A solid mod, although in bad need of an update with "Unfinished Business" and the DLCs. The mod could also use some unique items and monsters, since the creator poured such a huge work into making it BIG. I promise you, you will not visit every location until you reach endgame.

Help - where do I get the Intricate Symbol Key for the final fight? Killed truckloads of hags, necromancers, and vampires and nothing. I can't get any useful info from Night Mother Merk as it's bugged and she tells me to... go talk to Night Mother Merk.

I have all DLCs. I managed to load the campaign in the dungeon maker by copying the json file from the steamapps workshop/download folder into Solasta\UserContent\Campaigns - editing works just fine now.
However I havn't been able to figure out what do delete in the sewers and eventually gave up on it and moved to another campaign in the meantime.

If you uploaded an edited version I wouldn't mind giving it another shot eventually since your campaign looked really promising so far.

If you want, I will edit a version that removes all recruitable NPCs tonight, and I'll upload it into the official discord channel and we can see if that's ultimately the problem (you'd have to start a new game though to see).

Yeah something very weird is going on but only for some, and I can't seem to pinpoint why. If edit is blanked out for you, it's probably because you don't have all the DLC (presumably), that's usually why you can't edit. While it only requires lost valley, I do have items from the other minor dlcs with classes included, but those typically don't show up for people without the dlc - though there has been reports in other campaigns of people getting a dlc item for a class/dlc they don't have, and then it corrupting the save file because of it, it's possible there might be something happening here that's doing that.

I wish I could recreate the bug on my end (on multiple pcs/steam deck with and without unfinished business mod and it won't happen for me, and there's many other players including a guy doing a let's play on YouTube who's even recruited said companions and it's not corrupting for them).

We've also been running into the safe corruption issue in the sewers. the area can be entered exactly once, any attempt to reenter after leaving it or loading a save game that was made while being in the sewers will result in a crash (see below).

u mentioned a way to remove the companions manually in the editor assuming they are the issue, but i dont seem to be able to edit the campaign (the edit button is greyed out). im new to custom campaigns, how exactly do you edit the campaign?

any form of help is appreciated, thanks

@neoman, I tried loading my campaign from my PC build with unfinished business mod with an older version, and tried again with the newest version, and I can't seem to recreate the bug in the sewers, monastery or Legion fort. I have no idea what is different about your install than mine with or without the mod.

@Dallas S Not sure if I'm missing something obvious but I don't seem to be able to edit the dungeon. I can import it if I start a new campaign with it, but that doesn't help if I'm trying to edit an active campaign.

I also tried starting a new campaign and speeding directly to the town, but still having the issue once I try loading any of the mentioned areas. It's a pity, this campaign looked really fun.

@neoman just to update, I started a new game on my steam deck vanilla install (no mods) and the monastery and places with recruitable NPCs is working for me. I haven't tried my PC build with the mod yet, it may be possible a new update of the unfinished business mod screwed something up, it's happened before by accident. I'll try my modded version tomorrow

@neoman this is very odd. I haven't updated in awhile and it was working fine since the update, I don't know what's changed except maybe an unfinished business mod update messing with something?

From what I can tell by your errors, it seems to be upset with the NPC companions and their damage affinities. I'm going to test without unfinished business mod and with to see if there's an issue there. Otherwise the quick solution would be to remove the NPC companions from the factions in the dungeon maker (you can try this yourself by going into dungeon maker and removing the two recruitable NPCs in the monastery, thieves guild and Legion fort. If you do this route, change the version number of the mod when you save and try loading your save, choosing to load from disk to update).

I will do some tests today and see if I can get to the bottom of it

@Dallas S This seems to be happening in multiple areas now, can't enter the sewers, legion area, or monastery without errors and the save corrupting. Any idea what the issue might be? Ran it by the UB guy in case the problem lay there, and he seemed to think the 'item' was missing from the campaign, but that may be misinterpretation on my end.

