@Cyberknight, look up Oxford spelling.
Cyberknight 25 Apr, 2018 @ 10:01pm
Civilization is spelled with a Z

That's going in the book.

Rob the Alchemist 29 Nov, 2016 @ 3:53pm
No matter which version i choose the race won't show up onmy civilization selection, what did I do wrong?
Just A Dream 7 Oct, 2016 @ 8:47am
What kind of policy best suits dwarf? liberty into rationalism if going for science?
Fired_Fly 30 Jun, 2016 @ 11:08pm
Using jhd's multiplayer mod manager, it crashes my game trying to load the main menu. I have tried the manager with several other civilization mods and they worked well. I know don't even if you can fix it or if works for others just reporting my experience.

I like this mod. I have only two issues, one is that it never gets past the starting music. It just replays it over and over again until I have to turn it off. Second, so far all the random maps seem to have little to no mountains. I am going to try an earth map since that map seems to have tons of mountains.
poseidonhadeszeus 29 Oct, 2015 @ 1:39pm
Personally, I think the cities should have names like "Erebor" and "Moria".
RSJ-87  [author] 24 Jun, 2015 @ 11:09am
@Samiball: you need to make certain changes to the game to get multiplayer working with mods. Whenever any mod says it supports MP, it means that the mod changes nothing about the game that will ruin multiplayer if you do make those changes. Here's a guide on doing so: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=233428613

Let me know how you get on if you give it a go - I haven't had any feedback yet from those trying to make these mods work in multiplayer.
8BitsOfJoy 23 Jun, 2015 @ 11:26pm
When I click on this Mod in the mod list it says "Single Player: Yes" and "Multi-Player: Yes" - but I only see single player available after selecting the mod and clicking next - I cant get any mods to give an option to run in Multiplayer - how is this enabled in multiplayer ? I read somewhere that no mods work in multiplayer, if thats the case why does it say "Multiplayer: Yes" ?? - Thanks

Civilization is just the Americanized spelling, civiliSation is the European spelling.

civiliZation*
Kregeth 30 Mar, 2015 @ 12:00pm
being inside the mountain would enable you to make the Deep Mine of course.
Kregeth 30 Mar, 2015 @ 11:57am
Would be amazing if you could give the dwarven settlers the ability to travel in mountains and give them the ability to found their city inside the mountain itself, giving it a defense bonus but with a tradeoff like less foor production or something, a custom tile model would be required to make it look good though.

I am a dwarf and i'm digging a hole...
commandermerik 25 Feb, 2015 @ 2:44pm
For some reason, the Deep Mine in this mod is clashing or something with another mod that also has a "Deep Mine", and the game keeps replacing that with this CIV's UB. I'm not sure how to fix it.
Blucher 23 Feb, 2015 @ 2:39pm
This is a very nicely made mod and the civ is a lot of fun to play too. Thank you for making this!
phoenix 20 Dec, 2014 @ 4:06pm
really like your mods :)

i've done a world map for warhammer, needs a bit of testing, but works fine with your mods :)

i subscribed, found it in the mods section in the game, checked it, clicked next made sure it was active, then looked for the civilization, and it is nowhere to be found. I have the complete edition game, with BNW and G&K etc.. but it wont show up. I ave siegeboost mod active, trading posts turn into towns mod, and ocean tiles yield gold again mod.
schnakkbakk 29 Nov, 2014 @ 5:27am

@⺈ĐꚆѓøčĶ῭Ǭج৴.: it's deliberate. Forcing you to build near mountains means you'll often struggle to set up on the coast, near a river, near flatlands or choice resources etc. Since an adjacent mountain gives access to two really strong buildings, the Deep Mine AND the Observatory, it's right that it should be tough to pull off, and right that it should limit access to more desirable tiles.

@Supernaut: I'm sure it is, and that's a really cool idea. For now I've cut my losses and made a new UA in XML, but I'm still on the hunt for a consistent Lua collaborator, so I will remember your idea for the future. Thanks!
Doombull 23 Oct, 2014 @ 9:11pm
How about making it impossible for them to declare peace, but some bonuses the longer a war has lasted? Is that possible?
RSJ-87  [author] 16 Oct, 2014 @ 5:24pm
@⺈ĐꚆѓøčĶ῭Ǭج৴.: I know, it's not ideal. Was hoping to replace it with a custom UA but apparently the Lua is really hard and no one will do it for me. I'll alter it with XML in a forthcoming update - won't be as good as I'd hoped, but will be better than it is right now.

