This way you can use it to monitor defenders etc. during purges and see if they're downed or dying.
When you leave your base you will only have your followers with you, so it will only show those as it's proximity based...
Feel free to come back and let us know when your game continues to crash without this mod though! Cheers!
I will look and test again if Conan becomes a Update/Patch and hope ;)
The vanilla game has a bug since Age of Heroes where you have a chance to crash while going to your base.. (or leaving from it) because the new crafter thralls are sometimes out of range for you, but not for the stations trying to use it so it selects them and crashes your game since they don't exist for you yet. It's most likely what you had.. and not related to this mod.
I was running to my base with some Thralls following me (+5 ThrallMod) some Mins after gamestart.
But otherwise, I'm pretty sure something else is crashing your game and not this mod.
An alternative thought would be to have the health bars appear only when the player is in combat, but i don't know how easy the game makes that register. Hiding actors at full health seemed a straightforward way to minimize the UI impact without jeopardizing functionality.
I appreciate the consideration and the mod.
The idea behind this mod was that you just ignore it.. it's there.. you never have to set anything, click anything.. it's always automatically doing its thing.
Regardless of the reasoning though, the idea itself is not bad as a feature, so I might consider it in a future update, no promises.
Reading through the comments, I see someone mentioned a variation and you explained why not (3 July 2023).
A suggestion/request: add a hotkey (with option the player can make own choice) that enables/disables the menu without having to go through the console. Put the selection on the current settings menu. When in base, the cat's heath, and others of no interest, showed in the list while wandering around with followers. A toggle would facilitate turning off the health bars when in base and turning them on when leaving. Although being mostly controller players, items that are/are nearly "set and forget" are fine if mkb only - this is close enough so only mkb would be fine without controller support.
My perspective? I am allowed to ask, you are allowed to say no. Thank you for considering a task that probably does not benefit you.
Note: I cannot get on Discord so I post here.
My mods don't need updates, they all work with AoW Chapter 2.
As far as leveling thralls and micromanaging their eating habits.. that's a bit of a personal preference. Some people like to do that, while others don't bother at all, since it's still going to be RNG and you can fail to get skill points even if you have an increased chance from a food buff.
Personally I only bother with that during the very first few levels since leveling is quite fast then :)
Anyway, that's obviously outside of the scope of this particular mod.
// Two trails and a horse that needs to be fed with the right food.
You just need to view all the characteristics of the satellites every time you receive a lvl-up satellite message:
- who got the progress?
- who ate the right food?
- who have the correct percentages of pumping-buff characteristics?
It's immaterial, it's just a matter of convenience. Is it worth focusing on this?
I did not see a problem or a need to further bloat the mod :) and the idea is to have something completely automatic that you don't need to mess with every time you want to head out from your base.
Sorry for my ignorance that I not read below comments...
Have a nice day and again - thanks for your work!
If you read the comments below you'll see that someone already suggested it and I explained that there's literally no benefit to a setting like that..
Once you leave your base to go somewhere, it will only show your followers anyway, since they're the only ones around.. and it's not like you're gonna have followers inside your base..
But the mod can still be useful in your base when defending a purge for example and not every thrall can follow you around you. However if you have a lot of thralls and the screen clutter bothers you, you can just reduce the number of them displayed or the range so it picks the ones closer.
It's any chance to add option, that party only showing the followers, instead of all in range?
Thanks!
I also wonder why devs ignored the armor stats stuff in the benches, but hey you solved it! I think these mods are almost essential to my gameplay now. Again thank you!
I'll tell you tomorrow after the daily reboot. Or if someone disconnect and wants to reconnect.
Apologies for the inconvenience!
However you're not required to do that at all... you can just choose not to be bothered by it since it's not causing any issues.
Alternatively you can also uninstall the mod if you don't like it :)
