I'm glad there's a more modern way to fix this, I used the method I mentioned for making pre-smart phone mobile games circa 2006 Photoshop 7 :P
https://github.com/fnordware/SuperPNG here's a link.
1. File > Export > Save For Web (Legacy)
2. On the right side change it to PNG-24
3. Turn OFF Transparency
You can now change the Matte color (there might be a better way to get to this but this is what I used to do for work)
4. Click on Matte and change it to Black
5. Turn Transparency back ON
6. Save...
As far as I remember the extra white lines around your alpha is it bleeding in from the matte layer. Imagine that when you export a PNG it basically flattens your image against the default matte background and then "cuts away" the transparency with the Alpha layer. So if you have a blue pixel that's 95% opaque, that 5% transparency is gets a little white added as bleed from the matte.
Hope that helps
It seems that using Photoshop wil show the white lines but if i use GIMP to produce PNG will not show the white lines. The vanilla version and colorful version will coming soon
Also more colors would be cool like red and gold.
Also you prob can solve the white lines by making the vanilla skin use the same atlas, just put them in the same order in the pngs