@KaijuJaegar19: very soon, perhaps this weekend.
Spaceman27 20 Sep, 2014 @ 9:55am
when can we expect replacement models ? :3
CallMeDicta 15 Sep, 2014 @ 8:45am
what bugs happen if you dont use the expansions
abnninjais4u 7 Sep, 2014 @ 6:31pm
Now that I got it to work and I've had a chance to play a few games I love them. Great mod. You are correct, not too strong unless you get incredibly lucky. A lot of fun.
Wookiee Guy 6 Sep, 2014 @ 5:39am
How do u get the smokey skies Scenario???
The pop 4 Sep, 2014 @ 10:26am
Thanks so much :) @RSJ-87
RSJ-87  [author] 2 Sep, 2014 @ 2:42pm
@Incanuth: that's cool no apology necessary :-)

@ApocalypseBunny: I won't be *making* them ('cos I don't know how) but yes, in the next update I'll be adding replacement models for those UUs that really stick out.

@smasheded: great idea, but that's some pretty high-level stuff (the tunnels, I mean). Beyond me for now, I'm afraid.

@devaroe: thank you :-) check the collection page for update news. I'm nearly done with High Elves and will release this Friday.

@Togea2000: click "Subscribe", start the game, go to "mods" from the main menu, profit.
The pop 30 Aug, 2014 @ 9:31am
How do I download the mod?
devaroe 29 Aug, 2014 @ 10:50pm
This is on of my favorite mods. The dwarves are production monsters if you have majority of your cities next to mountains. By the time you are able to build factories, you are rolling out what evey you want in little time. Not to mention one can build cash or science fast by switching production to either. Looking forward to your High Elves addition!
Sir Spoony 29 Aug, 2014 @ 4:20pm
Would be better if you cut their legs to half to look like real dwarves....
Tectreck 27 Aug, 2014 @ 10:06am
good idea with the tunnels and the mods seems lidgit
>Smashedn't 26 Aug, 2014 @ 10:19am
they should get some early game production on mountan tiles
and the ability to build tunles thru montians
ApocalypseBunny 26 Aug, 2014 @ 12:06am
Will you be making a custom skin for the faction units? Or at least the unique ones?
RSJ-87  [author] 21 Aug, 2014 @ 6:16pm
@BlastoiseBlue: there is a hills start bias, which often generates mountains nearby.

@sbcampana: just click "Subscribe". If you have the expansions it should work fine.

@Stephan Reiken: Forges depend on Iron so they, too, are situational, but yeah, losing them is part of the trade-off for Deep Mines.

@Mr. Tom: thanks! It's cool to see so many Warhammer fans getting excited.

@Andervall: afraid not. I'm not even sure what that would sound like? Maybe Wagner.

@fran2265: that's a new one. Can you tell me anything more about your game version? I have no problem with saving and reloading so don't know how to help.

For those having trouble getting it to work at all, compatibility issues are the most likely explanation: you need both expansions.

Doesnt work for me corrupts the save file everything is fine while i'm playing until i try to save and reload
Andervall 18 Aug, 2014 @ 9:01am
Will there be unique music for this civ? :D
Mr. Tom, China Co 18 Aug, 2014 @ 6:45am
I would like to thank you for making this (and others) civilization from the Warhammer game (a game I dearly love.) I thought long about making my of civ mods based on fantasy but have been stuck trying to perfect the UA, UB and UU. I am glad there are others making them.
TheTrueFinalBoss 18 Aug, 2014 @ 5:39am
Hmm, so its pretty much mandatory to build next to mountains or your cities that are not nextg to mountains won't even have Forges available.
RelevantCow 17 Aug, 2014 @ 9:44pm
how do I download this?
BlastoiseBlue 17 Aug, 2014 @ 2:21pm
Is there a start bias? (As in, starting near a mountain?)
RSJ-87  [author] 17 Aug, 2014 @ 10:27am
@Incanuth: This is explicitly based on the Warhammer civ. I understand why you'd expect a generic dwarven civ to be more closely based on Tolkien, but that's not this mod.

@SMURG: really interesting idea, but I'd like to get my first thought for the UA working. (This should also address the concerns of those who claim this civ is OP.) I did actually think about a tile improvement, but went with a UB because I wanted to add to the city's defence rather than adjacent tile defence.

@warp778: thanks, and thanks for raising that - will take a look.

@A True Diplomat: I am. Check the WFB pack page for update news.

@"Big Pimp": See http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Warhammer-Dwarfs-EN and a British English dictionary. Also, nice random capital letter at the start of your second word, you illiterate whore.
