I love it when you load up the save it gives you a report, gives the feeling that the game is released from a little preassure every time, I love it. We need this in 1.6 hope you are alright and you can upgrade it. :darkangel:

do ex-colony pawns that get diplomatically married off to another colony via the 'romance on the rim' mod get mothballed? i have a tendency of accepting in random pawns and immediately marrying them off for faction relations, and am only now realizing that might be messing my game lol

didn't make TOO big of an impact for me (i think the pathfinding of my 55 colonists is my main lag cause,) but still made a notable one! very good utility either way

Okay it's complete inconsequential but is there no way to stop it from giving me a letter every time I load my save? It really annoys me OCD and I don't need any of this information. I turned off auto-run and the generate report.

This mod is a godsend. For a long running colony is reduced my file size by about 70% and greatly increased TPS from nearly unplayable to mostly smooth.

Goated mod. Installed this on my heavily modded world I have been playing a while on. went from max 150TPS with drops to 15 TPS occasionally to a consistent 400-500 TPS. Commenting for the other mod doom scrollers that get the eventual lag problem

I was getting some random slowdowns like, three times an in game day after having an active colony for a few years, couldn't figure out why, all I knew is that according to performance analyzer, it was something involving a world tick update, and it would happen usually like clockwork, at the exact times.

This fixed it all and now a heavily VFE and such modded game runs pretty damn smoothly again, great mod.

Another, unintended but highly appreciated effect: I'm going with archonexus quest, on the third map right now. With random pawns mothballed, I get a lot of my old colonists visiting through Hospitality mod now. Very cool.

Also it seems to work perfectly fine with Performance Fish so far.

I don't understand what makes this incompatible with performance fish. I'm utterly convinced PF doesn't mothball as I installed this mid-play through and my TPS went from 120/180 on 3x speed back up to 290/340 on 3x speed. Literally a play through saver. Ive had no issues using this with PF so far, and if anything its mothballing is better then PF's.

I have a suggestion to add option to limit art descriptions to default ones that don't mention any pawn, because pawn mentioned in the art description will stay in the worldpawns forever. And if player makes many sculptures for trade then those pawns caught up in description will add up.

This worked like gat dang mugic for me. You, my dear person, just saved a 700+ hour colony. TPS was down to 20, 60 tops, at max speed, after about 30 seconds of loading into the colony. I was at an absolute loss; savegame shrinker, Performance Fish, Rocketman, Process Lasso, you name it, I have it installed and running, and nothing was really helping much.

Then bam, I install this, and I'm hitting 300 TPS regularly once more.

You have my thanks and the thanks of my colony, who were days away from a very sad, very ignoble deletion.

i appreciate anything that improves my 627 load order. and it really did boost my performance. i had macro lags so severe that i was about to give up on my run, this mod solved all of it.

theres just one problem. it seemed like my game couldnt generate new pawns and most quest maps i visited were completely empty, of pawns. examples being distress calls, warrants, bandit encampments and maps from ancient urban ruins.

i started another game and so far i did not manage to encounter this problem. the performance boost is so good that im willing to abandon my previous saves.

Much love for the mod, instant improvment of my game. I am about 12+ years in and running a hospital. My game was running really poorly, I have 20+ pawns plus all the people coming to get healed. Ran this mod and boom, instantly better. No more near slide show! I can keep on going now. Thank you for this amazing mod!

I'm sorry for neglecting to follow the comments and respond to everyone. It's been a hectic few months as I've been focused on job hunting, which is still ongoing.

@0ToMiiA0 as far as I know it doesn't break anything, but there are a couple of functions in both mods that try to do the same, so one of them won't work

This mod clean my 22 years save file, and the world pawns just drop from 5000 down to 900, and save file is down 167MB to 53MB. It's seems fix the random lag issue for my safe file. Thank you.

Omfg...

I always quit out late game because playing on sub-100 TPS is unplayable for me.
Just installed this mod, it purged over 600 pawns!!! and i'm back to 320-360 TPS.

I assume these are all the traders that ever visited me as 99% are from friendly factions (Why they hell is the game even doing that lol)


I love you, now back to removing organs.

This is one of those mods that should really be part of the base game.

I does exactly what it says it does and exactly why it says it does. It quadrupled the TPS in my 19 year old colony just by removing thousands of useless references from the save file.

You have no idea what a godsend this mod was. Save went from 300MB to 180MB.

There were 12k pawns and 9.5k animals qualified for garbage collector

@mashirogod interesting. Usually, when you can't enter the map there's something in the console or error log file. Do you have something?
Plus, this mod doesn't do much (it's just a few patches). if you deactivated it and there's still an issue, then there are likely other things in play here.

The map does not load when I try to add the mod, I already had it added in another save from days ago and when I entered today it told me that it is not possible to enter the map. and when I deactivate the mod I can enter the map but it only goes at 2 fps. I don't have incompatible mods, I don't know what the problem is, I'll report it anyway.

@pig in a pumpkin I never used Caravan adventures, so I can't vouch, but as long as they use vanilla caravan structure, or at least add pawns to the list of important-to-keep-forever pawns, it should work fine
