Just saw your comment and decided to try the level again. I think the changes have helped a bit, although I still ran into a few problems.
The biggest one is that the new tutorial for the buttons was softlocking me, and I had to run restartlevel to get out of it. Hat kid would stand on the button, then turn around and just do nothing. I tried it a few times and it only worked when I hit the button such that I landed on the ground beside it, not sure what would be causing that if it didn't happen for you. I also think that the section goes a bit slowly aside from that.
The new visuals for the purple mini-suns is better, but I still got edgeguarded pretty hard by the flamethrower. I'm not sure if I got unlucky with cycles but it still seemed to be facing straight outwards whenever I bounced up there from the ice platform, maybe even moreso than before.

I'm glad that you've tried to update it to fix people's issues though. Sorry that some people here are being really rude. :(

This is by far the most frustrating, annoying and infuriating level I have ever done in this game

But it was very fun actually beating it, please never touch the map creator again. :steamthumbsup: :steamhappy:

Man do I love challenges but there was too little shade spots. And the time to not get burned alive is like maybe 4 seconds? A little over the top..last part was cool though I really like complexity

I think the aesthetic of this level is pretty cool, and I love how Hat kid reacts when you start burning. However, I feel like this level needed way better direction, and for the last few sections to not go as overboard. One example of the level design going over the top is a part very far into the level where you're was supposed to climb on top of a platform where there is an extremely fast spinning flamethrower while constantly burning, with the only form of shade being one activated by a dweller mask. I gave up when I dropped the dweller apple, had to climb back up to get it, and died in the aforementioned section. I think there's a lot of potential with these different mechanics, but I think easing up on the difficulty and providing better direction would help.

im not having this problem. hat discord says it could be caused by using a playable w/ "different physics"?

for some reason, after I go onto the red umbrella to jump to the next part, I land on the tower and no matter what I press, i'm frozen and place and can't move! the only thing I can do is enter the menu and quit... I've tried this level 3 times and every time I get stuck at the same place. I just wanted the community achievement... but now I have to wait until new maps are selected so I can get it because I legitimately can't beat this one.
Also the instructions aren't clear at all what to do, so I've had to use a modded-in flying hat (Kirby Yarn Hat) to get past the bar things and a true time stop Hat (Timestop 2.0) so I'm not constantly on fire from the heat because there is not a lot of easily accessible shade (that doesnt have enemies near it, or fire thing stopping me from getting to it quickly without waiting)

I'm sorry to say this, but this was one of the worst stages to get into challenge road thus far

Plain not fun, annoying, unclear directions, lack of checkpoints

I have to agree that the level felt quite frustrating. Even with shadows, it was sometimes hard/inconsistent to get into shade. For example, it wasn't very clear that the ice hat platform on the long straightaway was for shade, and when I first tried I kinda jittered between burning and not (maybe the area above isn't fully in shade). It also wasn't clear that the white bubbles hurt you. Up above, the left path had the flamethrower NathanVenture mentioned as well the gear platforms up to there seeming unusually janky to climb. For the other path, getting there wasn't obvious since you have to bounce high up off the umbrella, but it's blue which normally means a short bounce. The section itself just felt like a lot of waiting, and the cherry just passed through the solid dweller platform when I tried throwing it there to get it back.

I do appreciate the atmosphere and mechanics you put into the level, but I think it needed to do better with clarity and avoiding inconsistent behavior.

Could have done with a mafia or something to explain the timed bombs section a little better. Good, challenging level overall.

Very obtuse and frustrating on a first play, but in hindsight the level as a whole wasn't that bad. The alternating bridges half of the timed fruit segment is sickening though, and on the other path I frequently get edgeguarded by the flamethrower after the Ice Hat jump, or comboed by heatstroke, the flamethrower and the damaging ceiling while trying to quickly swap to and use the Brewing Hat to clear the way forward...
