Fabulous.

Reminds me more of the classic games where mechs were mechs and men were men who flew them.

Mod work fine, but ive had an issue where the thruster keep flaming even without fuel remaining, regen bar and thrust work fine, but visually the thruster sometime stays "on" for the whole mission which is unpleasant

@Oliverserker - They should be available everywhere. They are also introduced at various dates based on their weight class. Check the Data Sheet to see the dates if you haven't already.

Also, if you were only exploring in a small area, make sure that you venture at least 3 star systems away from the system you were on when you first installed the mod. This will add them to all future stores if they weren't there before.

If these things do not fix things, let me know. There has never been an issue with this before.

I've checked a lot of stores on different systems, but all i could find were regular jumpjets. where do i find or activate the other variants?

@Velious - It has worked with YAML since its inception. (It's noted in the description.)

@rayden_solo - The game should default to using the weakest of the two. Go ahead and try it out though: you may get different results!

what happens if I equip different types at the same time? like 2 regular JJ and 2 Loft

Awesome mod, this mod is so good for melee mechs, they desperately need a dash to close distance with the enemies

I always enjoyed MW-2's jump jets. When installed,say,on my 65 ton Hellbringer(modified the loadout),I found I could use them for any form of movement,including the 'skate'(like Gundamz)
Loved skating around corners or accelerating towards my targets.

@Lord Raso - I agree - if only I could.

As I said at the end of the mod's description; modding Jump Jets is very limited, which prevents me from doing that. If PGI were to allow Jump Jets to have more options to be modified like that, I would consider making a Jump Jet like that right away.

(It'd actually be *really* cool to have A.I. be able to understand how to use Jump Jets like that - although that could be really challenging to program. If it were to be done (somehow), though, encountering an A.I. with certain kinds of Jump Jets could be ~very~ scary. (...Which could be awesome.))

I could see side boosting options working for light mechs, maybe as a light mech only option (like how they worked in MWLL towards the end). Problem would be getting the AI to understand how to use them. As it is the AI already barely knows how to play the game, though, so maybe just something for the player to enjoy.

There are some more things that I would like to do with this (while keeping things relatively realistic), but we'll see where things go. Certainly not "Gundam"-like, but also not weak to the point of not worth equipping (in most scenarios).

Very cool! Towards the end of MWLL's life I recall they added some new classes of JJs that allowed for forward and side boosting.

I remember when the Victor first showed up in MWO people were complaining it was "too Gundam" with all the JJ usage. But this is exactly the sort of maneuvering I would expect from jump jets in "real" mech combat.
