Hi, Dorante, unfortunately Ive gotten stuck with some real life stuff, and ive been kinda stuck with coding for the new hero because ive been planning some real ambitious stuff. Im working on it, but no eta for now.

@HungryTGUY Looks intriguing and I will test it right away. Thanks for your unit additions! I had already a look at the files and was wondering, if a scaled down SM Headquarter would be a better placeholder for the Hammerfall Bunker and if it would be possible to use the drop pod mesh for the Deathstorm?
I would also advice you to change the .xml of the producing building into an .xml.ext file and only put your changes in (in this case the trait). As far as I know, this will make your mods much more compatible with other mods, changing this same file.

Also, regarding a more "eco focused" space marine hero with fortress of redemption and all, I got a plan; I'll make a new hero that doesn't just give you fortress of redemption, but hopefully more. I would like to think about balancing it a bit more before adding, but in the meantime check out mods like "Venerable Dreadnought" which has fortress of redemption ulti with 12 turn CD, and another mod that makes that hero unique. Personally, I think its exploitable by make dread, place FoR, disband dread and make new one, so I'll try to make a unique hero that gives a lot of late game strategic benefits while also being a kind of hero which isn't feasible to rush.

Okae, so I updated Deathstorm and hammerfall to be substantially less op, by giving them -75% attacks normally, but giving +125% bonus attacks when overwatching (non overwatch: 25% attacks total, with overwatch: 150% total). Basically kills about half of guardsman equivalents with assault cannon/heavy bolters, but heavily chunks or kills whatever comes close. Also, when overwatching, the unit has 1 less range to focus on the defensive aspect. I kept costs the same, cause upon reflection the extra overwatch is uber strong.

Finally for the rising cost of unit proposal instead of unique, Ill look into code for that mod as I am not sure how to change unit cost scaling codewise, but ill see what I can do.

As for the current Hammerfall ulti and deathstorm drop pod, i think ill instead make the launcher free action instead of bolters free action (or ill find some other way to stop immediate heavy bolter firing after dropping), and also give them "instinctive targetting" so if you are using them offensively, it wont be as effective (so vulnerable to fodder tarpit to draw overwatch, etc). Is anyone unhappy with the cd/range/cost, and the other abilities?

Yeah, Hammerfall free action is too op. Ive put some thoughts, and here's what ill do;

So I wanted this unit to be more for battlefield support, but due to demand for FoR and hammerfall and to some extent deathstorm nerf, i propose the following changes and make a variant of this mod called "Damocles Command Rhino; strategic support variant", since some people might not be open to FoR ulti change.

For new mod; hammerfall ulti replaced with new Ulti: Calldown Fortress of Redemption, range 1, cd 5. Because late game the FoR spam could be imba, ill make the rhino unique. Does ability cost; 240 influence (too high, or too low?). I chose higher cost instead of increased CD, as there is a possible "exploit" where at late game it becomes worthwhile to make rhino, use ulti, disband, and make new rhino (tbh thats what I did with another mod called "Venerable Dreadnought": go ahead and check it out) instead of cd to wear off.

Haven't had the pleasure to try this mod yet as my gaming buddy is absolutely against it exactly because of hammerfall bunker ability, he would consider it if it was FoR but not as it is now.

"beeline" for the rhino, you say... Aren't players already beelining for it tho? Hammerfall bunker being OP as it is? I think that changing from hammerfall bunker to FoR would indeed be a nerf to the Rhino hero, but in a positive way.

To prevent mass pdorucing, couldn't you implement a portion of the code from "Rising unit prices" mod? That would not only "force" players to only have 1, but also to protect it well (aka treat it kinda like an HQ unit of sort), which fits in this mod considering this mod doesn't have solid combat capabilities but mostly support stuff

Tbh i know what you are saying, i think 5 heavy bolters being free action is way too much since you can use them immediately after deploying them. Secondly, i am not sure about deploying FOR; that would indeed give SM better late game, but it may also incentivise players to "beeline" for the command rhino and even mass produce them, which I personally am not sure is a good idea. So Ill try to think about it more.

Also, AI should be making rhinos, are you not seeing them for some reason?

Question: Does the AI use the hero unit?
2nd question: Would it be possible to change the ultimate ability from "Deploy Hammerfall bunker" to "Deploy Fortress of Redemption"? I feel like hammerfall bunker is way too powerful, so i was thinking that maybe switching it to the vanilla fortress of redemption would be valid enough, since it gives SM players an option to deploy more fortresses on the map, earning footholds and income at a faster pace.
