Thanks SnugSnug, appreciate your work and efforts :beeped:

@ Laughing Forest - Yes.
This mod will add custom textures to all weapons mesh mods that support vanilla or near vanilla uvmaps.
Weapons .mod will add mesh/models that can take any custom skins that follow vanilla or near vanilla uvmaps.

Load order will determine which are used if more than 1 mod alters the same target, so end user experience will vary slightly on mod list composition and order.

Oh wow thanks SnugSnug.

So if I use that collection plus this skin would that achieve being able to insert them into the world with the skins?
SnugSnug  [author] 8 Feb @ 12:44pm
@ Laughing Forest - There is a weapon and equipment collection link at top of this page for the modded weapons shown in first few pictures, or https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2152120305 for some of the latter ones. Hope that helps.

For what appears to be some new models from the screens in the preview pane, such as the swamper or holy swords ... those are *not* included in this mod, correct? Only the skins that will get applied to a weapon if it spawns with the related manufacturer?

I'm looking forward to updating the mod.

I'm not sure what you mean, but weapon skin mods usually go alongside the original and other modded in skins
Laughing Forest 17 Nov, 2024 @ 12:18pm
I do notice some NPCs have a weapon from this group PLUS another main weapon. Is that a normal thing when disseminating weapons like that?

Thanks again for this mod

This mod is incredible, can't believe I am only discovering it now

Quickly became one of my favorite mods! This adds so much life into the world and breathes fresh air into the weapon system.
Bad Poisonx 23 Oct, 2023 @ 8:52pm
fantastic stuff!

That's incredibly kind and thank you, I appreciate it. The mod obviously wouldn't exist without SnugSnug and I'm about to update it to incorporate the skins I missed, the "Vanilla Grades"

I just want to compliment and thank the mod author for this extremely well thought out mod. Usually with a mod this complex, particularly with Kenshi mods, there are often many stylistic and balancing issues that I have to take the time to carefully correct in the FCS. Not this one. It's flawless from the start, I can just drop it in my mod list and forget about it, there's nothing overpowered and nothing out of place. Well done.

re: faction themes open?
Factions.mod - private
Faction Themes.mod - public
Faction Skins.mod - public
If by open you mean open source then no, but they are available as resources if one wants them for modding, but best to discuss that on their own pages.

Hope that helps/

faction Themes is Open?
Trinity  [author] 16 Feb, 2023 @ 4:57pm
if you guys want to make some changes to the stats, balancing them n shit, feel free to do so. I'm not the best at making these, so if they're wicked overpowered be sure to let me know
Trinity  [author] 16 Feb, 2023 @ 4:33pm
I also don't know if I interpreted these skins correctly, as I am going to have to see them in game to see if they were actually the proper skins for each faction theme. tbh I can't even open the vanilla textures and see them, I don't understand how to get a fully opaque texture out of a semi-transparent one
Trinity  [author] 16 Feb, 2023 @ 4:33pm
Unfortunately, as I was trying to tell you SnugSnug, your Dark Meitou.mod file doesn't make any changes within FCS, there are no new model instances where these skins have been linked first by your mod, therefore I cannot link these files from your mod folder as FCS will throw a code otherwise. I'm only allowed to reference raw files from within my own mod folder (what I did here, and actually was going to wait for the ok from you, but people were telling me they couldn't see it when it was made Unlisted, plus I went to bed, so idk :kabuki:) or from the vanilla game's folders.
I would love to be able to just link yours and allow you to update. Especially those "redo" textures. I couldn't figure out what most of them were supposed to be, I think I did make out some damascus, but I don't know how to see these textures unless I load them into Kenshi.
Trinity  [author] 16 Feb, 2023 @ 4:33pm
This is a weapon manufacturer mod that adds this guy's skins from his resource mod pack as new weapon manufacturers that spawn along-side the vanilla ones on vanilla npcs, in vanilla vendor lists and even as artifacts. Eventually I'll make simple methods and research to craft these skins.
also thanks for the compliment, if you have any models, send them over and I'll work with you to make them :kabuki:

@Zhter

This is an end user mod where hopefully everything is in place for the player to enjoy, courtesy of Trinity's efforts.

Faction skins is a resource library for modders who wanted some new textures but don't have the time or inclination to make their own, or just fancy using some ready mades in their own projects.

This could have been made as a dependency mod, but is it's own creature so shouldn't require any additional subs.
