Sorry guys there will be no more updates and at all others my mods too for some some silly people who have problem to see that something can be made better then they can - brain limitation of our times and simple jelous BYE to everyone my 25 years fun with OFP/arma come to the end maybe is time to rest.

It turns out you can not update the mod, namely all cars and trains, so that they are not objects of decor with animation, but objects of equipment side civilian or other sides. Apparently this is difficult to do? That even the original mod developer nailed it.

Sorry it is not possibile due to way of animate cars - Bi should think about train simulation model - thats will be the best and solve problem

Is there some way to be able to attach objects to the train-cars and have them stay in place? I've tried things like [this, (other object name)] call BIS_fnc_attachToRelative in the attributes to try to hold them in place and no luck. same goes for things like demo charges, they can be placed but then just float in place after the train has started to move. if you have any info that can help it would be greatly appreciated.

this is modification of their ATS engine beacouse they abandon this project (and I understand them - they do huge work to make it alib\ve and nobody from Bi take this option to DEV department for implementation (even to A4 I think it will not be possibile in the way like most users wnat (transport goods)

Duda's ATS is working fine on common maps.

I was able to have trains moving along Chernorus railways on its own in one of my mission, without player driver. You may however need ATS dev version instead of stable one, can't remember now. Contact guys on their discord to obtain the newest one.

ahh I see. I was trying to use unit capture and that doesn't even work, nor attaching objects. This version is dope though because you can make elevated rail systems for maps.

Not in this version of train - this is only for player (even player at fact not sitting in this train) - BI not made simulation of train so it is problematic.

is there any way to get the AI to operate the trains. i wanted to make a train travel along a route without a player having to control the train.

Okay I get that the object initiated object and the prop are not the same, but still, how do you attachto? After the train was initiated.

unfortunatelly it works on movie but in game it can be not so smooth - so we stop working on it for now - without simulation model for train-type it will be never eunogh good

The original ATS mod isn't in developement anymore, and i've been wanting to do a guntrain mission for ages, would be the mod of the year if you were able to figure out the attach to stuff that doesn't jump around when you get in a attached vehicle or turret

how were you able to attach assets to the train cars? To my knowledge, attachto does not work whenever the cars are linked to the engines.

I achieved something similar with ZEUS + ACHILES, but it doesn't always work and I don't even know how it works.
There is a mission that makes the train keep running while the player flies a helicopter, I think it uses some remote control command:
