okay so I tried to move this over to B42, but it seems like the procedural generation that they are doing messes with the map I made. I will maybe check back on this later, but for now, I have decided that it's not worth doing until at least B42 out of unstable. Sorry folks :er_sad:

IIRC, I thought the island is surrounded by water...? I remember thinking about adding a lake too, but it was a waste of space, considering that the island is surrounded by water. I could be wrong

Would love this for B42. Though maybe an alternative easy mode version with a little pond? Or even a small island in the middle of an ocean would be kinda neat. :jake::steamthumbsup:

a list of teleports when you leave your island sandbox option would also be really cool for extraction enthusiast.

can i suggest a setting that creates a time limit before airborne infection sickness sets in? sort of like a storm effect. climbing sickness after the allotted time that when hits 100% you turn?

That's interesting. I haven't put too much thoughts into implementing this mod, but I think it might be a great addition to it. I'll have to see if it's possible first.

This leads me to a suggestion - a "Heavy Extraction" that [only] works while in a vehicle, which schedules 3 helicopter events over the next several minutes - two are "scouting" for the LZ (read: attracting zombies) and the third is the actual extraction, that takes you and your vehicle to Sanctuary.

(I just want to use Skizot's vehicles with their extra fancy features, lol)

So i've run into an amusing bug with this; while exploring a personal curiosity about seeing if I could extract while in a vehicle, because I wanted to try using Skizot's mower on Sanctuary if at all possible, and it seems [partially] possible to some extent - I was able to successfully "extract", and could briefly see myself and my vehicle in the middle of sanctuary, but alas it immediately made me exit the sanctuary... whereupon it duplicated my vehicle and balanced me on top of it. I can't get out of the vehicle at all, though I could accelerate, decelerate, and reverse to wriggle a bit and then get stuck on the hood of the dupe vehicle, still unable to exit. (No valid space to exit into).

aye no problem, i would adore having this, especially for my winter survival custom set up, it'd be a great way to add some real proper survial style feels to it

ey, just a heads up, dont use true music with this, otherwise the walkman will act as the device to exrtract instead of radio, and still not work.

tiene razon sobre su modo de immersion de ver las cosas ya que se trata de una isla entiendo un puesto avanzado para poder crear cualquier tipo de base o refugio sin limitacion a nada.. si me parece algo muy factible la verdad

si cada 5 minutos tiran la puerta abajo los zombies.. y si a un ponemos mods mas castigadores con zombies nuevos a un es peor y tocan antes la puerta cada 3 minutos me bienen a mi por eso es preciso que aya mod nuevos de puertas de seguridad blindadas las puertas de el juego vanilla no duran nada y el coste de materiales para crearlas es costoso para que una puerta no dure nada

I don't speak Spanish, so I'll try to reply in English. I think the idea you are proposing is pretty cool, I would love to see someone to try out on the concept. However, my intention for this mod is to make a safe space without any danger for players to do all the activities that it's hard for them to achieve in the main map, like building their own base, exercising, cooking, etc. It creates a new game loop that rewards player for going outside to get the resources they need to do all of those tasks without having to worry about something banging on their door every 5 minutes.

On the subject of premade buildings, the reason why I don't put down any because I like to give people the freedom to build their bases however they see fit, not just with decorations, but structural-wise. Rather than wasting players' time finding a sledgehammer and knocking everything down, I think this is a good design choice for everyone.

recomiendo su mod tenga una base en una isla pero vivir dentro de un bunker sin muebles ni nada vacio para que todo el mundo pueda decorarlo a su gusto personal lo que si deberia aber en el bunker es un sistema de subestacion electrica que haga que el jugador tenga que reponer las baterias auxiliares y el combustible para el generador una vez se agota el combustible nos quedaria las baterias de emergencia.. ya que todo bunker tiene un sistea de filtracion de aire y sin electricidad no funciona y no abria oxigeno

@DoomMarine23 I guess it feels pretty cheap when you extract without any drawbacks anyways. I think that's kind of my vision for the mod as well, just a safe space to chill out with a big group of friends to prep for the next day going out on a hardcore world. I'm considering to making an extraction zone system, instead of doing individually.

@seddows I might be able to put it as a separate mod folder, but I think I might focus on putting more features in the main map before working on that

Could you possibly add back in the fishing and foraging? And maybe add a few scattered buildings. The reason I say this is because the island could serve as a place wear players can retreat to and possibly learn all the mechanics in the game without the risk of being killed by zombies.

Interesting mod. I don't really think it matters if it makes the game "easier", because you were clearly looking to provide a new kind of experience for players, and it has certainly caught my interest.

I think this would be really fun with a super deadly world with sprinters, or mods like Anomalous Storms. Almost makes me think of the STALKER games where you'd hang out at the bars, gear up, and then go on missions.
