Finally solved this one, though not without embarrassing myself as my attempt at putting the last small sequence together was a textbook definition of raw brain damage. So despite me going insane and taking waaaay too long, this puzzle's logical progression is really impressive - the only "downside" is the panel surface next to the laser immediately being neglected after getting the 2nd cube. I wish there was more to that section. But hey, there's a full on remake marathon going on with this thing so who knows what we're getting in the future ;p Thumbs way up!

@Antechamber While it is true that this puzzle is rather challenging, it is not clear to me which steps in the solution you would classify to rely on "obscure mechanics", as I believe the full solution is just pure consistent logic with known element interactions
@skit_inventor Never give up! I'm sure you'll get it eventually, but this puzzle is just very complicated. Impressive already being quite close though :cozycrashfish:

Way too hard, and too hard is eventually a bad thing. Relying on obscure mechanics is cool until you spend a whole hour trying to figure it out without a guide. Not recommended

Been stuck for one and a half hours trying to get the second cube . I was so frustrated that had to watch a part of the solution, and then I became even more frustrated because I was this close to figuring it out by myself. God how I hate this :reonion:
Didn't even attempt to finish the map after that, I just quit out of pure spite. Maybe later tho

The thoughest part was bringing one cube outside of the jail bars. It took me so long to see that you can catch it from there. Also thank you for mentioning Periscoping, I feel humbled :)

Spent about a week of on and off solving and found it substantially harder than the advertised 6/10, though I also think I was just very unlucky. I spent about an hour total trying to get the second cube, as I just did not consider using the funnel and tried to force myself to catch it. Another hour was spent just thinking that I had to get the cube to the other side of the bars by bringing one to the exit first, instead of just... bringing the cube to the other side using the funnel. The many, many misadventures aside, the logic here was exceptionally smooth; it felt as if every element of the map was designed to work against you in turn and trying to bypass (in an intended way!) those was very satisfying. Thumbs up and added to favourites. :steamthumbsup:

Great map! It took me a while to see that the reflection cubes could be brought to the area directly outside the jailbars, but once I got that part the rest wasn't too bad. While I was figuring out the very last few moves I thought, "What would Mike want to force next?" which made the moves fairly easy to spot :p

so from the point in the pic i can do a couple things. i can respawn the cubes and take one to the door but that gets me nowhere . i can put a portal behind the bars connecting me to the exit area. this seems like what i should do. but this is where i get stuck. when i say delay the respawning im just saying i cant find a way to block the laser until i get to the exit area. so i can place the cube in a spot that it will hit the respawn activator. ive been trying to somehow place the cube that is in the middle section in a way that i can either block the beam close to the fizzle wall or bring it back with me on the moveable platform. i cant find a way for eother senario

I assume what you meant was dido used two,and you just used the orange funnel?Like you used orange to bring the 2nd cube to the other side of the bars?

@jandlml Now I can see the screenshot! That point is definitely huge progress, and you are correct that you want to respawn the cubes and catch one. @可砸 gave you some subtle hints below, I hope that they will be helpful! By the way, the move that dido found that was unintended but became intended was how to get a cube to the other side of the jail bars; my initial method used the orange funnel but his method was nice too and allowed for a more streamlined design, so I went with it :]

By the way,mike,what did diddo do in his unintended solution?Was it something about the rail platform?
@jandlml Not sure if your pictures were set to be visible only to friends,and you were right about the final sequence,but imo it might not require anything for the "delay",just normal portal shoots,nothing about the respawn timing,if that's not what you mean,never mind what I said. :)
Hints(last sequences):
There is no pre-aiming with pure laser,all moves need to go through the portals
You have chances to travel back and forth using laser through portals,in order to adjust the position of both cubes without leaving their areas
if you have already placed a cube to aim for respawning,how would you adjust the another cube?
Don't forget how you came to the middle area,that surface matters!

if you see this pic i am stuck trying to figure out how to delay respawning the cube. i may have the wrong idea. my idea is to set the cubes so i can respawn them when im over near the door so i can catch the one by the stairs and then i can go get the one that spawns behind the bars. but i cant figure out how to delay that from happening until i get to the stairs

Noooo,that's insane!!! I thought the ending was too "obvious" to found out,I almost gave up on the method of respawn ,because I've failed twice time and didn't make any progress,in addition,I recalled Split (Remake),that one was just bring them to the exit,so I went through a lot of mental work,fortunately I found that tricky and tough way in the end,very nice design,thumbs up with tears!:IMCRYING:

Great map! I had a couple of false assumptions that made the solving process considerably harder, and it took way to long to solve overall, but I definitely enjoyed the logic. At first, I did "carefully hold a laser cube inside the funnel to redirect the laser" in my solution, and had to find another way later. It's a bit of tough one, because it's not a move I would usually consider unintended. But yeah, no idea how you could prevent it unfortunately

Oh well...that was what I mentioned last time,the first half of the video I thought was intended,the rest part I believed was not intended.:steamsad:

And what i manage now is that take them all to the bar area or one in the bar area and one in the exit area. I'm not sure if I'm on the right track,or i overlooked something:steamfacepalm:

It was to be assumed that we have to respawn the cubes , in the exit area is everything prepared for it. But getting th that point demanded some thoughts :steamthumbsup:

Yes,I have thought about the intended way before,but I have no idea with the laser relay now, it seems so evil lol, I can bring them out with a clean way this time,but not sure if I should put them together,If they don't need to be together, then they are on both sides of the fizzler,but i don't think it helps get further after updating,so they seem to need to stay together? I will try again next time!:bbtcat:

I feel that some steps are a bit odds,probably the insufficient space?Also not sure if it was all intended,but I enjoyed the whole logical layout.:steamthumbsup:
