She has so much range wtf! Too fun! I never played Sephiroth in Ult, so I'm finding her a whole lotta fun here. Great job — she's among my most liked for sure!

If I may, a few nitpicks though:

*The effects on the latter half of F-Air's active frames make the move look as though it reaches farther than it actually does. Its hitboxes are fine, but it'd be cool if the effect were pulled a little back so it wouldn't confuse as much
*The char_height arrow is too close to her head! This is pretty evident if you compare hers with Olympia's for example. Maybe if it were pulled some 6-ish pixels upwards?
*If I mark someone with Side-B and then try to F-Smash them, sometimes absolutely nothing happens. It's as though I jabbed them or something. Is that intentional? I feel like it's supposed to be doing something else.

...See, these are legit nitpicks. The fact this is the best criticism I can give just shows how well y'all did on her. Impressive!

As a Sephiroth main in Smash, this character is wonderful.

This character is really good but it needs heavy nerfs. For one her fair is spammy and it can rack you up to incredibly high percents without giving you the ability to DI until your at like 40-50 percent. For two her recovery is beyond broken. It's not a bad recovery it just kills way too early and it has no drawbacks. I get you were trying to base it off sephoroth's or something but it's way too busted. For instance many times I tried to DI at the top of the screen to an Anthem but they would just rotate the upspecial to my direction giving me absolutely no time or way to avoid it. For 3 for heavens sake nerf that kill power. Lastly why was a counter needed... This character is really good and she has a lot of great combos and moves but they just need to be nerfed in some way.

I think Anthem's f-special's initial laser needs a base range increase for the uncharged version (at least the same distance as f-tilt) and more hitsun for both versions; currently it's minus on hit and i've gotten punished right after landing it multiple times. The move is just overall weaker than the smash counterpart; it does only 10% at max orbs (Seph's does like 40%), can be completely negated by getting hit before the explosion (Seph's orbs makes you deal with the pressure where parrying/blocking or reflecting is the only out), and it doesn't even serve as a kill move since the knockback isn't high; the added instant explosion during Anthem's Impulse doesn't offset the cons since orbs are weak to begin with and impulse with orbs and sweetspot is too situational to perform all three conditions reliably in a match to be worth it.

That's makes sense. Sorry if I sounded a bit like a smart-ass.
Most of the time when I see characters based off characters from another fighting game, the character is a unique spin on the archetype that character fills. There's tons of Fox/Falco clones on the Workshop, but they each have something that still makes them unique.
It was just odd that their moveset is 1 to 1 Sephiroth, but they're an OC instead. Not bad, just a bit unusual.

If you want a real answer, there are Workshop Major tournaments in events like Riptide and Genesis where workshop characters are allowed to be played on a stream and everything. The only thing is the characters have to be original or if it belongs to another IP, needs to have permission. Some of my characters have been in these tournaments but because there isn't a Sephiroth like on workshop, I decided to make one that can be used in these majors. Obviously I can't freely use Sephiroth so I made something that plays like Sephiroth but looks different.

Sorry if I came of harsh, it was a first reaction.

Can you make the d-special properly visually convey when the counter is actually active? It feels like it's only active for like 2 frames instead of while the portal is visually on screen like how Seph's scintilla counter works; extremely strict timing for Anthem's, at least make her flash with an outline for the duration the counter is active or something; looking at in training mode doesn't even help.

up-tilt doesn't drag the foe into the sweetspot at the top when they are hit by the grounded hitbox.

A lot of recovery on n-air, too much to even combo into itself or f-air like smash Sephiroth can do (from either the same jump or immediately double jumping to n-air again). Not crazy about the direct translation of the one wing angel gimmick, everything is the same aside from lacking an extra jump and Anthem's sweetspots activating f-special (cool). Her being so light makes getting killed before impulse activates or the launching hit activating it is very seph like, but he can keep stocks longer with better recovery; The sweet spots on b-air and up-air too much overlap with the sourspots, making it way more inconsistent to hit, unlike f-tilt.

I suppose it's not a big leap to believe the guy who can code and animate a sprite can also do a regular animation promo vid, but it's still impressive; figured you'd have someone else do it like other character debuts.

but to be honest, it is kinda cool to have a sephiroth gameplay looking like in RoA.
i guess i'm a little upset because i don't remember OG Anthem having a moveset similar to sephiroth (but i don't trust my memory at 100%)

also, you're telling me that the down air doesn't spike?
