I was working on a much bigger project then this one with a lot more detail. And yes it would have gotten a lot more features over all including some form of story. But so far even after that long work I didn't really get too far. So much still to do, including figuring out how the hell I can get followers and other npc's to walk around on there without some bug coming up or failing to even arrive on there.

And yes, nav mesh is a hell and I seriously hate that part. But I fear it isn't that part that fails. I had similar issues with my other mods where followers refused to get even near the edited areas not even starting to get inside the buildings all together. Bethesda changed things from previous games which causes the problems, as I didn't have those before.

@Mechwarrior94:

Why? You may have incorporated some good ideas!
Mechwarrior94 28. mar. 2019 kl. 11:16
OH FFS, I been working on the same thing for 2 years now and I didn't know there was already a mod like this. Wasted time then
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2018 kl. 15:21
You should probably be a bit closer to the island as it has no LOD.
Niviryd 10. okt. 2018 kl. 23:01
for some reason the island doesnt appear to be in the world when I head to its location
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 29. sep. 2018 kl. 16:25
Thanks!
Sam Suphit 29. sep. 2018 kl. 13:48
very awesome my friend!
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2018 kl. 0:41
Thanks. Already working on the next episode, but no idea when it will be finished.
whaledriver 25. mar. 2018 kl. 17:32
UM Bri El. Has a nice ring to it. This would make an incredible Huge DLC. My friend has this mod. Could hardly wait to get back home to download. Nice job...Kudos!

any mannequins
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 5. feb. 2016 kl. 16:14
I've already managed to order my copies of Greg Keyes' books. I hope to get some or a lot of ideas from the books. I'm not native English, so it will probably take some time.
Ash 4. feb. 2016 kl. 3:38
I just love the idea of these island habitats / fortresses / dungeons in the sky, it could make for an awesome game ... far off from the skyrim below ... cut off from civilization ... perhaps even make your own player city some place ...
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 4. feb. 2016 kl. 1:33
I will look into it. I would like to do some more with this, so any suggestion is welcome. Still haven't been able to read Greg's books.
Ash 3. feb. 2016 kl. 3:31
I just came across your island in the sky while flying around on my airship; I forgot all about it being up there!
It'd be awesome to have more islands about, perhaps a dungeon floating around some where up in the sky over the ocean or the such?
I had a dragon fly up and land on my house and look at me in judgement just a moment ago.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2016 kl. 14:06
@Ash: Yes, I would! This Umbriel thing is quite interesting and I would like to dig deeper into it, but first I would like to read the books of Greg Keys. His books are the key to creating a mod in which to put Umbriel into the next era.
Ash 11. jan. 2016 kl. 13:27
Would you be able to do a version useing Dawnguard / Dragonborn / Hearthfire elements?
Timmy the Dragonborn 11. jan. 2016 kl. 11:48
@Altbert. I am currently reading the first book, it is fantastic, it is about the prince of the first emperor of mede dynasty trying to save temriel from the floating island. And thank you very much for this mod, at least we got a concept of the floating island of Umbriel.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2016 kl. 11:42
@Golin: Not at the moment, but I could. First I will have to read Greg Keys' books on Umbriel, but I haven't been able to aquire these books yet! Still, it would be quite interesting to create a DLC-sized mod on Umbriel, but I think I'll need some more experience, in particular on quest making.
Timmy the Dragonborn 10. jan. 2016 kl. 23:53
Author will you plan to do a whole DLC size Umbriel? Like designing the lore letting the players travel back to the start of 4th era, you can accompany with Annaig and Mere-Gelim to explore Umbriel.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 20. nov. 2015 kl. 12:53
I'll see what I can do. I have some ideas, but nothing solid yet!
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 14. okt. 2015 kl. 11:31
As described in the desciption above: on the table in the library (in the house on the island, downstairs).
Ghost4Real 14. okt. 2015 kl. 10:20
where do i find the book to start the quest Treasure of Attrebus mede?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2015 kl. 13:32
Yes, forgot about the Nocturnal shrine! Blessing (activators!) would be no problem, but I'm really helpless when having to use Blender, NifSkope and the like. I've been experimenting a little, but no luck!
Victoryguard 18. aug. 2015 kl. 7:07
I was also counting the shrine of Nocturnal in the Cistern for blessings as the fourth, if it helps perhaps the blessing on Malacath could be fortify two handed in the same way that the blessing of Boethiah fortifies one handed; Hircine could be fortify archery, Meridia strikes me as increased damage to undead similiar to a silver weapon, and with Dagon and Molag Bal fortiy Destruction and Fortify Conjuration. As far as images, UESP has some good ones for inspiration. I admit to not being very skilled with the CK or I'd have tried the effort myself.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2015 kl. 3:54
Not quite correct, I think! The ancestral tomb of the temple in Raven Rock has three shrines: Azura, Boethia and Mephala. There are two more: Molag Bal in Volkihar Cathedral (Dawnguard) and Vaermina in Nightcaller Temple near Dawnstar. As far as I know you will only receive blessings from the DB shrines.

Nice idea though, but 16/17 shrines would have to be created: Azura, Boethiah, Clavicus Vile, Hermaeus Mora, Hircine, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon, Mephala, Meridia, Molag Bal, Namira, Nocturnal, Peryite, Sanguine, Sheogorath/Jyggalag and Vaermina. Could perhaps fit in as Attrebus and Sul use the realms of the Daedric Princes as shortcuts. I will look into it, but can't promise any fast results.
Victoryguard 17. aug. 2015 kl. 14:40
It would be cool to have shrines for all the Daedric princes instead of just the four you can receive blessings from with Dragonborn installed.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 17. aug. 2015 kl. 6:49
Parts of Umbriel! The story is in Ysmir's journal, which starts the quest to find the treasure of Prince Attrebus Mede. All is very loosely based on the books of Greg Keys.
HetosCZ 17. aug. 2015 kl. 0:32
Umbriel? Is that you?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2015 kl. 1:01
Yes! It's quite some heigth and it most certainly means death.
SeekerofHole 10. aug. 2015 kl. 20:59
can you fall off?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2015 kl. 11:14
@zarix27: I found the problem. The modder of KH has simply renamed a large non-respawning chest to "KeybladeChest" with name "Kingdom Heart Chest" instead of creating a new chest (as duplicate). As a result all chests of this type in the game will be renamed as KeybladeChest, that is not only in my mod, but in all other mods and the vanilla game, as long as those mods a higher in load order than the KH mod. A solution may be to put my mod lower in load order, but that will not solve all problems! I will inform the KH modder (TheUltimateGamer) of this problem.
Zairix VII 25. maj 2015 kl. 10:34
I have Kingdom Hearts V4 installed. I had v2, then updated to see if it changed. Still no luck. All the chests in the basement are named KH. Thanks for the quick reply, and hope this helps.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 19. maj 2015 kl. 13:32
You have one or more KH mods installed. Can you tell me which? I could then check it out and put a warning in my mod description, or maybe provide a patch.
Zairix VII 19. maj 2015 kl. 1:06
All my chests have kingdom hearts stuff in it, overwriting what I had stored. Has anyone else had problems with the basement chests?
A Bloody Spy! 22. apr. 2015 kl. 20:14
ah good no one else said this:
looks like Angel Island from Sonic The Hedgehog
Bones 18. mar. 2015 kl. 22:50
What that guy below me said. :P
glenskip 5. mar. 2015 kl. 11:42
When you get up enough experience this mod would be brilliant in conjunction with the mutiple adoption mod as in would need 6 childs beds and navmeshing for them and your spouse :D good work though
Raigan 14. feb. 2015 kl. 3:18
Ah I see :)
Well best of luck with your project then ^^
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 13. feb. 2015 kl. 8:51
That's where I got the idea from. I even put in a small quest: The Treasure of Prince Attrebus Mede. He's one of the characters in the books of Greg Keys. I am also working on a new quest for this mod and an additional mod that brings a larger part of Umbriel to Skyrim with sort of a plane of Oblivion (realm of Mehrunes Dagon, with lots of his Dremora). But that may tike some while to finish.
Raigan 13. feb. 2015 kl. 3:26
Looks nice :)
Reminds me a little of the floating island of Umbriel from the elderscrolls books
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 3. jan. 2015 kl. 16:11
I have to say I fast travelled to the island and dismissed Lydia right away when I discovered she was standing next to me. I don't know what will happen if a follower would stay. Although, I have been experimenting with NPCs on the island and they will travel all along the island and even in my house (they're packaged for cleaning the place).
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 3. jan. 2015 kl. 16:07
The islands are nearly completely navmeshed with some minor flows. I once had Lydia, my housecarl, up on the islands, so I think it's possible to have any follower join you on the islands.
Marzipanini 3. jan. 2015 kl. 14:50
I will keep an eye on this, it seems really cool! It would be perfect if it worked to have followers join you on the islands. Keep up the good work!
TheGreatHumongus 17. dec. 2014 kl. 6:33
ok, well I guess if they can't be used it dosent matter then.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2014 kl. 7:22
@Kobra Kommander: I just changed the artifacts from moveable to static a few weeks ago, because they kept falling down. Also, they will be of no use to you, because you can't sell them and you can't use them in your quests! For most of these artifacts you have to have completed quests partially or completely.
TheGreatHumongus 10. dec. 2014 kl. 14:24
Hey Altbert,
Any way you can set the artifacts in the basement to be picked up? If so that would be great thanks.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 9. dec. 2014 kl. 12:15
Thanks! I am looking into a new version, maybe with something like the Dawnguard Castle or the Inner Sanctum, but I am not sure yet. Also it may take a while.
TheGreatHumongus 8. dec. 2014 kl. 9:52
Love the idea behind this mod. Only thing I would have done differently would have been to make the home something more epic themed than a regular house, like maybe a small keep or dwemer type building of some sort. Other than that its a cool as hell mod!
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 27. nov. 2014 kl. 6:50
No, I have made it a "static" item, like the claws, amulets, etc. If you could, it would be of no use to you, because you need a quest. You have to receive, find or steal the item in order to progress in the quest.
Rob_Perlman 25. nov. 2014 kl. 19:46
I want to grab that elder scroll but it wont let me
