@GG棒 Thanks! I will not delete English defaults, unless the translation is integrated in my mod directly. A translation mod should be able to override my defaults if done correctly and placed after in the load order.

@pharaox Ah, I understand. Personally, I would've preferred having it placed next to the other clickables to the left of the screen, and if the button looked slightly more similar to the vanilla HUD buttons.

@bamboocarpet Where do you want to put it? To avoid conflicts with other mods, it must be a custom widget somewhere on the HUD, since it's the only place I can add stuff instead of changing. I tried to pick a bottom location that does not overlap with anything important, and is unlikely to overlap with stuff introduced by other mods. This limits my options quite heavily, so I actually don't think it's easily movable.

@cory.hester I just published a new version, the ranges are increased now. As a King of France living in Paris, your range reaches as far as York, Genoa, or Munich. It's still less than it was before I decreased it, this is intentional.

@cory.hester Arles is much to the south of France, in Provence. By "Burgundy" I mean the historical ("de jure") duchy. Anyway, it seems the range for kings is indeed smaller than I intended. Will increase it in the new version I am planning for the weekend, but not dramatically. Thanks for your feedback!

Hmm interesting I swear I am currently not traveling at my capital in Arles and it is saying that the King of England (also not traveling ) is too far to interact with. Same for a few other characters REALLY close by. Any suggestions?

@cory.hester Yes, it was reduced, but not by that much. If your capital is in Burgundy and you are a King, you should still be able to trade with France, Germany, Northern Italy, Southern England, etc.
Note that while you are traveling, your range is much smaller, and centered on your character, rather than your capital.

Hey there - I notice the notes said the artifact trading range was reduced. It seems like my game this was pretty significant. For example, I am currently the King of Burgundy and it says the Holy Roman emperor is out of my trading range? Was that intentional?

@hdtomo Filtering or sorting by how good these modifiers are can't be done in a mod. Even the current filtering by modifier is only possible because I am maintaining a mapping between modifiers and their effects, which only works for vanilla modifiers and is a real pain to maintain.

As for "looking for specific artifacts" - if you mean search by name, this unfortunately also can't be done in a mod, it's simply not supported for anything in the game, not just artifacts. All searching by name you see in the game is hardcoded and not moddable.

Offering more money could be done in theory, but would considerably complicate both the UI and the acceptance logic. I considered it at one point but gave it up.

@pharaox you can search by modifiers, that's about it. You can't filter by how good those modifiers are or look for specific artifacts.

Also, it'd be nice if you could offer more money to increase the chance of acceptance.

@Tak In what way exactly is it conflicting? If you mean that the slots are not shown in the UI, please read the "Compatibility" section in the description above. You can just load the mod before slot-adding mods and use the buttons in the "Artifact Finder" to buy and sell. You won't be able to sort or filter by the new slots, but everything else should work.

Hey; out of curiosity, how difficult would it be to add an "OR" system to a search mod? I really think accolades need to have its own search, with adding multiple ORs and ANDs (e.g. I need a heavy infantry and archer accolade, so I'm looking for a character that has either strong, athletic, hale, robust, or herculean trait, and the forest fighter trait).

So feature request, is another filter on the dynasty of the owner of the artifact for the artifact finder possible?
I want to search for artifacts that doesn't belong to my dynasty yet.

@5thYL Sorry, it was a typo. I meant, "you can't buy all artifacts owned by characters", since you referred to the "buy artifact button" in your previous message.
When you use "Buy Artifact", you only see artifacts you can actually buy, which is a subset of all artifacts (and usually a rather small one). To see all artifacts in the game, you should use the "Artifact Finder" and make sure all filters are set to "All".

What I meant was, the number of people holding artifacts should always be lesser than the total number of artifacts, due to the one to many relationship.
But when I filter within diplo range, there's more characters holding artifacts - 1487
than the number of artifacts the mod can find - 812
So the mod is definitely missing artifacts when filtering for them.

@Tyronis2054 See the compatibility notes, a compatch scope for any total conversion would be mostly limited to searching improvements. AI won't sell or destroy illustrious unique artifacts unless they are "aniconist" (which is a vanilla thing).

How does this mod work with the Lord of the Rings mod? I understand you can load it before the main mod to get it to work, but will like Gandriel sell her Elven Ring for example? Not sure if anyone has considered making a compatch for Lord of the Rings since it's just as popular as the GoT mod too .

@their No, I won't be able to do this. The mod is already mostly with total conversion mods, see the "Compatibility" section in the description. One thing that won't work perfectly is searching by modifier, see my reply to the previous question. Everything else should mostly work as expected.

@Oxbridge Due to modding limitations, I am only able to check artifacts for having artifact modifiers, not for their actual effects. Therefore, I maintain a mapping of modifiers to effects for the search that only includes vanilla modifiers, since these are the only ones that are always there.
Any modifiers added by mods will not be taken into account. This includes old vanilla modifiers that have been removed. I am sorry, but there is no way I can overcome these limitations.

Hi there, I use a mod that restores the domain limit effect on artifacts that PDX removed in the latest update, but the search function in this mod is still only able to find the Crown of Justinian as the only option when I know that other artifacts in the game have the domain limit effect. What are your thoughts on this?
