the non-dry reload loop also has the gun flickering but im guessing thats a qc issue not a decompile issue (im not an expert on any of this)

the new deploy, both versions of the reload start/loop, and the firing animations all have buggy hand movement. everything else, including the old deploy and the bolt pull at the end of reloading, decompile fine. this has apparently been a problem with Crowbar for eons

Are all animations broken? I use the exact same animation for both sequences that use delta and don't so you should get an untouched version of the animation file.

decompiling with Cowbar breaks the animations because they use delta, is there any other tool that could be used to decompile this so it doesn't break?

ive always thought that the autoshotgun in l4d1 looked comically small compared to how it looks in l4d2. like the survivors grabbing a toy.

This mod uses vanilla sounds and doesn't come packed with any custom ones.

this animation always felt like a punishment, like,
you run completely out of ammo, now you don't get to use your flashlight while reloading + it takes a little extra time to finish reloading
l4d2 kinda just only kept the "can't use flashlight" part and changed it to always use it

That's about it really, I'm a big fan of the first game's idea with the animations so I try to bring them back in case others also enjoy them.

In case you're wondering though the reload times in these mods are unchanged, so you reload at the same speed that you normally would without the mod on so the animations themselves are cosmetic, they shouldn't have any impact on the gameplay.

Other than the chambering animation, i can't really see why you would use it, without the goal of just wanting to replicate the first game.

Does anybody know where i can find the version with the stock deploy instead? i could've sworn I saw someone do this earlier this year but i'm having trouble finding it and the ones that i have found have the non-empty reload with no cocking.

@PeopleLikeStuff Gotta remember all of L4D1's animations were made for survivors with huge hands in mind. They look alright in most cases with Francis, Louis and Bill but since Zoey's hands are the tiniest she doesn't hold most weapons correctly.

Yeah, my favourite part of the L4D1 autoshotgun is pulling the stock, but it seems no one can make it except for the Qurerentin version, and my issue with that mod is that the viewmodel is kind of at a weird angle or is just huge.

I don't think I'll make a version that uses this new draw with the default reloading, for the default animations tho you can look at Lt. Rocky's original port.
