Sleep/Eat/Relax Priorities

after playing with it a while i think i am still missing the ability to set the behaviour that a survivor should wait a long time until his relaxation is quite low (like even below 10%), but if he then starts to relax he is supposed to do things until reaching around 90-100%. this would maximize efficiency in not runnning back and forth and also prepare for longer walks on the map

@Mnementh I removed them out my activity planner, not really want to mess more with some vanilla settings, today found out a new bug of the tool that make all my traits codes disappear if i say add new trait and call up one of the vanilla copies, so i got to do that now on a test mod and type my own code so my other traits don't lose their code.

Low priority shouldn't make them starve to death. The priority system works until satisfaction drops below 10%. Then, emergency command to eat or sleep is triggered, which doesn't care of priorities.

@Mnementh isn't that risking they no longer go eat if set it to less priority, like when someone in schedule set for a tab no eating, no relax or sleep during a certain set of tasks, i know someone who made a schedule where he done that and they effective don't go eat till they starve to dead and collapse from sleep deprivation and constant breakdown for no relaxation.

@Waterdragon77, yes, you are correct. I removed this logic in the mod, so that the priority number no more changes based on satisfaction thresholds.

@Mnementh I use the Eat, Sleep, Relax to in my planner, but after extensive testing the problem doesn't lay with the activity priority planner mods. Here is what my conclusion is after checking the changing variables on eat, sleep, relax priority, each survivor has three thresholds hardcoded on them threshold 1 they don't need eat so priority 3, Threshold 2 they can be send to eat so it change to priority 2, threshold 3 they need urgent food so it jump the priority 1, this counts for the other 2 too, so no matter you set the priority, the game will adjust them for each survivor to what their threshold is.

Sorry, I apparently disabled receiving notifications somehow from this thread.

I have updated the activity definitions, so the numbers should no more change during the game. (Something in the game changed in the 1.0 version that I were not aware of.)

The issues with people not going to expeditions doesn't make sense to me and I can't reproduce it. I have moved Handle before Eat, Relax and Sleep, as this is the only inconsistency with the vanilla game, other than the option to change priority, which should in no way affect people going to expeditions.

I think the expedition mechanic needs to set the sleep, eat and relax priority. I've seen survivors nap, grab a meal and go after telling them to go on an expedition. One time, he even threw darts for a bit.I think with this mod activated, since it cannot set the needs as it needs to, it prevents the expedition from even starting.

I've had 5 day expeditions time out because of this mod. Cool concept, but it doesn't play nice with expeditions. I think having all needs fufilled, and an unknown variable allows you to go on expeditions. Don't know what that other variable is, though.

Without the mod? 23h? I'd rather sleep, but orders... later!

I love this mod... Only lately I keep seeing my settings being changed on me. Example, I set Heal, Eat, Sleep, Relax to 1 on everyone - all but one will change to 2 or 3. I want them all set to 1 because those 4 are the most important... eat when hungry, sleep, and relax so they don't stress out.

Just got a tip about this mod. Is it currently causing the problems mentioned below, please?

Same here. When MOD is activated, it won't allow expeditions EXCEPT for random, unexplained intervals during the day. Also, the sleep icons do not show up under portraits when survivors sleep.

unsure if i missed something, but I'm not able to accept expeditions with this mod enabled, had 2 other mods active, disabling this mod fixed the problem.

That's a very complete answer, and with very valuable information. Thank you ! :)

Hi @Elgar!

I'm glad you like the idea. I was testing various mod support features today and told myself, 'Well, since I am making mods, I may as well publish them' :)

On your question:

The survivors can work for approximately two days before fainting due to a lack of rest. However, they require at least one sleep session per day to feel well. They lose around 50% of their Rest daily and start seeking sleep when their Rest falls below 50%.

Fully-relaxed survivors can last without relaxation for around three days before becoming overwhelmingly unhappy, but they need to relax one to two times a day to feel perfectly okay. They begin searching for relaxation when their Relaxation falls below 80%.

To feel good, the survivors need two meals per day and start looking to satisfy their hunger at 50% fullness. They loose 50% fullness every 12 hours and at 0% become starving.

A mod made by a dev, very interesting, thank you !

There is the schedule, then the fact that tasks with priorities 1 and 2 take precedence over the schedule (except when eat/relax/sleep is critically low), and now with your mod that's a third way to control very precisely the schedule...

But I have a question : when will the survivor will decide to do the eat/relax/sleep task again ? For example, in your screenshot Katina Yul has the Eat task set to priority 1. She eats to fill her hunger bar. Then she does other tasks. When will she decide to eat again ? At which value of her hunger bar ? Same question for Relax and Sleep tasks.
