how use tool

Ive returned from my trip and addressed some bugs with the tool crashing. If anyone has been getting some of these issues, please try to tool again and report back if bugs are still apparent

ohoh,I was hasty.
I just tried to reproduce the conditions under which the problem occurred and found that when adding this mod, it must be in the first or second position, and the problem will occur after the third position.(Creative)

@典狱长ZANE This is a common issue in custom games with mods that make commands, there isn't much I can do as I can't account for the ways that different custom games handle the binding of commands. If your issue is in creative then im not sure, thr way commands are hooked is correct and the same way that most mods do it.

I have an issue where the mod disables all commands if it is not selected first in the mod selection menu for the world. This is oddly specific and totally avoidable but I thought I'd point it out.

After one use the tool doesnt seem to be working still. I've tried creating new world and re-subbing it didnt fix it.

@Hex:Spain Res Those issues should be resolved now, those were created due to some bugs slipping through the overhaul of the exporting and importing system

I can't give you my build. Its not vanilla and has a lot of mods and I don't want anybody else to have it. You could try in my world if you want to do that?

@Maggz I'm also doing an update shortly which adds more features and changes to the movement and editing system, so if you still have this bug for some reason, it should be fixed though the next update.

@Maggz I fixed a bug very recently about something similar to this, try and unsub and resub to the mod to see if you have an outdated version

@xX_Fighter_Xx The command is there incase you pick up something like a chest or refinery while flying. The game will freeze your character if you do this as you cant force a tool while swimming, so the command must be there. Also ive personally had many mods in my world which require commands and my mod hasn't interfered with any of them, are you sure its my mod?

I have a very wierd issue where Bingo only works to move 1 part then stops working ON a single creation. I don't have this issue with any other creation and its very wierd

I'd like to request the fly command thing being removed as it messes with all other mods that add commands properly as custom games. I don't even see how it's necessary as you can toggle it in the UI anyway.

@DeltaIguassu Unfortunately not, this blueprint editor basically just opens the file of the creation, so its basically how the game saves your build. In there, there is no information about specific parts and their properties, these properties are bound to parts with their shape id.

is there anyway to change a creations mass or block/part? it'd be very usefull because im building a large ship and now i gotta make it fly but.. it kinda heavy.

the command issue is with the fant advanced tools mod being active at the same time as this one

using any grav moudles iwth siad mod kills flying i would like a settign where i can set creations to e.g 5 grav but it not effect players so we cna fly normaly

Apologies, I’ve resolved the issue. A full restart of Steam did the trick—it seems the Workshop didn’t want to update the mod without restarting.

@djcarroll2015 The only things that can be resized properly are blocks, blocks basically collect themselves in 3d space instead of a bunch of 1x1x1 blocks so there can be less shapes in a creation. Blocks can be re-scaled by modifying the "bounds" attribute when you select one, but parts are a fixed size.

Is there a way to select an item from a mod (Legend mod, for example) and resize it? I need to resize a part from 1x5 to 1x3, but have not been been able to do it. Do you have any advice on how to go about it?

Hello there! I had an idea recently that there should be a budget calculator mod for the game so that when we race who can build the best tank for example we don't have to worry about someone building a giant tank or using too many cannons and this could open up a possibility for building competitions without banishing specific items (for example: thrusters).
I wrote a python code for it, but no-one thinks it's user-friendly since you have to manually select the blueprint and you also have to run the file every time you want to check the budget.
I think that making a tool like yours, simplifying it and selecting the whole creation to scan thru it and calculate the price would be perfect. But Unfortunately I don't have enough free time to analyse your code and make my own (also I don't think it would be the most ethical way to make it). So I would like to ask for some help.

@●•٠·>|<eka·٠•● The tool will only lag when selecting a very large amount of things, this is unavoidable because of the nature of the computation needed, about the hud, this isn't what causes the lag, to reduce lag, you can press "Q" and disable creation backups, which is usually the main source

The tool lags a lot when selecting multiple interactive blocks. I think this is because of the “ears” on the sides, which also block the view. Maybe add the ability to hide the hud on the sides?

its more optimised on smaller creations if i observed it corectly, i no longer know whats going on, im leaving sm for some time

@#06c200 The Monorail Guy The first version actually has a smaller max selection size than the current one, also this version of the tool is actually way more optimised, the old tool used to have 3 - 4 nested loops for searching for shapes, while the new one only has one, also the effects for visualising shapes are greatly improved to the previous one, the UI is something that I am trying to get a nice balance on between functionality and looks, I understand how it can be complex, I have some ideas on how I can simplify it, but I don't understand how this tools performance can be worse when the code is so much more optimised, also a lot of people who are currently using it are saying performance has been greatly improved, could it be something on your end possibly?
