[Fix] Compatibility fixes for the latest game version; reduced errors.
[New] [Diplomatic Action: Vanity Project] (Test Version) — lets you customize the government_type of a colonial subject.
Mainly designed for players annoyed by seeing their colonies labeled as "Presidential Dictatorship". The implementation is admittedly clunky, but it’s the most stable and user-friendly solution I’ve come up with. Please let me know what you think!
[Adjustment] Tweaked requirements for [Diplomatic Action: Develop Economy].
[New] The journal now attempts to "Earn Recognition" for subject to prevent late-game independence.
[Fix] Fixed a bug in the beta version that could cause the journal to remain unable to complete.
[New] Added a backup button “Mandate the Mission", allowing the journal to complete even if bugged. AI can also use this option.
[New] Added “Change Colonial Culture” button, allowing overlords with multiple primary cultures to choose which one applies to the colony.
[New] If you choose to fully overwrite the colony's culture, it now gains a permanent modifier (from vanilla) that encourages territorial incorporation.
[New] If you pick a non-Interventionist economic policy in the "Sound of Progress" event, colonial industrialists will now gain the “Colonialist” ideology. This may cause weird behavior—but mirrors vanilla mechanics.
[Balance] Adjusted effects of “Servants of Servants” and “Fighting the Landlords” events.

日志最后会延长一个月,通过隐藏事件,帮助附庸提前完成“获取认可”日志,以免那个日志之后完成导致殖民政府独立。
如果BPM这类模组修改了原版的“获取认可”日志,那么确实可能发生所述问题。

A tricky problem it is, as there is no numerical parameter available to define the priority of government types.
Someone is introducing a variable-based solution that will hopefully allow players to set the government types themselves.
This version ensures compatibility with the latest official patch, enriches journal buttons, and includes several bug fixes.
Most notably, the mysterious independence of colonies reported by some players, has finally been solved.
The issue stemmed from the vanilla “Earn Recognition” journal, which, upon completion, changes the country_type to "recognized", replacing "colonial", effectively nullifying colonial government.
Since Paradox didn’t implement any failure triggers for this journal, and the game lacks any built-in effect to close a journal entry, once triggered, it must be completed one way or another.
To address this, Dereko added a hidden effect to ensure it concludes properly, which may result in your “Establish Colonial Government” journal taking 1 additional month to complete.
More content for 1.9 is still under development. Have fun!

In 1.8, Paradox added a colonial subject system (Colony/Company-Dominion), which requires the subject to maintain in "Colonial" country type.
It's likely that your subject completes the journal - Earning Recognition, which grants it "Recognized" country type.
Such change of country type will make the former subject type invalid, turning it into an independent state.
To solve the problem without editing the vanilla file, I may have to add an effect to close the journal by force in the next version. But so far I haven't tested if it works.
