Seems to be too buggy to play. Cows don't do cow stuff, you're under attack by a significant army too quickly, triggers for later quests don't properly execute. Unplayable. You have other good scenarios, this one just seemed to not get enough play testing.

I keep getting this weird glitch where if I try to look at certain parts of the map the camera is shoved away. I can't even look at my starting area because my camera will immeditly by moved towards the unexplored area in the middle of the map if I try, basically making it impossible to do anything. Is anyone else having this problem or know a fix?

If you play this, it's very important to ignore the monastery until you free the town. From there, I could eventually take control.

but i've found out even here there's a way. i went back from the start. anyone seeing this, if you get the monk and monastery before freeing the town, the town won't trigger to be yours until late enough where purple is about to launch an indefensible attack. however, i freed the town first and the town was instantly mine then i got the monastery and all relics. I had enough time and reinforcements to defend myself against their army afterwards. Now the war with yellow and white...you can't change diplomacy in game. Maybe they'll declare war on me automatically if I put my army in their town? Idk, I'm about to try it out on my game, but with a steady supply of units now, this should be manageable.

I played both of them and am a huge fan of both. Ragnar's raids was amazing. I've played a lot of your scenarios and this is the only one i've come by with any bugs i can recall.

DoomedPaul772, thank you for reporting all these issues. Unfortunately, the game has received some updates over the years that impacted some of the triggers in this scenario so the scenario doesn't quite work as intended. I will not be updating this scenario to address these bugs, but I may use some of these concepts in future scenarios. If you haven't played them yet, I recommend checking out some of my newer custom scenarios like Rise of Genghis Khan and Ragnar's Raids.

If you can't win without the abbey, you should lose with it's loss though it's impossible to defend that early in the game. you need it for your relic quest or to get castle age. i got one relic, not much later they attack your monastery with a big army. the town doesn't trigger until around the time all the palisades in the north are destroyed by them though idk what triggers getting the town and villagers. at the time they attacked my abbey, i just had my initial army and a few units from the first relic. with a good and steady stream of units plus your by-now abaundant resources to use, the town might be defendable with a lot of grinding and luring, but i don't see how the abbey can be defended. i really like the concept to this level, but don't see how it's winnable since they attack the monastery so early.

I've beat a lot of difficult scenarios on higher difficulties, this one's stumping me on easy with the giant army attacking in the castle age.

You can't turn on anyone with the teams locked.

Cool mechanics, but it seems that diplomacy is locked, so can't really play it as intended.

Scenario is broken, i don't see how anyone is suppose to win this without cheating. The ai literally spawns armies of armies to attack you once you taken the town. The send like 20-30 infantry, 20 archers, knights and boyar and like 5 rams filled with man-at-arms. LIke how da fuck am i suppose to defend against that in fuedal age?

Even the first battle, first wave is doable but second wave with anything but the tarkans is like impossible, maybe with good micro you can beat it or if you cheese it by camping the barracks. THIS is all on petty king(easy) btw, and i can't even suvive the onslaught constantly coming my way with no walls.

Also the ingame diplomacy is locked and you can't turn on either yellow or gray.

I know this is an old map but this is just and fyi to people trying to play. Maybe I'm just unlucky but i can't deal with the amount of spam early game I am getting.

I don't know if it's a bug or I'm missing something, but I can't pick a side in Niall vs Aed. Diplomacy is locked and I haven't seen any taunt-based options.

I don't know if there's any way to make the file smaller, but this is takes way to long to load. I've only seen a few maps that took this long. :(

Took forever to beat (even on the in-game "easy" setting.

I did hit a bug where I killed Niall and his army, but the other king (the one with the siege workshop) didn't respond in any way.

By this point Purple AI basically threw in the towel (I've used up all my stone to build a ton of towers in the middle of the map, and I guess that must've killed its pathing), so all I did was use my Axemen to bash a hole in the wall at the edge of the map + rush in with knights, b/c his castle didn't have murder holes. Took Tara the same way.

Still, tons of fun.

Great design and setting! However, two things were a bit weird. Seemingly you needed to kill the ''Petty King'' to get a trigger. I converted the latter, so the trigger came only when he died later on. The second half when you wanna storm the fortress infinite units spawn, not possible to win unless you wait long enough so that you have tons of tarkans.

Hi there I'm currently playing this, just want to report some missing stuff - the triggers used to rename the longbowmen and the archers are not working, and for some reason i can't seem to get the Champion tech after defeating the grey player (the trigger for this seems to be missing?)

Really well made, good description. I love the realistic farms and hay, now we can use the savannah grass patch for such too :)
Is there no picture of the map? or would it be too releaving even without the resourch and unit indecator?

It's a superb scenario, and the cow pasture works very well, + the enemies are not dumb at medium level. My only gripe is the cheering that keeps on for ever (a sound loop). Is that intentional?

Well put together, but purple kills it for me. A big dumb enemy with endless streams of dudes, infinte resources, and no recourse but to wipe him out.
All the hype over cattle and pastures fell flat too. Was expecting a lot of raiding, stealing, and migrating, but I just took the first two pastures, left 4-5 cows each on both of them, and forgot about it. Never had to deal with any cow thieves, and the enemies don't seem to use the mechanic and just have infinte rescources, which is stupid.
So yeah. Cool idea, promissing start, pretty map, and interesting mechanics, but it all boils down to yet another dull slugfest against an enemy that doesn't follow any of said interesting mechanics. Disappointing.
