I literally solved basically the entire chamber including the first move I just didn't realize how to do the first move. It's always the most obvious thing that I get stuck on

Done. Faved, and maybe even in my top 10. It took me at least an hour or two to spot that first move, but after I got it I was able to solve the rest in only around 20 minutes. It's so impressive how much respawning there is, and especially in such a simple layout. My absolute favourite thing about this puzzle is the fact that there's only 1 laser receiver for the laser and singular reflector cube, and of course how the light bridge adds so much complexity to all the shuffling going on. Insane map

Excellent puzzle definite :steamthumbsup: intended solution. The puzzle content of the map is brilliant and I’m amazed at how many moves you managed to squeeze out of a relatively simple set up. I did find the timing you mention in the description to be a bit tight, but no one else seems to, so that's probably just me.

ohh wow , very clever. from beginning i know final sequence but took me ages to figure out how. elegant and simple layout with clever idea. fav :p2cube::steamthumbsup:

I solved it as intended - once I realized that I could hold up the cube to block and unblock the laser, and that would give me useful results , it flowed quite smoothly. The design is very subtle, and at first I found everything quite baffling (there's a laser, but only one catcher; a light bridge, but only one place where it makes sense to travel with it) but it all came into place quite nicely. Thumbs up.

I also got killed, perhaps by the same thing asd417 did - I put the weighted cube on the light bridge near where it hits the wall, and used that to jump to the platform near the light bridge that is 1/2 block higher than it. Very easy to do, and not obviously illegal, but I died. I guess it's good to know that's unintended, though. I haven't actually solved the map yet, but just wanted to point that out.

But it wasn't a cube throw it was just a small jump to the light bridge

@asd417 It is not an easy fix; most challenging maps don't even prevent cube throws. But I did so almost as an easter egg for those who tried. No evil intentions.

I hope you still give it a shot regardless. I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you stick with it.

Everything about this map is awesome. The music is so cool I didn't want to play on x2 speed. And I like the design a lot. And of course big thumb and fav for insane reusability. Notes: godmode resets after reload so sure I did die unexpectedly 2 or 3 times. I would prefer just notifications, but it's only my opinion. And bonus points for players who found the funnel :D

@Teo thanks for playing, and the comment. There were some versions which forced a bit more careful portal management, but that introduced potential softlocks and I wasn't' pleased with the design. I felt this was the cleanest way to go, while keeping the moves I wanted to force. Glad you enjoyed it :D

Awesome map! Just the right level of toughness. It feels very easy to maneuver around the map, giving you the illusion that the puzzle is much more open than it actually is. Great work :D

Incredible puzzle! It took me long time to realize what I needed to do.(I think canonical helped a lot though they didn't have much correlation)The whole process was neat and elegant, I like this kind of process of pushing forward, and the whole process was full of joy. :) Big thumbs up!

Fantastic map that made me say "I swear to god if you find another way to reuse that lift" an unhealthy amount of times. I do agree that the contradicting usage of the half-portal surface is a crime, but given how intuitive it is to at least try placing a portal there, I think it's forgivable and doesn't ruin experiences in any way. Again, very nice work! :steamthumbsup:

@Narkodes I think you tackled every issue I had with the map. All of your concerns were considered at some point but fixing them proved to be more challenging than I anticipated. I'm still happy that you had fun with it regardless. :]

Great map! I enjoyed all the different subtle puzzle states and the use of the track platform. Minor complaints: I will not tire of telling everyone that narrow floor / ceiling surfaces without in-line rule are a crime. I advise to use a full tile, in best case with "tile/white_wall_tile004j" texture. I found the jump to the LB and generally the whole LB corner a bit "unclear". E.g. the question if it's okay to get in/out of the wall portal when there is no bridge there etc. The place where you put the cube towards the end to block the laser, I found a bit tight. I understood the two ON/OFF areas relatively quickly, but I would have liked the light design to be richer in contrast. Or even better - have you considered building it as a "zone" map? . Absolutely fantastic map! :p2cube:

@Dido guess it can only be shot at the top side but especially in the way it was intergrated looking like it could only be shot from front or back in the area without portal gun just confuses you :p

@klaus.sfc01 that's strange. It worked most of the times for me, plus there's only one area where that surface can even be seen with portal gun on. But I agree visibility over that surface isn't the best.

Ngl had to peek at the solution vid it was unclear that you could even shoot a portal on the laser surface because it was integrated in a way were it could only be shot at a sharp angle which did not work for the first 30ish times i tried :p

Babe wake up new DiDo map. Great puzzle. I had the ending sequence worked out but couldn't see how to get the laser cube to the faith plate target for the longest time. The sequence to achieve that milestone was beautiful. Also why is the EQ in your solution video so bass heavy lol. Goes hard.

It probably won't come as a surprise that I'm a fan of this particular mechanic. Very nice map, and I quite enjoyed seeing how the inclusion of surfaces which are only shootable from afar. was explored!

great puzzle! It's the first map that I play with this portal ON/OFF mechanic. Love the progress with the laser cube. Took quite some time to realise I need both cubes at the platform button. The laser block with the cube is the icing on the cake . Very nice solution and reuse of elements.
