You have no idea how long and hard I've waited for a mod like this! Won't be long and then we can have the return of GCCM! Great job m8!
Am I able to set this map as Altdorf in the Campaign as well? It's a fantastic Map.
@Serkelet the Eversalty Then I recommend your friends to use an alternative launcher with better ways to manage mods, like kaedrin's, wh3mm, or runcher. Now that the mod limit is not a thing anymore, modders really don't have a reason to merge packs, and if it's a matter of subscribing.... sorry, lazyness is unfixable from my side.
@Miguelan! The effects are linked to buildings that have capture points. You can link effects to buildings that vanilla maps use for capture points, but afaik only the major capture points are linked to a building in vanilla maps. The minor points (supplies) don't have a capture point, so on those custom effects cannot be added.
To be honest this is the best answer I've seen to a good siege system, make every capture point have a meaning. The effects are strong, but supposedly armies could defend strongholds 1vs10, so defending the great fortresses should give big advantages.
Thanks for the hard work.
I do understand your first reason, having to fix other people's maps had to be very frustrating, and I get it.
The second reason though is very unfortunate, because the lack of a compilation means I won't subscribe to any of these map mods. My friends and I play mainly multiplayer campaigns and it's a real hassle to coordinate with them and convince them to subscribe to a few mods; imagine I had to tell them they had to subscribe to 10 to 20 map mods. it's just not feasable, and it's annoying. But I do appreciate your work. Cheers.
@Serkelet the Eversalty Nop. For multiple reasons:
- Compilation means maintaining the maps when things break, and I don't want to maintain and fix other modder maps again.
- Compilation means the team gets all the praise, while the individual maps may get a few hundred downloads. I really prefer the map makers get more recognition, and getting more people subscribing to their maps it's a good step on that in my opinion.
@ByPiros Maybe. Maybe not. And for help, you can check wakawaka's tutorial for the basics, and may old tutorials for warhammer 2 for the advanced parts (except for the AI part, the rest is still valid). Only things left are towers, barricades, and the new AI, and I'm working on a tutorial including them.
now we can start to flesh out the world.
