Since most US car companies are namded after their founder here are some decent sounding names that can be used and a made up one

Moore (Cars/Motors)
King (Cars/Motors)
Baker (Cars/Motors)
Clark (Cars/Motors)
EAC - Eminent Automotive Company

I just tried making the base plate 20 wide and it works just fine. There are two base plates, one wood ("grass") and one steel at the bottom so make sure the rocket stands are actually attached to the rest of the build after changing the size (select a part of one rocket and use CTRL + L to see that all parts are linked to it).

If you just ype in a smaller number for the width and not move anything it should be fine to make it narrower. Just make sure it's an even number if it already is an even number and odd if it's odd. The everything should align just fine. Other than that not sure what to tell you since I don't know exactly what went wrong.
