@ папа луи : Well that's odd... treasure rooms should only be empty if you have it set that way in Mod Config Menu, and in that case you shouldn't be able to get in the treasure rooms the normal way (except in the ascent).

Could you share your seed, what other mods you're running, game version (Rep or Rep+), and - if you have it enabled - what your Mod Config Menu settings are? No worries if you don't want to, but without that information I won't be able to verify the issue or resolve it.

Oh wait, I think I actually know why that happened. When checking for the alt path door to remove it, the mod only checks the 4 door slots that can appear in a regular boss room, not the extras that can appear in a long boss room like the one in the screenshot. D'oh!

It's a simple fix though, I'll get an update out soon. Thank you for finding these issues!

@ Freezing Time : Hey, thank you for looking into it from your side. I have a theory about what might have happened. The game tries to spawn the void portal in grid position 97 (the central prize position), but if that position is occupied - e.g by the player - then it spawns it somewhere else. The mod covers for at least the first 2 positions it will try, but if both positions are occupied (maybe one by the player, and another by Lamb's body?), then it will spawn in a 3rd location I hadn't accounted for. If the void portal appeared in a spot that seemed a bit weird, that would confirm it.

So if true I think this should only happen on rare occasions, but I'm going to see if the game is OK with me just checking every square in the room for void portals.

It was my first run with this mod, so when there was a portal to delirium I haven't thought much about it, thinking that probably Mega Satan was placed later or smth

Also I collected the key from angels, as a force of habit. Not sure it matters though, since as I read later you give the keys later anyway.

The only mods I have activated are Flash Sounds and music, external item descriptions, CuerLib(just so I won't have to turn it on when some mods needs it), mod configure menu pure and your mod of course. Maybe it's because I'm playing on Rp+?

@ Freezing Time : Hmm, I can't reproduce. The portal does spawn in a different position if you stand where it would usually spawn, but I accounted for that... maybe you have other mods that are conflicting with it somehow?

After beating the Lamb, the portal to the Void has opened, which allowed me to skip Mega Satan. Is it a bug?

@ bayers21 : Yes, you need to have Mega Satan, the ??? floor, The Void floor, and the alt path unlocked, or the gauntlet won't work.

@ Kidding : Darn, sorry to hear that. If you can share your mod list, I can maybe try to figure out where the conflict is coming from, and if possible stop it from happening (or at least officially warn people not to run the offending mod at the same time as this one).

@ HolyGodLess : Hey, I'm not aware of mods adding to the difficulty options in the character select screen, but it might be possible.

But if it is, I don't think it would be worth all the work to implement, given you can already enable or disable the Gauntlet easily from the Mod Config Menu now. G. Normal and G. Hard wouldn't even cover all the difficulty options this mod has.

@ riquebeckem : OK, thanks. If you wanted to share your enabled mods, you could maybe link to an upload of screengrabs of your mod list (e.g. on imgur), but I would only do with that info what you're probably already doing - testing it by trial and error.

Hopefully you're doing the efficient trial and error method of disabling half the mods at a time. And if it happens regardless of which half of the mods are disabled, it's probably my mod alone which is causing it.

I did update just this week, so it's perfectly possible it is something I changed which is causing this issue, but that doesn't mean it isn't compatibility related.

I will test it by disabling a few of them, until it works as intended, just found it weird that it just stopped working out of the blue.

I'm on repentance, it happens every time, and it's when I beat downpour I, after I jump in the trapdoor.

I've also noticed another weird behavior. In my last test, the floor order went: Basement I, Burning basement II and Dross I and back to Basement I.

As for my mod list, is there a way to share them? Or do I have to type them out one by one? As i am running 100+ mods, some of which haven't been updated in a while ( but were still working a few months ago)

@riquebeckem : Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! I do have functions in this mod which change the current stage before level transitions, but I think of any that would move you to Basement I, and I can't reproduce.

Does it happen every time, or just some of the time? (E.g. when you resume a run, when you set it not to require knife pieces etc.)

Are you on Repentance or Repentance+?

And when it happens, do you jump into the trapdoor as expected or get the Forget Me Now animation?

Also, could you share the list of mods you had enabled at the time?

Hi, I really like the mod, but recently I've been having a weird bug where the floors just loop. After beating downpour, the next floor is basement 1 again.

