Fun little map, but the amount of units you can get is too much, I would suggest lowering the number of arachnids per wave and perhaps reducing the total supply by 1/3, the game engine seems to struggle with the number of units on the map and too many arachnids clumped up leads to them going single-file a bit much.

This is a great map, good balance of attack and defence. It really gave the feel of being swarmed by an unending tide of Arachnids. One glitch I encountered was that my battle phase wouldn't increase unless I saved the game, exited and re-loaded. This was the case for every new battle phase level. When I re-loaded and started to get level X, it would increase to that next level then stay frozen at the new one (i was building the new buildings for upgraded units).

Love the Map and the variety of units you can bring. Only problem is the time between waves and the amount of bugs that come out. it starts to lag especially when i switch back to my strike team and my base team. Would be helpful if you put 2 minutes in between waves so that my frame rate can catch up

Seems like a good map, but not enough time between waves for offensive action, and the growing numbers of bugs is too much - my computer started slowing down. Not very fun to play when you have to manage two waves of attacks and also try to mount some type of defense. I will no longer play any games with waves of attacks, especially increasing numbers of arachnids, just takes the strategic fun. One or two waves of attacks would be fine to test defenses, but not unending.

good map in the mind set of ST : wave of bugs. Perhaps too much :), i was limit to play at the end. (32 mb RAM Proc I7 and 3060 Graphic card) ! But Great pleasure to try many plans to defeat Bugs :)

Great map, almost finished it, but bugs were in greater numbers plus with that many bugs, game started to slow down, it was unplayable :(

Ok, updated, I tested and it is working finally. I'm sorry all that it took a long time, I had to re-write a few stuff. But I'm working back on new maps and, now, a new campaign =)

Ok, found the problem finally... I had to dig up the log from the game. But I don't know what is wrong, since everything is correct and as before. The error seems to happen write after the game calls "Set trigger folder Waves active". So I will re-write this now and test.

yeah it keeps crashing on me, HMG turrets on the left side of the base when the bugs spawn is where it keeps crashing for me

Seems like the update created some problems in the map. And I can't solve it for now =(
But I will check how to restore it and change the parts that are crashing.

I'm also crashing. Never used to crash. It was about a month ago that it wasn't crashing for me. Seems to happen as soon as I capture all the sentries in the base.

I cant play it. a t the minute 10, the game just close and send me to de desktop. I tried to play 6 times, and it always do the same. The map looks amazing, and the history hype me, but i cant play it :(

@Kobama Yea but later in the map you get no war support so you might want the early points. I find that I have to move very quickly because the waves get so damn intense but war support increases do not correspond to the increased difficulty and it becomes impossible to win at a certain point.

It wont let me play it as every time i finish capturing the main base and the cutscenes finish playing the game crashes. I don't know if its my computer that's the problem or the game.

Good map but you get to much war support to fast ,fortunately 2nd one fixes that problem so its a big plus for me :D Great job man and Im waiting for 3rd and 4th ;p

Extremely fun and enjoyable map! I love clearing the map one stage at a time and there was plenty of varied terrain to make different approaches somewhat challenging. I would have loved a big, climactic hold at the end, with all the supply and war support you get. Otherwise, a great map!

I liked this map because I had some time to get defenses up and attack closer nests, Part of what I don't like is the frenetic nature of certain maps where I just get overrun, At least give me a chance to set up a base and attack from it. Your map was good at this.

So, playing through... So far a really nice experience! Noticed a 1 second delay between briefings after you capture the civilian camp! (just takes me out of the immersion of a "cutscene" personally.. I'd suggest removing the wait timer! :)

Really enjoyed the map. If anything, the player could get fewer supply but I felt in control the whole way through.

Great map alltogether, but towards the end unplayable for me, cause all the bugs were just to much for my system to handle anymore. Literally thausends of bugs on the map just crash the game...

Hi Alex.

I replayed the mission and the bug waves were working as intented.
Maybe i had a previous version of the map, who knows.

It really changed the difficulty and pace of the mission compared to the first time i played :)

2) Oh, I guess I did not let them get too much near it, I will test more, tks for the tip too.

3) Yes, the whole problem maybe it is related to the waves. It was supposed to be much harder. In any case, I plan to make it harder in next map. I will check this one again.

1) Yes, I think I fixed that in the last update. Did you play the last one? Let me know if yes, so I can check again (I did play the full map a few times already).

2) I think this is more a problem with the game itself =( because of the many caves / hives. Sometimes some units get stuck among other units and I think it might be happening with this one in particular too. I did a "stress" test to check for potential errors and sometimes this happens. Maybe I will have to remove that part.

Thank you very much for your work, you are well done and have done a great job. There are a few suggestions for improving your map:
1. The top right hive. You can go there even without looking at the border of the map, make a bigger rock there or put an invisible blocking wall (it is in the scenery section in the editor)
2. When waves of bugs attack, then at the base they get stuck in the center between the buildings and because of this they are easy to kill
3. There are a lot of resources on the map, the mission is very easy to pass, it seems to me that we need to make it more difficult so that there is a test
4. Due to the fact that you made the waves one in the triggers, they are poorly displayed on the map and the hive is a little buggy. Make attacks from each side a separate trigger.

First of all, a very good map. Bravo for your effort.

I would like to point 2 things.

1) The bug waves stopped after the 6th or 7th wave ( i'm not sure which exactly). I dont know if thats intended, or its because i captured the right base, or for some other reason.

2)The top top main bug lair ( hive 6 i think, with a strength of 2 ), was not spawning any bugs when in proximity with it. There were some bugs on top of the mountain behind it ( wrong spawn maybe ? ). It started spawning again, only when those bugs went all the way to the mine entrance, climbed down and came to attack me in front of their hive.

All that said, i really enjoyed playing your map and i hope you will provide us with more of them. :steamthumbsup:
