Does this still works?
Gikgik  [author] 12 Jun, 2020 @ 5:18am
Found a simple dumb bug. Hope to update soon.
von_das 11 Jan, 2020 @ 2:04am
It seems absurdly easy to turn Mexico into a virtually crime-free society.

@Ace of East you never know...
Ace of East 19 Jul, 2019 @ 1:42pm
The whole idea is great(the game is more realistic). But two types of curfew doesn't exist in any country, and .... Street Jugdes , Seriously!?
Knickout89 16 Sep, 2018 @ 12:00pm
Works for me. Thanks!
Cots5 4 Jan, 2018 @ 3:54pm
elimitate "the purge2" policie, is so stupid and unrealistic
BugEso 25 Dec, 2017 @ 2:46am
Same problem as lower post, when loading a game when both this and the overhaul pack are installed it will crash the game.
TastesLikeWall 14 Jul, 2017 @ 8:29am
Unsure why, but after careful troubleshooting, this mod is incompatible with overhaul pack, and will throw multiple neural not found errors regarding factions and other things.
Patriot 25 May, 2017 @ 4:30pm
Does the gun tax increase crime like in real life?
Freeasabird🕊 3 Apr, 2017 @ 11:46pm
America has the Big mac index, Canada has Maple syrup consumption, Mexico should have data like this as well, like Burrito consumption or something.
cbroadwater2453 11 Jul, 2016 @ 1:36pm
P.S.

Totally agree, there HAS to be a policy that can criminalize police brutality.
Also, crime should affect police brutality; lower crime rates should lower police brutality, if my crime rate is through the floor, so should my police brutality.

I guess that was more than one thing! Great mod!

Last thing

Why on Earth does the Intelligence Services raise police brutality?
cbroadwater2453 11 Jul, 2016 @ 1:36pm
Hey!!! Love the mod!

One thing!

Private security should be affected by the police force (ie the bigger the police force, the smaller private security is, not only because people/firms/communities would feel they didn't need it, but also because they now have to pay more taxes to maintain the larger police force

and vice versa, if you cut the police force entirely, private security would shoot up immediately to fill that void, since people/firms/communities would feel they needed it, and would be able to afford it IF there was an equal tax cut, so crime levels would remain the same after the brief adjustment)

Also the size of the police force should affect police brutality
Hanniah (she/they) 9 Jul, 2016 @ 4:30pm
I'm with Carlton Banks on this one. Internal Affairs are a widely important policy in for this mod and for real life.
@n_erecti!e_disfunction 29 Jun, 2016 @ 9:59am
This mod is incompatibile with the overhaul pack.
The Last Roman 26 Jun, 2016 @ 6:29am
I'm finding it to be virtually impossible to get rid of the Police Brutality situation without disarming the police. Too many other things affect it badly to remove it otherwise (Military and Boarder Control? Why?)

Perhaps an "Internal Affairs" policy that hurts state employees but hits brutality and corruption hard?
limith 16 Jun, 2016 @ 6:19pm
Thanks Gikgik :)
[MG] Miguelangel 15 Jun, 2016 @ 4:13pm
is only with mexico?
Gikgik  [author] 15 Jun, 2016 @ 4:13pm
Coming up: A Vice Squad policy, which would bring down drug addiction.
limith 9 Jun, 2016 @ 2:45am
Regarding Narcotics, the USA Revamped mod has D.A.R.E which reduces drug use and a similar policy could be added to this mod. I found it hard to deal with narcotics due to GDP despite jacking up airport security and border control to max. Also Media censorship could potentially affect narcotics usage.
Jon[INTHERE]arific 8 Jun, 2016 @ 10:14am
Greeteings, I love the idea of the mod, but I have one question. Does this mod change the effects of "armed police" on "armed robbery?" robbery doesn't seem to go down anymore, I wasn't sure if it was this mod that changes that or if it was a conflict with another mod.
pahkinaa 18 May, 2016 @ 5:16am
I also seem to have problems with loading the game with this mod. The game seems to crash each time.
Gikgik  [author] 19 Apr, 2016 @ 9:55am
Version 1.57:
* Street Judges and Rural Guerrilla added.
* Various balancing. Violent Crime and Crime make the electorate much more conservative.
* Auto-generated names added to several dilemmas.
Gikgik  [author] 29 Mar, 2016 @ 5:46pm
The poor people are always 25% of the electorate. Seems it cannot be changed.

