RIP, turns out CA changed how they function in Update 5.0 but failed to remove the old script. Looks like this is not necessary anymore.

Currently haven't been on this for a little while (life things). Will really need to work out what TOD has done to the codes which I'm not sure will be a five minute job. Apologies for any delays.

@Stallion I guess the problem with weapons that they they are added by the same script that you modded. But your version doesn't have those commands, you can compare script text in the mod with the vanila one and you will see the difference.

Specifically this lines exist in vanila .lua and absent in the modded one:
cm:force_add_ancillary(gotrek_char, "wh2_pro08_anc_weapon_gotrek_axe", true, true)
cm:force_add_ancillary(felix_char, "wh2_pro08_anc_weapon_felix_sword", true, true)

All this mod does is change the amount of turns they stay with you. I have touched literally nothing else with it.

Has anyone had an issue with gotrek and felix spawning without their unique weapons when using this mod? And if so is there a way to get them back?

Hi buncer, this is a problem that isn't something that would be affected by my mod. All mine does is increase the amount of turns from 30 to 30000000 (or thereabouts). I haven't touched skill trees at all. Now, I'm casting my mind back and I think I had a similar problem a fair few months ago, but it was down to another mod that was messing around with the Gotrek and Felix tables, although I can't remember which one it was (I think it added in Elven skills for some reason which Gotrek would really hate). This was way before I made this mod though. I'll run another campaign to see if I can replicate your issue and see if I can find a way around it.

I added the mod and then recruited them for the first time on a current(not new) save. Gotrek has a skill list, but many of them are missing and sort of name or description, as well as he has a trait that is also missing a name or description. The trait issue is also present with Felix, no name or description present.

Good question pnutt and the mod was built with a fresh game in mind. However, what might be possible is after Gotrek disappears after 30 turns in your game, it *might* start working when you get the chance to rehire him later in the game.

I'll see if I can add a skill tree but it wont be a soon thing. Plus I'd want the Chorfs DLC released first so I don't have to worry about that messing with the tables I need to use.

I haven't touched anything else, just the number of turns they stay with you. I don't think vanilla do skill lines but if you have a mod that gives them skill lines It shouldn't be a problem working with this one.

Was it 30 million? Didn't realise I'd gone that high. Ah well, same effect really :steamhappy:

I haven't altered anything other than the number of turns so they shouldn't turn up for the VC's. I *think* that the "hero forever" mod makes them available for all factions but it does separate Gotrek and Felix into individual hero units. Question for that modder maybe? Good luck with it :steamthumbsup:

Tested this. Played a new dwarf campaign to turn 10 and gotrek and felix showed up, their turn timer is 30million instead of just 30.

Question does this effect factions that wouldn't get this legendary duo like the old Gotrek and Felix forever? Specifically wanted to have the duo working for Vlad von Carstein.
