Thanks for the clarification! How much is the production bonus?

As for the happiness then...if I understand correctly; the maximum of +2 is the number of other trees a given tree can match for bonuses?

In your example; Trad matches Lib & Pie, so Trad gives +2. Similarly, Lib & Pie each give +2 for matching Trad/Pie and Lib/Pie, respectively - for a total of +6.

But if we tried adding a fourth tree in there (e.g. honor), even though each tree matches 3 others, the four trees would still give +2 Happiness each - for a total of +8.

(This makes the max bonus possible with 10 Policies balanced be a +20 Happiness)

Is that correct? 🤔

Tradition = Food (e.g. Granary), Liberty = Happiness, Piety = Faith, Honour = Military, Commerce = Gold, Exploration = Maritime, Rationalism = Science, Aesthetics = Culture, Patronage = Great Person, Intrique (from my Additional Policy Trees mod) = Espionage, Industry = Production, Conservation = Tourism
So basically for each single Policy Branch (e.g. Tradition) that has the same number of unlocks as one other (e.g. Liberty), that's +1 Happiness. If you have the same with another (so, say, 1 unlock in Tradition, 1 unlock in Liberty, and 1 unlock in Piety), that nets an extra +1. So, that'd be +6. Whilst it can get high quickly, the fact that it fluctuates a lot hopefully balances it out.
It's a bit convoluted but I tried to reflect the leader's convoluted attempt to balance liberals and conservatives :p

Trying to understand the Unique Trait a bit more.
- What buildings receive a bonus from which policies? How much bonus is provided?
- Is the Happiness Bonus Global or Local Happiness? Is it per city?

How many Policy Branches need to be leveled to maximize the Happiness boost?
- A +1 Happiness per 'pair' of matching branches? Thus needing to level Four Branches
- A +1 per Policy branch which matches another? Thus needing only Two Branches (since both Trad and Liberty match one another, they both count)
- A +1 Per branch which matches another (not counting the first)? Thus needing three branches (So Honor and Liberty both match the level Tradition has reached, so lib/honor provide a +2 total)

Thank you in any case, the civ looks like an interesting way to get a very versatile Civ! And could def take people off-guard depending how I play in multiplayer 😊
