can confirm this does still work as of 1.15.0.2 (Crown) with both Traditional Tenets (Tenets to Doctrine but better) and Catholic Trinity, the loading order being CT, TT, and then this.

Does this make the Insular faith have a better tenet to replace the shitty "Rite" tenet, which does nothing but give Paradox an excuse to make some Christians not explicitly hostile. Idk why they didn't allow you to reflect one ofthe benefits of Catholicism. As they are, Isularism & Mozarabism are just faiths you get stranded in that you should convert away from early game.

Great news, ye Crusader King! Currently (Feb 2025) this mod still works, despite being last updated in 2023. With some caveats.

Where it works: There is a new doctrine option for Head of Faith that is identical to the Rite tenet. This includes the Rite effects such as +5 opinion between all members of faith and -25% cost reduction to creating a new faith.

Where it doesn't: Existing saves. This mod overwrites the *real* Rite tenet at start of game. So for existing saves with Mozarabism and Insularism, you won't be able to de-select it when creating a new faith.

There are also a visual bug, of sorts: the +5 opinion modifier will display as "doctrine_rite_name" in a character's opinion modifiers list. Pretty minor thing, but you'll see it very often if that bothers you.

It does in fact fix the Rite bug.

Does this fix the bug with Rite and Holy Sites? The mod that used to fix that hasn't been updated. -_-

What does this Mod overwrite?

@voodoolillium

Just let the game run for a little bit in the save, it just needs to work its magic.

When I tried loading a save with this mod, it didn't seem to quite work right. Faiths with Rite wound up with 4 tenets (but the Rites one seemed like it wasn't doing anything anymore, I assume because you removed it), but they didn't have the Rites doctrine. When I tried with a fresh new game everything looked ok.

I have a whole lot of mods installed, so maybe there's some weird interaction going on. I guess we'll see if anyone else experiences the same thing.

@Strangequark Alright, cool

Actually, no, hold that though, use this mod below Tenets to Doctrines

@VoodooLilium As far as I know, load order re: Tenets to Doctrines shouldn't matter. And it should be save compatible because it uses the same type of game start on-action trick that Tenets to Doctrines uses.

Oh dang, this is great. I'm glad you made it compatible with Tenets to Doctrines too! Should it come after Tenets to Doctrines in the load order?

Also, does this require a new save, or is it save game compatible?
