But long term goals, obviously.
I have a question now, in the description "fatal consequences" are mentioned. It is certainly enticing and I'd love to give your mod a good try, but I'm afraid my democratically elected dictator is killed (I love roleplaying and she is supposed to be immortal). Is that a risk? If so, could you please make it an option so we can disable our rulers from participating in the schemes?
First big update! Added a new sport for Machines: Lightcycle Racing from Tron, with multiple ways to resolve the questline.
Also updated the timing on the Podracing events to be a little more lenient.
(and for everyone asking why it's called Intergalactic instead of Interstellar... it's because I like how it sounds and didn't think too hard about that)
Perhaps it's an organizational/advertising title, like MLB's World Series, or the Miss Universe Pageant?
Why thank you! I'm going to be even more of an obnoxious pedant then, and bring up the fact that it should be called "Interstellar Sports" or "Galactic Sports", as "Intergalactic" implies it would take place between multiple galaxies, while Stellaris only takes place in one galaxy. Although I will admit that "Intergalactic Sports" does have a nice ring to it nonetheless...
Also @Elowiny I appreciate the pedantry and will be taking this under advisement :)
@Gentleman-Velociraptors
Having the capability to organise yourself and play with a ball would generally be an indicator of sapience, though. Animals obviously play and spar, but actually turning this playfulness into organised sports as well as classifying it into categories and competitions most likely requires sapience and the ability to think about why and how you play (which animals do not do, they just play because they like it).
All the oxygen has run out
And someone who will not be named
Accidentally hit self-destruct
As you file to your escape pods
I'll distract the alien hordes
And as I stare death in the face I know my sins will take me to hell.
Damn, Stellaris give such opportunities to play and create a lore
Would it be possible to somehow introduce the Olympics on an intergalactic scale?
the description should state "What would sapient life be like without sports?", because sentience just means the ability to feel things (all animals) while sapience is specifically the ability to think and reason.
