Something that could be done to prevent much territory from exchanging hands before a certain time is add modifiers to each region/province you want affected that increases its warscore cost in war

I also stopped Australia natives from fighting and reduce European colonization by adding region = australia_region to the relevant code. Works great!

The whole "one or two nations would go ham" explanation for disabling war for African nations entirely is interesting. I don't think i've ever seen that happen in my games. I wonder if there's a middle ground that can be taken on that where African war is still possible but not much territory will change hands and/or the threshold is very high for the AI to declare war.

Could you make a similar mod for Oceania? It annoys me to see Spain colonize Australia in 1610

It doesn't, but the original goal was to make it harder for Spain/AI to wipe out native cultures there. Original malus was -100%, I reduced it to -5% so players could still do it if so inclined.

How does preventing conversion of the Maghreb Region stop spain/portugal invading it?

nice, actual life saver

Yes, Maghreb is north Africa, no issues there.

hey I am not sure - If I was for example ottomans, and wanted to take maghreb, could I do it?

@5UP4H: Sorry for not responding earlier. No, this mod doesn't do anything other than what it says in the description.

Does the mod allow the creation of colonies like in the Americas and Australia ?
