This mod is fairly minor as it was first just a way to make the regular state troops look better and more gritty like WH1. But Warhammer 1 Texture Update Project is a much bigger project and in most cases does supersed this mod when it comes to all the other units.
But my mod also upscales the textures to double the resolution size for a bit more crisper look for units that had really low resolution textures in the base game or in WH1.
For instance, the normal state troop unit texture are upscaled to a resolution of 2048x1024 while vanilla and the project mod still have them at 1024x512 resolution.
I have also done this for all the RoR units. This mod is also compatible with my details matter mod that adds more hair color variety to units.
If so, it looks like it is a missing effect overlay, as it seems to be missing the glow effects. This might be fixable as some of those type of shaders still work. I may look into it on my visual bug fix mod when the next major patch comes out.
I decided to do it this way so this would be more compatible with other mods.
And yes, this is bascially a reskin mod as any other, so as of right now it is not compatible with other reskins like Hooveric. I want to make a compatability patch for Hooveric at some point when I get the time.
That being said, anyone is free to use my assets to make their own mods or compatability mods if they want to.
Of course it's not a big issue if running e.g. the Collection and True Grit at the same time brings the same result anyway and doesn't cause problems :) Do I get this right that it'll be generally incompatible with other reskins, such as Hooveric or ZC? Sorry in case I sound like a tool.
I have been working a bit on a Greenskin mod too, with focus on the Black Orcs as they just look terrible imo.
Do you think you will ever do the same for other races? I agree the Empire was the worst one but others like Bretonnia and DE could do with some love imo
If I ever add other details outside of just enhancing textures, such as additions of heraldry, then that will be added to the Details Matter mods and not this one.