As said before, Police Weapons requires less political capital to be implemented, and can be pushed further.
steez77 26 Mar, 2016 @ 2:49pm
Why doesn't The Purge reduce "poor" membership?
NewDawn☭ 16 Mar, 2016 @ 11:48am
Hey this seems to be a great mod here! Can you put it also on positech forums? It may have some further success!
Doofus 10 Nov, 2015 @ 1:24pm
There are already Armed Police in the vanilla game...
mentalistpro 31 Oct, 2015 @ 9:59pm
I have a problem of loading saves with this mod. The save crashes when I try to load old saves, however, crashes do not happen when I try to open a new game.

PS I have installed all your mods (except Policies Mod) and the Overhaul Pack by Zander273.
Emperor Jason 7 Oct, 2015 @ 11:07am
I have the same issue as Arthur P. My game immediately crashes when going to the next turn.
The mexican pro 90 noob 13 Sep, 2015 @ 5:35pm
the purge? omg
Gikgik  [author] 13 Sep, 2015 @ 1:10pm

Game freezes after first turn
Gikgik  [author] 31 May, 2015 @ 6:49pm
Version 1.55:
* War on Drugs dilemma removed (now in Superpower mod)
* New dilemmas: Juvenile Offenders, Income-based Fines, and Televised Trials
* New Private Security icon
* Various balancing
Gikgik  [author] 17 May, 2015 @ 5:09pm
Some policies that reduce Police Brutality are Community policing, CCTV cameras, and Jury Trial.
Aloden 10 Apr, 2015 @ 10:43pm
Love the mod but can you add some policies to reduce police brutality, like internal affiars and helmet cameras?
Gikgik  [author] 29 Jan, 2015 @ 10:21am
Have you tried restarting the game?
Entraboard 19 Jan, 2015 @ 11:18am
I can't seem to play Mexico when I have the mod active and start a new game.
Any suggestions or am I missing something?
Gikgik  [author] 16 Jan, 2015 @ 8:30am
The "Professor arrested" event is a reference to a real-life event: the arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. The President had a real dilemma whether to criticize the arrest.

Emergency Curfew has similar effects to the original Curfews policy. One major difference, is that it requires more Political Capital, and can therefore be easily implemented.
Gikgik  [author] 16 Jan, 2015 @ 8:11am
Updates with version 1.452: Various balancing. Religion has less impact on alcohol consumption. Prisons prevent street gangs and drug addictions, but are slightly more expensive.
Garynt99 6 Jan, 2015 @ 3:59am
Also isn't an emergency curfew the same as regular curfew? If it isn't shouldn't it be similar to marshal law? As well as armed police. Why add them when the vanilla game already added them?
Garynt99 6 Jan, 2015 @ 3:57am
Gikgik, I hate to be the typical skeptical douchebag but unfortunatley I am. I have a question regarding the professor burgling his home. Is such instance neccesary for the government to get involved in? Because it seems needless and not to mention a bit authortarian for the government to get in on private and small matters
blitzthedragon 5 Jan, 2015 @ 12:36pm
Fair enough, though I highly recommend nerfing the effect of low religious population. I really don't like having to impose strict alcohol laws and high alcohol taxes because it pisses off so many people, and seems unrealistic. So while I don't mind religious people holding down the rate of drinking and drug use, the increase in the two shouldn't shoot up so much.

As I said, though, this is one of my favorite mods and I am extremely happy that I'm finally able to play it.
Gikgik  [author] 5 Jan, 2015 @ 9:19am
Maybe the effect is too strong, but it is true that I wanted something good to come out of religion.

Harsh alcohol laws and high alcohol taxes could fix the drinking problem. And for drugs, players should consider to legalize.
blitzthedragon 3 Jan, 2015 @ 11:12pm
Now that I have found this mod works on my older computer, I have been able to enjoy it, and I must say it's excellent. I do have one point of criticism: Alcohol consumption is always ridiculously high when I secularize society, so drug and alcohol abuse become unsolvable epidemics. This is caused by the "Religious (Percentage)" factor driving drug and alcohol use up. I am guessing you did that for balancing purposes, but I find it a bit unrealistic to assume that secular societies drink and shoot up more.
Gikgik  [author] 2 Jan, 2015 @ 2:51am
Version 1.541:
* Tried to fix compatibility issues with other mods.
* Balancing.
Gikgik  [author] 31 Dec, 2014 @ 12:30am
Version 1.54:
* Added Mexico.
* Fixed missing graphics.
* Balancing.
Gikgik  [author] 30 Dec, 2014 @ 7:31pm
Version 1.53:
* Emergency Curfew policy.
* Updated graphics.
* Balancing.
Gikgik  [author] 15 Dec, 2014 @ 7:01pm
Version 1.52:
* Police Force and Racial Tension increase Police Brutality. (Police Force was overpowered; I usually found myself having the Police Force at maximum spending all the time.)
* New dilemma: Court Dress.
* Various balancing.
