Mikeastro's Logic Maps

Description
It has been quite some time since my last major release. This is not a puzzle to illustrate a concept, nor is it tied to any of my videos in any way. This puzzle stands firmly on its own.
Here you will find precisely 7 portal surfaces and only 2 short antlines are visible, though in reality, there are 4 connections.

Important information:
The laser catcher respawns both cubes at the same time!
Jail bars allow the player to pass, but cubes do not fit in between.
Carefully holding a laser cube inside the funnel to redirect the laser is unintended. I cannot fix this, so please don't.
Standing on the very narrow aesthetic ledges below the glass panes is unintended.
Carefully grabbing and moving the cube from behind the fizzler is unintended, so don't do it.

This map started as a remake of Periscoping by Mausgeburt, because I had some ideas to compactify the design while keeping many of the most interesting moves.
Their map in turn was a remake of my own puzzle Module, which features one particularly unique move at its core, around which the original puzzle was built.
Mausgeburt's version was quite different from the original, and in turn, this version is quite different from Mausgeburt's. In particular, the unique move has been replaced entirely by more conventional logic. It is what it is :]
Only very mild timing is required, but every move should be easy to execute. Angled lasers through portals, bunnyhopping, glitches, etc. are all unintended and not part of the solution.
Some ideas may remind the player of this map, which in turn was a remake of this map.
Finally, Leo remade this puzzle so better check that out too by clicking here!
I hope that you will enjoy solving this puzzle!

Difficulty: 6/10.
Please let me know if you think you did anything unintended.

Special thanks to DiDoKiller for playtesting and great advice. One of his ideas lead to a great design improvement, and one of his unintended solutions became intended.
My gratitude also extends to Libbybapa for making his jail bars package publicly available.

In other news: My puzzle game Sokoban: The RPG has been released on steam! Please consider checking it out!

That ending sequence was brutal

Finally solved this one, though not without embarrassing myself as my attempt at putting the last small sequence together was a textbook definition of raw brain damage. So despite me going insane and taking waaaay too long, this puzzle's logical progression is really impressive - the only "downside" is the panel surface next to the laser immediately being neglected after getting the 2nd cube. I wish there was more to that section. But hey, there's a full on remake marathon going on with this thing so who knows what we're getting in the future ;p Thumbs way up!

@Antechamber While it is true that this puzzle is rather challenging, it is not clear to me which steps in the solution you would classify to rely on "obscure mechanics", as I believe the full solution is just pure consistent logic with known element interactions
@skit_inventor Never give up! I'm sure you'll get it eventually, but this puzzle is just very complicated. Impressive already being quite close though :cozycrashfish:

Way too hard, and too hard is eventually a bad thing. Relying on obscure mechanics is cool until you spend a whole hour trying to figure it out without a guide. Not recommended

Been stuck for one and a half hours trying to get the second cube . I was so frustrated that had to watch a part of the solution, and then I became even more frustrated because I was this close to figuring it out by myself. God how I hate this :reonion:
Didn't even attempt to finish the map after that, I just quit out of pure spite. Maybe later tho

whoa, very nice map, the logic is impeccable :brownchicken:
The thoughest part was bringing one cube outside of the jail bars. It took me so long to see that you can catch it from there. Also thank you for mentioning Periscoping, I feel humbled :)

@Cosin3~ /A/ Thanks for the video! Indeed, I knew of this annoying bug, but it is typically understood that these things are never part of the intended solution :]

@Oblivious Owl Thanks a lot for playing! Impressive work figuring out the final moves quickly; I think there's quite a few subtleties there :]
@Dolphiner Admirable determination! Great work solving it in the end, even thoughit did not come easy. Very happy to hear that you appreciate everything in the end though :D

Spent about a week of on and off solving and found it substantially harder than the advertised 6/10, though I also think I was just very unlucky. I spent about an hour total trying to get the second cube, as I just did not consider using the funnel and tried to force myself to catch it. Another hour was spent just thinking that I had to get the cube to the other side of the bars by bringing one to the exit first, instead of just... bringing the cube to the other side using the funnel. The many, many misadventures aside, the logic here was exceptionally smooth; it felt as if every element of the map was designed to work against you in turn and trying to bypass (in an intended way!) those was very satisfying. Thumbs up and added to favourites.

Great map! It took me a while to see that the reflection cubes could be brought to the area directly outside the jailbars, but once I got that part the rest wasn't too bad. While I was figuring out the very last few moves I thought, "What would Mike want to force next?" which made the moves fairly easy to spot :p