@brooksalexanderrogers I'm having the same issue with the monastery, and any time I go into the sewers from town. The errors I'm getting for sewer are:

@brooksalexanderrogers might be mod issue or another issue. There's nothing in the campaign that will cause it to crash if you unlock that door. I've done it myself with lockpicks and I even just watched a guy do it on a let's play video with lockpicks

@neoman, yes there are a bunch of stash places. pretty much anywhere with a long rest has a chest nearby for stash, specifically the faction headquarters and the tavern room

My best take is go the Bow Ranged build, there is only +1 crossbows available until very late in the campaign, just before the final fight. You can get both of the top tier bows earlier. (Longbows)

A decision to make: Crossbow ranged build or Bow ranged build. Both require feat investment, but crossbows do slightly more damage. The only deciding factor is if there are any good magical crossbows available in this campaign and how they compare to the bows.

I even went back to an earlier save before I unlocked the door to the cemetery and when I entered the Monastery, I got the same situation again, my saves after entering the Monastery are corrupted and un-loadable.

I seem to have discovered an issue with the Monastery and the Dead Marshes Cemetery. I opened up the locked door to the cemetery with thieves tools and then when I entered the Monastery, all my saves from that point forward are corrupted and can't be loaded. I think the fact that I opened the locked door to the cemetery on my own without being given a key yet resulted in some sequence glitch as soon as I entered the Monastery and this effected those saves.

Dude, your work here is *amazing!!* My God. I'm 40 hours deep in this module with no sight of being close to finished. There's not only a TON of content, but there's all these factions to play around with, tons of maps to explore and great encounters, fantastic loot and the overall campaign is high high QUALITY. Really digging it man, thank you so much for blessing us with this! Looking forward to more from you (once I'm done with this.) Peace!!

Thank you for your efforts, I believe this must have taken a lot of your time. I haven't finished all the content yet, but I'm having a lot of fun! I can hardly wait for the evil route!

As for suggestions, I think the Tower of Sorcery is difficult to access in the early game, making it hard for mages to obtain scrolls and spellbooks. Moreover, I hope to see the addition of some scroll recipes, there are many materials in the game, but they don't have enough uses.

@umc4life I'm sorry you didn't like that, I've actually had people tell me that the dungeon was too easy. The good thing is that dungeon is completely optional and you do not have to go into it if you don't want to.

@sheva_75 yes 6 man party can play but I'd recommend putting up the difficulty. I do plan on a hardcore version in the future for mod users to make it challenging for 6 party at default difficulty.

It is also open world and I am adding more quests and content in, but I've slowed down the last month due to having a second baby (2 under 2) and haven't had the time to add quests. I'll get back into it as soon as I can.

@everyone the map transition bug is supposed to be fixed on the next update, but in the meantime I'm gonna remove the exit lore from exits to fix it for multiplayer.

The map transition bug only affects transitions which have lore text included, all others are fine. And it originates from the Palace of Ice dlc.

Just leaving this here,was playing throughout campaign(we had stopped playing for like 3 weeks), around the swamp hag village. the zoning back and forth into the redeemer dungeon etc was fine, as soon as we went back to town and identified loot, and sold excess stuff. can no longer change zones. zones that we were able to traverse before going to town.

The map transition bug has gotten worse. Only the Main Gate and tavern transition in town work in multi-player, no matter if you click yes or no.

@kexi it's a weird new bug from the palace of ice DLC. Apparently selecting "no" when you transition should actually transition you.

@无弦琴 I just added the companions in the latest update, so as of right now I don't have a dismiss method (will be adding it in a future update). For now your best bet is to suicide them, maybe hit them with aoe attacks or something during battle to speed up the process.

Why do the hags respawn in every map when you save the sister? I had to fight through two maps with nothing but armies of hags to get to her, only for all of them to pop back in IMMEDIATELY after she joined the party. It's frustrating and not fun.

@bentera I've reported the bug to the devs officially, but for now they're telling me to wait until after the next update as they are fixing tons of small things which may have contributed to the new bug.

I've had reports of exits without the lore seem to work, so I've been removing the lore on exits in the later updates. It's just I got 60+ maps with multiple exits so it's easy for some to fall through the cracks.
