Do you mind if I update this mod to include the Empire Divided nomads as well? I will of course fully credit you and link to your original mod.

I updated the mod and added the non-playable nomad factions from the Imperator Augustus campaign; however, emperor edition did not affect the functionallity of this mod. @maririvn, I can only assume that the attrition that you were having was "desertion" attrition, which come from running out of money and being unable to pay your troops. This mod only makes nomads immune to "regionless" attrition.

Since CA reduced the base income for all factions, nomad are not able to maintain as large of armies without a home city. The ways to work around this is to have smaller/cheaper armies, raid and sack for money along the way and/or save a lot of money in your bank so you can pay your troops until they find a new home.

Alternatively, you could set nomads to be immune to desertion attrition as well. I will not be doing this because it opens up some silly exploits, but it is very easy to change yourself if you want to tweek my mod the pack file manager if you want to.

can you update this to emperor edition im getting attrition now with royal scythia

I may try this to get my Roxolani campaign going. The startmap is brutal for that faction. You get one small settlement, terrible infantry, and a walled settlement that you have to take in the first 15 turns or it's game over. The best way to do it with no infantry is to siege it out, but if you do that, somebody usually nabs your settlement and you go into attrition.

i dont have the nomads but when i get them ill be sure to grab this mod
moonjuice 12 Aug, 2014 @ 10:47am
@Brosheezi, double thanks: one for the mod and another for replying.
Brosh  [author] 12 Aug, 2014 @ 9:04am
@[TBO] Ermanarich, This modification can be made for any and all factions. I hesitate to expand it much because it could make stomping out some factions needlessly irritating for the player, namely if they have ships. The AI is likely not going to capitalize on the expanded ability to migrate across the map that this mod facilitates, so it makes little sense to hand out regionless attrition immunity to any faction that the player might use. If you want to give immunity to a specific faction, then you can easily open this mod up in the pack file manager and add them yourself.

@..., This should work with save campaigns assuming that the save works with patch 14
Ermanarich 10 Aug, 2014 @ 2:40pm
Wow, great thing!
I already thought something like this would be cool.

Just an idea:
Could you maybe also something like this for other barbarian factions?
For example the Cimbri and Teutones also travelled through big parts of Europe, before they were beaten by the romans.
(maybe just reduce the traits of being settlementless...)
moonjuice 10 Aug, 2014 @ 9:45am
Anybody know if it works with saved campaigns?

Thanks

Awesome mod idea :) This is a feature that the DLC really should have included
G_Masta_Phunk 7 Aug, 2014 @ 10:49pm
funny thing is this is a function in rome BI and in Kingdoms... but not in Rome II.... odd... hoarding armies... free upkeep... such a simple idea... once you lose your last home, your people hoard and no longer require upkeep.... this is better than a huge base income which the ai and yourself can take advantage of...
God game 7 Aug, 2014 @ 9:46am
hi very good mod! I think that CA for all the time couldn't show the nomadic factions in right way in all their games. Because the economy and everything about nomads were realy different from sendered civilizations
Cataph 7 Aug, 2014 @ 12:41am
As long as they do not spawn 5 stacks when their last settlement is gone like they did in Rome:BI it's cool. :D Thumbs up.

Boy I hated that.
Itchian Scratchi 6 Aug, 2014 @ 6:57pm
This sounds like the way to really play the nomads. Well done. Now if we can just remove their ability to instafleet, they will truly be nomadic.