It might be due to a recent update from this mod or another, as I haven't played in a few months, and it was fine back then.

With the Void Portal now being 100% chance, the mod could be updated with that in mind so its possible to get the Mega Satan completion mark.

The most difficult part for me is finishing a run without becoming so overpowered the game crashes too often :steamthumbsup:

I assume that you either have another mod enabled that's conflicting with this, or something very specific happened in your run that I hadn't accounted. If it's possible for me to resolve, I don't currently have enough information.

Your mod has an issue regard the ascending light/going to the Cathedral. I cannot physically go inside the light and even if I do, it doesn't teleport me to the next floor (a complete softlock). Please fix this error. :melogold:

This has been discussed in the comments previously, but unfortunately there is no way to make it give you the Mega Satan completion mark with this mod enabled, because if the mod doesn't move you to The Void before the mark would trigger, then there's a 50% chance the run will just end there. In general, the purpose of this mod isn't to make it easier to get completion marks, that's just a side effect of it.

Weird that you got the unlocks and Steam achievement without getting the mark though. I didn't know that could even happen.

Update: i played gain but now as the lost and i didn't get the steam achievement, the unlock OR the completions mark. Everyone other mark other EXCEPT mega stan especifically.

Since there doesn't seem to be bug report dicussion i'm posting this in the normal comments section:
I just made a run with this mod with Apollyon and i really liked it! One problem is that when you defeat Mega Satan you are automatically are sent to Void, because of this after i beat mega satan i got the steam achievement, i got the ingame unlock (locust of death) but i didn't get the checkmark on appolyon because i think it teleported me before it fully finished the animation.
Now i did have the "Always Void mod" which always spawn a void portal but i don't think that was th problem.
Anyway, i'll probally use the console to get the checkmark since, again, i already got the achievement and unlock, but i'd really like if this was fixed.
Loved the mod by the way! :D ( i destroyed Beast in less than a minute >:) )

@ Seefop : OK, I've looked into it, and it turns out this mineshaft sequence crash occurs with your other mods enabled regardless of whether this one is.

After some trial and error testing, I found that the issue is caused specifically by the 'DaBaby!!! Less Goooo' mod on its own (and your seed, items and character weren't a factor either). Do with that information what you will.

@ Khorneflakes : Ah ha, that's fair. It's compatible now anyways, so if folks would like to still fight fallen angels for the guaranteed Number Magnet, fight regular angels and get the Dark Room chests replaced with holy chests, or they just don't want to have to disable Devil Keys every time they do a Gauntlet run, they're free to leave it enabled.

The devil keys mod seems conceptually incompatible with this mod anyways. The entire point of the devil keys mod is that you're not locked out of the mega satan fight if you take devil deals. Since 30 floor gauntlet solves this issue anyways, there's not much point in having it enabled.

@ Mr.C : Update - I had more of a think, and I was able to work around the issue with the familiar, so now you do need to fight The Lamb still.

@ Mr.C : OK, I saw the problem. Even if you get the devil keys, they get taken away.

So, I've updated it to be compatible. If you have Devil Keys enabled, then you won't be automatically given regular Key Pieces, you'll instead get given both Devil Key Pieces when you beat The Lamb.

The major difference is that, due to me not understanding exactly how the Devil Key familiar works, if you get both devil keys from devils then you can go to Mega Satan as soon as you get to the Dark Room, if you want to, instead of the Lamb fight being mandatory. Not perfect, but it'll do.

(On the other hand, if you reset the floor after opening the MS door, you have to fight Lamb again to get another key, unlike what happens in that scenario usually.)

@ Mr.C : Oh, interesting, thanks for letting me know. Is the issue that the MS door doesn't open with devil keys, or just that if you don't get the devil keys you need, then you're softlocked?

If it's the former then I'll look into possibilities for making it more compatible, but if it's the latter then there's probably nothing I can really do.

Either way, it might be that a mod that guarantees you'll go through Mega Satan every run and a mod that adds extra restrictions on your ability to get to Mega Satan were never going to mesh.

incompatibility issue with the Devil Keys mod. That mod makes it so that to fight MS in a darkroom path, you need to get the devil keys (from bombing devil statues). If you get them before, they make the 4 chests on the regular chest Red chests.
