was there another patch that broke it? I don't follow the game anymore as I no longer play it, I really just wait until someone mentions that it isn't working

fix should now be available @Punkstyler. For whatever reason, an added multiplier of 0.5 to draft and gold costs now doubles the costs. An added multiplier of 0.25 adds 50%... not sure when that happened lol

Looks likee animal companion draft and gold cost is increased by 100%, not 50%. It's doubled, and it hurts a loooooot. You want mage? Wait 10 turns...

I wasn't able to find any references to the Infernal Juggernaut structure property, not sure what could be causing that. Hoping a re-upload fixes it, as my local version doesn't have the bug but the steam version does. Also found a missing ability reference for the caustic worm Tunnel ability, so I've given them Acid Spray instead.

No, it is happening even without new traits. I tested this with only your mod active on factions with vanilla traits and yours, seems to be happening on every culture.

That's odd and kind of seems like that means they would have moved references around. Was it with a specific trait selected? Animal Companions / Hellbinders?

Found a bug - with this mod enabled infernal juggernaut gets added to recruitable units pool in cities at the start of the game.

Ugh, really liked this mod but started crashing my game. took me forever to narrow it down in the load order. Don't know whats causing it. Just started acting up out of the blue. Any incompatibilities

Hi, thanks for all the work! Some really cool ideas there.

I conquered a city of Soul Shifters in my current game and the troops do have Soul Link, however upon using it in battle I don't see an exertion ability. Am I missing something?

Any chance you can make the Hellbinders trait compatible with High Culture? I made a civ of High Elves that use chaos magic to fight off the Wizard Kings and that would be the perfect trait for them.

For those interested, I have just updated the Animal Companions trait to work with the new Bear, Sabertooth, Elephant/Mammoth, Hermit, and Crocodile units added in Primal Fury and Empires & Ashes. You can check out each animal's buffs at the bottom of the description!

For those concerned about updates, this one still works fine without an update as of latest Wolf patch.

I've just come off a game with Hellbinders Reavers game with a Dragon Lord and everything went fine (and it's a very solid ability for them, summoned Nightmares and Gremlins make a huge difference in buffing your frontline and then murdering everyone with Magelocks).

Yes, Animal Companions doesn't summon or apply to any of the DLC animals though (and not to Primal's summons either). That said, the +50% Draft cost is super harsh and means its mandatory Disney Princess playthrough with Mana Channelers.

I don't have a list readily available, and it's been a while so I'd have to look through the mod to give you an accurate answer. High level, they are strong buffs or attacks that benefit the host of the link while applying some detrimental effect to the other linked unit, or vice versa. I think one of the abilities was a "thrusting" attack that hits three hexes in a line from the user. I believe another one involved providing invulnerability to a unit in exchange for the other being stunned or something like that.

No, bears were not part of the game when this was created. I haven't been too active with updating stuff aside from bugfixes, but will probably get back to the game more when all the DLC has been released. Until then it'll just be the animals listed in the description.

Abilities should now be fixed for all units. At some point there was an update to the modding tools that set all of the modded properties to require a minimum unit level, which for some reason was defaulted to 300 and something. Just had to change that in like 50 spots, but all should be working now.

@Tanuki Tested just now, the goretusks do evolve for me with only my societal traits mod enabled so its possible another mod is causing your issue

@XoerArchon I see that the hellbound summon is not appearing for me either, I'll see if I can get it fixed. Also noticed some animal companions abilities not getting applied properly that I'm gonna look at

Is it my load order being screwed or is the Hellbound summon ability not appearing for support and battle mage units? (I'm scared to check without all other mods since I would have to spend like an hour or two fixing my 15+ custom factions that use modded traits, tomes and cultures)

I did a little more testing today, the goretusks aren't evolving while the worms are. Didn't test the inferno pups though. I was mostly testing to see if Funi Time's Level up mod was causing the problem but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Alright, I've undone and reapplied my changes on the goretusks, as well as the worms and inferno pups since they were broken last time too. If you find any other broken evo chains let me know and I'll do the same with them.

Animals capable of evolution are probably broken again. I can't confirm for anything but the Goretusks but I would assume it is affecting all of them. An update would be much appreciated, the Animal Companion trait is by far my favourite trait and this breaks it.

Just saw my first evolved Goretusk suddenly in my ongoing savegame. I didn't have any prior, so you probably fixed it.
Another affected seems to be the inferno puppy.
Other units were fine even before the fix.

I reset the units for goretusks and the worms and reapplied my changes, which may have fixed the problem people were having. That said, I didn't see anything wrong with the evolve logic but maybe something weird happened with a patch who knows.

So for some reason, the pigs and worms get the final medal level. Which they normally don't. Every unit that evolves has only the champion medal. Those that are broken get the elite medal. And this including description.
Maybe something you did gave them the medal and that broke it?

can confirm, this mod seems to make caustic worms unable to evolve. seems to cause pigs to be unable to evolve too, but every other evolve creature (to my knowledge) still works.
