latest update 1.6.3 for last version is out now.

the problem that the game crash if the menu is opened two times is fixed.

if there are any problems , just tell me

not only that. every stellaris patch makes it worse to write a mod. you always have to figure out in which file the problem is and everytime paradox makes a change that it gets harder to find it...

Does not remove Habitats or Major Orbitals in 4.0 in its current form. Hopefully the update will fix this.

Paradox has a big mental problem if they really think it's okay to have only a few megastructures be removable.

It's NOT fun putting a megastructure in a bad spot or getting ownership of one just to not be able to remove it.

Hello everyone

Version 1.6.2 is out

-i fixed the problem with the dyson swarm and the dyson spehre. now after you remove the megastructure,the star no longer has the flag that there are already a arc furnace.
now you can just build the megastructure on the same planet or star again.

-i tested the habitats and i dont have any problems. if anyone has a problem to remove a habitat, then tell me

-planets with removed orbit rings also dont have the flag that there still is a orbit ring

-problems with other mods like gigastructures etc. are common, because this mod was created for the vanilla version of stellaris. as next step i will update the list of megastructures from other mods

if you have any problems with the mod, just tell me

would it be possible to enable the vanilla behaviour of deconstructing mega structures for all other mega structures?

If so that might be a cleaner way to handle it (if only UI wise)

In regards of my issues with the Dyson Sphere. There are two steps I had to do to completely remove any link to the megastructure:
- effect remove_megastructure = this (when selecting the megastructure)
- clearflag planet has_megastructure #planetID#
- effect remove_modifier = dyson_swarm_3_mod

i read all your comments and i will try to fix the problems.
but the biggest problem was the last stellaris update with the new arc furnace and so on.
i dont want to update the mod the the newest version just to have these bugs in it.
i will try to solve all the problems but it takes me time.

Noticed the same thing here. The mod doesn't remove the tag on the star system it was in. I have one that still thinks it has a Dyson Sphere in it after deleting it.

Also, not sure what the cause is, but the native option to remove a Dyson Swarm is no longer visible after enabling this mod.

The mod will remove orbital rings, but doesn't seem to be clearing the planets tag for "has orbital ring"

hey author can you check is there problem with habitat, I cannot remove it even I removed all major and minor orbital and after do that the game crash.??????

Not sure if I've got a conflict or something, but assuming the EP's Additional Megastuctures you mention in your description is https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3155789435 , I cannot remove the Nicoll-Dyson Fortification from that mod. Which is especially annoying as it's blocking ACOT fotress upgrades.

@Faplz I tested with only two megas so I'm not sure how widely what I'm about to say applies, but it seems like it doesn't work for Dyson Spheres but does for other megas, probably due to the whole Dyson Swarm into Dyson Sphere shenanigans considering the Dyson Swarm still technically exists after upgrading to the Sphere even though it cant be seen or selected.

@Zeypheron: The problem should be fixed that you can not build a megastructure on the same planet again. pleas try it and tell me if it works.

I don't mean rebuilding the megastructure you remove, I mean using the same celestial body for a different megastructure.

Actually you can rebuild megastructures, but you are right with the tag.

Is there anyway to make it so that when you remove a megastructure you're able to build a new megastructure in its place? Cause currently when you remove the megastructure the celestial body it was on is permanently no longer able to have a megastructure built on it, presumably because whatever method this mod uses to remove megastructures doesn't remove the "has megastructure" tag from the celestial body.

Update 1.6.0 is out.

after stellaris version 3.12.3 you can remove 4 megastructures without this mod (this is good)
you can find these structures in the description of this mod.

with 1.6.0 of this mod you can now remove ring worlds without removing the entire solar system.
so now it works properly.

i take out the 4 megastructures which can be removed in the normal vanilla, because you would have 2 different ways to remove these megastructures. so there are no errors from the mod, only stellaris fault.

next step is to add all gigastructures from the mod: Gigastructural Engineering & More version 3.11
and to fix the known bug if you close the remover and want to open it again that the game crash.

@Order Prerogative yes i know about this bug. but that is a problem with the hardcode of the game. and the hardcode can not modded or scriptetd. but maybe i can find a other way to pretend this bug

Not sure if this is your mod to blame, but will warn anyway.

If you open the edict to remove megas, close it with esc (twice, closing everything basically). Then, I tried to open the edicts page again, and it crashed my game.

After deleting Orbital Arc Furnace, the buff brought by Orbital Arc Furnace on the planet will still remain.

I don't create changelogs, but you can now remove all new megastructures. It is only work in progress, because of the refund alloys you get.
