IMO his moves are too fast and too safe I think he needs to get like -2 frames to start on all P K S and probably tone down his damage a bit

mind if i make an edit of this? i rly appreciate the work you put in but there are a lot of things that drive me insane about it, and i have some ideas to flesh him out more while streamlining the moveset

He can literally just spam the same move and it's a true combo that puts you in negative frames even if you burst.

also give him the strive version of rensen I think, would make much more sense in his moveset and give him some much needed range

also please reduce the amount of meter that supers cost, he doesn't build it nearly fast enough to ever get to 3 bars without having to spend meter on something else and that's a shame because timestop is a yomi-ass mechanic and I want to be able to abuse it haha

all this assuming you're actually trying to make him good, which you might not care about. overall I still love this mod because it's my goofy British boy but with some tweaks he could actually fit fairly well

hitboxes way too small and precise for a game like yomi, would recommend replacing some of his normals with single moves that can be custom angled (replace c.P and c.S with one sickle throw that can be angled anywhere from straight to the upward angle of c.S, etc)

it's a cool touch that the gatling system is kind of alive but also kills his viability in a game like yomi, I get the reference but if you're trying to make a decent character as well as a reference I would say do away with this

last comment lol but I take back what I said about Axl Bomber's damage, maybe just minimum damage but it's a neat move

also some the multihit supers should probably have their di/knockback adjusted so they connect better but other than that this char is really strong, cool

Honestly I don't get the complaints, solid char. His range is fine considering how many angles he can cover and he has pretty good frame data, solid neutral. Only things I'd say *need* changing are Axl Bomber dealing some damage, maybe Winter Mantis being a grab but I mean the character isn't bad at all. But I dunno maybe that's just me. Good stuff. :renburn:

This is true what birdman said. One Vision just seems to give you a little bit of breathing room, like a map-wide, but since it technically counts as a hit, one vision:

Can be blocked (which is normal for strive)
Is blocked by super armour (this is a weird one, since overdrives of any kind go through super armour in guilty gear, including one vision)
The enemy can burst out of one vision (In strive, opponents can do the burst input, but it'll only occur after one vision has ended)
Additionally, one vision seems to end after a single hit, making it once again more of a "get out of jail free" card than a combo tool.

I only played a couple of matches so I couldn't see anything else, but thanks birdman for reminding me of One Vision

adding onto what widget said for things noticed, time stop seems to be vaguely buggy? idk really how to explain it, but certain moves just power through it, dont know if it's intentional or not

I have a couple bones to pick with this mod, minor ones, but important to his playstyle nonetheless.

First off, his abysmal range, especially for a game like Yomi. Axl is by all accounts and purposes a zoner, so his attacks definitely need the range they deserve. I saw you were changing the sprites for his range, which is good, but don't change the idle pose. Keep it. I love it.

Second of all: Axl Bomber costs meter, sure it's one bar but it's still a bar too much, maybe it's a balancing choice you made, but this is Yomi. Also, Rensengeki should have the Winter Cherry, Soaring Chain Strike and Spinning Chain Strike that he has in his official moveset.

Thirdly: And this is the biggest disappointment I've ever had in my life... Winter Mantis isn't a command grab. I was playing with a friend and I thought I got them, and they straight up just blocked it...

That's all, Thanks. I love the Axl mod but there were some infuriating drawbacks. Hope this helps :steamthumbsup:
