@Quanadia I made another mod for that, but if you got a version that works for you that's great! Also of course you can use my mod for other mods, goes for everything I made.

Love this mod! using Kenshi Genesis and its made only the roaming and named Ironsides recruitable. I hope it isn't a problem but I made a patch that allows this mod to still work while using Genesis. @VHNebula I'll see about it, but I have no experience adding NPCs or changing where or how they spawn. I'll get back to you on it, but no promises.

Hey cool mod! Definitely downloaded. I have a suggestion if you have time, the start added by the mod that adds the large "Old Ironsides" robot is only obtainable via the start, but I think it'd be nice to have the option to get it later at a cost or through dialogue. (Broken and needs an AI core to fix or something) Seems like it fits the scope of your mod! :beeped::cactusrum:

@Brimshaw I changed the chance_permanent value, so if I understand these weird values right he should say it for sure the first time and only occasionally after that. I put them all at 20-25 for permanent chance to say the line

He got added no problem now! However he does seem to be rather talkative, constantly shouting KILL and poor Sadneil trying to keep him calm. Love little dialogues like that, but he seems to have no delay between prompts, so anytime he sees anyone he will say it, wich can get a bit tiresome xP

Still tho, Im amazed u got this stuff working, The dialogue system in the games editor is a bit too complicated for me to be able to figure it out properly

@Brimshaw yeah I may have forgotten to add the DR_JOIN_SQUAD_FAST tag to the dialogue. Whoops. Should work now, and based on the fact you got his dialogue without an import, I doubt you'd need it for the recruit to do so.

No problem! Thanks for the quick reply, I remember looking at a way to add one of the existing dialogue packs but couldn't figure out how to do it to an entity the game considers an animal xP

@Brimshaw if the dialogue has triggered, I don't think an import is necessary. I'll take a look at it when I get home, there's a decently good chance I forgot to add the actual trigger for him to join your squad.

Hey there, quick question regarding marbas: I got him in a cage, possibly before you added him to be recruitable, will the recruiting for marbas work if I caught him before u added him to the rooster? or rather, do i need to do a fresh import if Marbas has been loaded in before?

as mentioned I have him locked up, and the dialoge triggers but he wont add himself to my group once his responses indicate that it would

It semi works with Genesis, you will have to sub to the original Ironsides mod and have it override Genesis. The Ironsides that spawn in Genesis are modified versions from the original mod. I was able to recruit a bunch from the Grid without issue.

@ForsakenFritos ttv that's unfortunate, however I made this mod using the original from Hapless, not Genesis. I'm not familiar with the modpack, nor do I really have the desire to download it and absolutely knacker my load order so I can make a Genesis version of this mod. If someone wants, they can use the framework in this mod to make a Genesis version, but personally, I'm just not that guy. Sorry.

@Potteri never made it with Genesis in mind, I'm not familiar with the modpack or how its recruitment processes work. Also, getting pummeled might still be a symptom of the recruitment/forcible conscription process, as it works like Tame Beasties in that you need them in a cage.

@KaddicusElfslayer That makes so much sense. I didn't realize before that the Broken-Down ones were just cannon fodder, as while in the Iron Valley, I luckily recruited two functional V-One's. It seems they spawn a lot more in Iron Valley, and can be found in the Deadlands Workshops.

Thank you still - going to gather a lot more, and sadly will need to do an import as the shopkeeper in the Scrapyard poofed.

@Sushima-Carmine yeah, the broken-down V-Ones are legit just cannon fodder, only worth recruiting because they don't eat. Hence why I made this mod so you could assemble a gigabot hit squad to rearrange your faction of choice's backside.

@KaddicusElfslayer I should have realized that, thank you for your time! I have like eight of these dudes. ^^; I guess I can use them as literal shock troops against the Holy Nation.

I think it's not worth trying to make a patch for it, as it seems they use completely different animations compared to the standard V-One.

@Sushima-Carmine that's a feature of the original mod, broken V-Ones cannot equip new frames (as far as I can remember). Even if it is a bug, that'd be on the side of the original mod because you can recruit passive V-Ones in settlements normally. Unfortunately the mod creator for Old Ironsides has quit Kenshi modding so the only way to adjust it is to make a patch.

Figured out - it's the Broken Ironsides, the V-One with one arm only that can't equip better frames. Anything above that, can equip them.

I am enjoying this mod, it's simple - but while this isn't a problem due to this mod, it seems some Ironsides you recruit, are incapable of wearing any other frames, encountered this issue recently.

I wonder if there's a way to fix that? Trying to gather a lot of Ironsides to assault Narko's trap, but the new three I gathered just can't wear anything. ^^;

Will do! If I come around to finding marbas in the ashlands and actually defeat him. Deimos alone nearly party wiped me trying to get him xD

@Brimshaw I wasn't able to find a dialogue package specifically for Marbas, but if he has the same package as the other Ironsides it should in theory work. Let me know how it goes if you try it!
