Hmm, that's a good idea, I'll do it in some free time!

ohhh right thank you, would maybe be helpful to add a tutorial or something to the description on how to use it, thank you though

Foxy, enter the advanced mode. Simple mode being greyed out is standard behaviour for some materials, including vanilla ones IIRC. That's because there are two separate colours you can change.

i dont know if im using this right but i cant seem to change the paint? its just greyed out?

Cosmolyth 24 Jan @ 7:55am
ok thank you very much, as i'd love to have the blacked out lights in beam

Daaang, did I somehow miss some variants/dependencies when fixing that? Unfortunately I won't have time to look into that in the next ~2 weeks, but I'll check it out after that, If I won't forget. Thanks for the info!

I dont know if im doing something wrong or not but its not working in beam ng, i set my led strip light to tinty pattern F2 for example, make the unlit varient full black and lit variant red, load into beam and they're coloured by default, any help?
Hshan  [author] 30 Aug, 2023 @ 11:27am
TBH I can't reproduce it on my end, unless you're talking about the colour grid in the basic paint mode - that, yes, is greyed out, but that's the intended, built-in game behaviour. To change the colour on any material with more than one you need to use the advanced paint mode, this is the case for Tinty, vanilla materials and AFAIK any other mod with such materials.

It won't let me change the color anymore. I had no issues until now. it was working fine a few days ago and now suddenly the color panel is grayed out. What's going on?
NoroUltra 21 Aug, 2023 @ 7:43am
ok
Hshan  [author] 21 Aug, 2023 @ 6:48am
Ok, so now it is fixed, and although it still looks "meh" in Beam it at least resembles the exported shade, not defaults to whatever ignoring your colour. And radials work too.
NoroUltra 18 Aug, 2023 @ 6:14am
it doesnt work in beamng is what i meant
Hshan  [author] 17 Aug, 2023 @ 1:13pm
WDYM "doesn't work"? It still does on my end... Also, good that someone reminded me of this, I'll fix the radial one and - hopefully - the Beam compatibility this weekend.
NoroUltra 16 Aug, 2023 @ 8:49am
doesnt work

YES!! I've been waiting so long for this! You're an absolute lifesaver!
Hshan  [author] 22 Mar, 2023 @ 4:54pm
Oops, right, it seems I forgot to change one thing :D
Stratos 22 Mar, 2023 @ 3:48pm
Hello, Just wanted to say that the radial texture doesn't have an option to change the color. But besides that amazing work! I'm gonna have a lot of fun with tinted headlights because of you!
aslowmototec 22 Mar, 2023 @ 1:19pm
FINALLY YES WOOOOO
Hshan  [author] 22 Mar, 2023 @ 12:23pm
Damn, there's no "reply" option in here? Anyway...

@General-Lee-God - I'm not sure what you mean, if you just want purely decorative police lights then yeah, you can just make some blue lights and assign some function (headlights, DRLs and so on) to them to light up in photos. But if you want added functionality then this adds none, just the colours (well you could say colour-changing lights is added functionality, at most). I don't think modding in new types of lights (those you can turn on separately) is even possible.

@Ejack69
1. I'm not planning on that, since there's the MD's clear glass material, so I see it as redundant, but if there'll be much demand I might do it, as it would be easy.
2. I'd like to, but so far I'm not sure how to even do that. Colours have easily available parameters in the light glass material structure, but I don't recall seeing one for opacity (maybe I'm just blind). I might have time to delve into that next week or the week after that, but no promises.
Ejack69 22 Mar, 2023 @ 10:45am
Amazing work man, this is really gonna help streamline the process of picking glasses for my cars!
I do have a couple questions regarding possible future updates;
1. Are you gonna add a normal clear glass variant?
2. Do you think that you could also implement an opacity setting?
Thanks!
Darkfox 22 Mar, 2023 @ 8:53am
cant wait for these to be exportable to beamng
〖JᴀɴHᴀʟᴇᴋ〗 22 Mar, 2023 @ 4:29am

Vie 22 Mar, 2023 @ 4:15am
Ah at last.

Now I can make proper Peugeots!
General-Lee-God 22 Mar, 2023 @ 1:06am
thx for that,
that thing as well as others like this too should be vanilla in the game.
can u make blue translucent materials can be used for function lights for police or such
Atomic 21 Mar, 2023 @ 5:22pm
I've needed something like this for a long time. Thanks for making this!
