Good News! Classes are over, and I still have that drive for programming - If I can't get issues fixed, I'll probably be re-writing the code base from scratch with my newer experience. Expect an update sometime soon!

So centipedes shocking me is just crashing the game. Low power, high power. Doesn't matter, it's a game crash.

i swear I'll get around to updating this at some point - unfortunately i do not control the tides of ADHD hyperfixation. I tried playing with it myself recently and... yeah, it needs some tune-ups with the recent updates BADLY. oops!

Agh. I assume a lot of these are results of the game updating- I'm not sure when I'll be and to get around to updating the mod :(

I found two bugs: 1. lizard bites' can't grab you so they are harmless to you (I think) and 2. you can't throw other slugcats off your back, you can only drop them

Thats odd. The was an old bug where centipedes could ONLY kill you if you were playing capacitor, but i have no idea why vultures would be affected if that's related.

This is a really good mod, and I haven't tried it in the last couple days due to a bug I'm having with it where for some reason Lizards, Centipedes and Vultures grab me but don't kill me.

word of warning that I believe improved input config is broken in the new update so this mod is unplayable as long as improved input is required unfortunately

I don't want to send the whole exception because there's a lot but here's the issue being experienced that causes the game to lag momentarily when you enter output mode

@Sisudatu I'll look into it, but I'm unfortunately not sure how much I can do about that- there's a chance it's just the game processing the update. Hopefully it's something I'll be able to patch out, though!

the game freezes for 0.5 seconds everytime when entering output mode

Thanks for the review! I'm not sure about the plant life, I'll have to give it a look, but it shouldn't affect the plant life in any way, outside of map differences from the gourmand world state.

You can press a button to turn on the scug, then they can run, jump, throw spears all amped up, and have extra jumps
And other interactions with electricity.

Okay! The world is Gourmand-state now like it was supposed to be, centipedes can shock other creatures and players, and moon doesn't crash the game.

@Sisudatu AH. I have.... no idea how I managed to miss that. I checked the code for that section and... I just straight up prevented centipedes from shocking ANYTHING that isnt the Capacitor. I'll... get a patch out for that soon. should be a quick-ish fix. Thanks for letting me know!!

@KevinTheDragonX ah. so it does. I honestly thought the worldstate was set to gourmand's, but I must have forgotten to switch it back after testing. I'll try to get a fix for it out, I'll see if setting the *intended* worldstate helps, but ultimately I'm still working on the campaign, so it's not too surprising to me.

so much fun to play!! I use it with the monster skin from the Rain's fancy slugs pack to make it extra alien, only sad thing is, it doesn't have the flashy eyes this way.

@Sigh-Fi It should be re-bindable already, through the Improved Input Config mod, which should have been marked as a dependancy. If the option isn't there, theres a possibility one of the mods didnt load correctly?

@Lolights2, thanks so much! I originally wanted to make the shock-hop stronger, but decided to leave it this way as a type of management thing- if you're willing to spend a lot of food, you can chain a LOT of jumps together. (and I might just slap that video into the preview :3)

@JackalHood I have been looking into that a bit, I had some issues with rebinding the shock-hop crashing the game on use, but EVENTUALLY I'll get it rebindable, since I know a lot of people prefer to rebind arti's jump.

ahh, will it be possible to re-bind the output mode toggle in the future?? unfortunately, i play on controller, and my map button is bound to the left bumper and i couldn't figure out why my food was rapidly draining until i exploded LMAO

Heyoo! This slugcat looks like it has a ton of work put into it, and it is equally as fun to play! :D
The only suggestion I would have is to make the shock pop ability stronger (perhaps it would be cool if it would launch you vertically further, but not as far horizontally to make it different to the artificer)

Do you think it's possible to make the shockhops work with rebind everything like arti's jump does? I saw the output toddle does, so I was wondering if maybe the shockhops could be set to as well :D This scug is a lot of fun!

@sleepless, Yes! Centipedes recharge and stun you if you are shocked, as well as killing the centipede that shocked you! (Unless it's a Red Centipede, in which case it's only stunned.) As long as you have less than 85% battery, that is. If you're shocked while your charge is near full, you will overcharge and die as normal (making Red centipedes still a threat, as they charge you and get right back up!)

Jellyfish can also recharge you, but they work a little differently.

I intentionally phrased the electrical interactions vaguely, as i wanted room for experimenting and discovery.

Neat scug! I do have one question, if you get shocked by a Shockipede does it recharge your charge? if not that seems like a neat idea.
