This mod is pretty good, but there is one thing that I found weird. When I suggest vassalage + defensive alliance, the bot always agrees. I tested this feature in my sessions and EVERY bot has become my vassal. I think it shouldn't work like this, because earning a vassal through diplomacy must be difficult or something :aushrug: Can you fix it?

Can not select objective for World Congress. Selecting bill to put to vote freezes and you can't pick a bill.

It's a big deal for the AI because a) it creates a negative diplomatic modifier, so it's like creating enemies for your enemies, which is extremely useful and b) it prevents trading luxuries, techs, and gpt which can be crippling.

looking for information on the third party embargos. it seems like a big deal to the AI and I want to understand why? seems like nothing changes when a deal is worked out

Hey, so I found typos in the Iska_DiploMods.lua file. It references resources without the R, like "RESOUCE_IRON", "RESOUCE_HORSE", etc. I assume the variables that the code is trying to reference aren't also misspelled, right? Cause I added the Rs for the new game I'm about to start.

Regardless, this is probably my favorite mod! I highly recommend it to people.

Is there a way to modify this mod to enable or disable certain features? I don't play with City-States turned on, so I'd like to remove all the features related to City-States to save on memory space.

Great mod.

Only issue I am encountering is the inability to use Envoys. Like a previous poster mentioned, it is just red even when I have acquired Envoys via technology/policies. Any thoughts?

Do you have any fixes you're aware of to the third-party embargo system between this version and Il Principe? I seem to get constant contact from leaders wanting to trade me gpt to embargo another civ, but sometimes I'm already embargoing them (I believe) and it seems to be a huge exploit to generate tons of gold because I can technically still trade with those civs and do the same thing back to their enemies. If there has been a fix, can I commission you to backport it here? I don't want the government and policy changes in that mod.

Might've encountered a bug. Envoy option is RED and i can't use envoys even when i have the technologies (Writing for example). Tried using this one mod alone and still encountered the problem

I've noticed that when you go hover with your mouse over the science, gold, happiness and culture icons on the top of your screen ingame, this mod can cause the brief pop-up descriptions of those icons to be blank.

Where are the logs I'm supposed to publish this in?

It works by itself. The issue is on your end, You're having a mod/EUI compatibility issue.

It would mean merging the DLLs together, which is doable, just tricky and time consuming. If you want to take a crack at it, lmk and I'll send you the dll source.

This is a really cool mod, i just wanted to let you know that when you adopt a state religion, it uses the default name of the religion instead of a custom name.

Hey guys, I just published a mod called 'Il Principe' which is a compilation of all the mods I've recently made. Included in it are the following bugfixes/additions to C4DF:
- Fixed issue where DoF was available when already DoF
- Fixed issue where AI would trade Vassalage for anything if anything else was on their side of the deal
- Added minimum/maximum cap of 100/300 to AI's evaluation of Maps value. (May need lower min cap.)
- Moved Tech Trading to Mathematics and Map Trading to Compass
- Removed Vassal Levy on Era Advance

If anyone really hates playing with the other added elements in the mod lmk and I'll go to the fifteen minutes of effort necessary to update this (which should now be considered unsupported, obsolete) with the changes.

Cool deal. Yeah if Mathematics is too unbalanced then maybe Education? That at least makes sense in-universe; you're "educating" the other civ about a tech. That brings it into play at least one era earlier.

Second, the unlock of tech trading is way too late in the game to really matter, would like that to unlock with Mathematics. My reasoning: the game doesn't reward civs that are part of a larger continent, and in fact, it's entirely possible that a small island nation can lead the world in tech if they get their wonder races right. Continents with hundreds of pops should progress more through the game than island nations IMHO.

Finally, I find the Vassal Levy feature to be unbalanced (I think it gives you new copies of some units your vassals have every time you reach a new tech era) and broken (the notification link is just the text key).

I want to echo the other players and thank you for putting together this mod, continuing the activity of CiV modding!

Couple things I want to ask if it's possible for you to fix about C4DF though, if I may:

It's almost impossible to use the "Make Peace With" diplo feature because the AI almost always has "The Leader you're speaking with has no desire to declare peace with this player", and the option for them to go to peace with the target player is grayed out. I really would like to see the restrictions loosened up.

Make a peace deal when they're losing really badly and they (may, they won't if they think there's a chance or if they're really pissed off) offer Capitulation as part of the peace deal. Capitulation makes them your vassal.

Im confused on how your force vassulation. I completely defeated my enemy (took all cities) and I didnt get an option to vassulize them. How is forced vassulation done?

Hey! Yeah just recently I updated the all in one version to be compatible with my other mod 'one tile city starts' It should only be doing that when that other mod is installed, but I guess I goofed. I'll update the mod today with a fix. Thanks for letting me know! (Also your English is pretty good my guy 👍)

Hi ! In first thanks for all your mods, they make the game better. Great job.
But i have a problem. I have the two versions of the " all in one " diplomavy, the basic and the "+"
The basic version works fine but the + is for me unplayable. With the + all founded towns start with one tile only. It's not a problem for a human player but it's a problem for AI. AI is almost unable to developp 1 tile town and it found 1 tile towns everywhere, again and again. It's only with this version, the basic all in one works perfectly.

When trading with other civs, the offered goods are not visible, so even if you know what you're offering, you can't see the counter offer. in diplomacy overview other civs and their scores are not visible
