@Boba, If you connect to as a client to a host who doesn't have the mod, you won't have any walls. Apologies. Either remove / disable the mod while connecting or ensure your host has the mod.

I pushed the multiplayer fix from @Lassesjov, but its probably not perfect

I tried pressing every button on my keyboard (and holding every button on my keyboard-) but nothing worked, I couldn't get rid of any walls :/

@Hardluker I think that "Z-fighting" is multiple things that are not sure which one should be drawn on screen on top of the other.
Like if I have a blue background and a red table, and they were Z-fighting, I would either/any of those:
- sometimes see only the background
- sometimes see the table correctly
- sometimes see a mix of of some of the red of the table on top of the blue table.

At least, that is how I've heard the term used in other game dev contexts.

What is "z-fighting"? I was gonna try to debug it but honestly not sure what that means. Any clues?

I really do love this mod and it worked perfectly fine in multiplayer (had no issues at all) But I would love if it took down the whole wall as well instead of just being able to do a hatch. Maybe have it to where you do it once for a hatch and then you have to do it again for the hatch to be taken down? Just an idea.

Liked to play with this Mod, but since i often play with Others and some of them have the same Issue with Walls like Scarlet, we sadly deinstalled it.. +.+

@LukeNeverShaves it works for me with a restart, maybe you are missing harmony? I added it as a required mod

@CrypticGalaxy the settings can be found ingame with Esc > Mod Preferences > Sledgehammer, but Im gonna investigate why they dont show up in the main menu

hey you mentioned that the mod settings can change the slegde hammer's spawn rate, usage, wtc- where can i find those settings? i have mod preferences installed but it's not showing up

Sledgehammer settings dont seem to be affected even with restart.

Started a new map with it set to 5 cost and common appearance and had to reroll 5 times for it to show up and was still 1250. Have tried it a few times and regardless of settings it doesnt change.

Hi, you forgot to specify that you need "KitchenLib", if that is not present, the game will crash on startup.

Been using this after the update last night but it still feels like it takes quite long (stopped counting after 30 seconds). Another issue seems to be that after using the sledgehammer to break down a wall section I can no longer pick up other tool objects (tray, scrubbing brush, etc). Still trying to figure out if it's a mod incompatibility.

Really enjoying it so far though, makes a lot of the wonky generated restaurant layouts more flexible to play, great idea.

Hey, today’s my first time trying the hammer so I have no comparison, but are you sure the usage time is down to 15 seconds and you didn‘t accidentally add a 0? I can‘t finish even one wall in a single day, it would kill my run - I timed it and ended up spending 1 minute 43 seconds hammering until it was done. I play on Steam Deck, but that shouldn‘t make a difference for this mod‘s behavior, right? I‘d absolutely love the mod if I could actually spend less time hammering :)

- I agree that the duration was too harsh so I reduced it
- having it as one time use per day also seems acceptable & feels more natural anyways
- the rarity and price will stay for now, as I think anything else would be too op

will also add a config when I get the time

Had an issue where the UI for showing the details of the "Hammered Hatch" permanently stayed up, and would not disappear even in gameplay.

I really like the idea of this, but hate the way it was implemented. I'm not looking for a "balanced" way to remove walls. I just want to remove walls. Would like there to be an option for those who want to "earn" it and those who just want to knock down some walls. It also took way too long to do. An option to make it faster would be nice since in end game it's way too hectic to spend that much time knocking down the wall.

I noticed a few bugs/issues when I used it. I got two sledgehammers while re-rolling blueprints. I made both, but when I used one both of them disappeared rather than just the one I used. The second bug I noticed was that after using the sledgehammer both of the trays I had were bugged and unable to be picked up. The surface they were on still acted like they were there (allowing me to place two items) but I was unable to pick the trays up.

Love this idea. We've been saying how handy this would be, so great someone made a mod! Not sure ti should be as rare as it is though. Maybe VERY expensive but more frequent?

I like the idea of it. But I dont think it taking as long as it does is the right way to balance it, especially for solo runs. But has great potential when it finds its feet :) Good work!
