@Hari Seldon Hey! It does. Probably.

Hello, does this mod works with other mods like "D4 Overhaul & Expansion" or "Democracy 4+"? Thanks a lot.
rafalsitar 16 Feb @ 1:33pm
you either made the GDP waaaay too easy to increase or I should go study. Anyone else also experiencing this?
geekman123 21 Dec, 2024 @ 5:32pm
I'm getting an error "Unknown operate in equation source" when using this mod. Any one else get this?
play2win 19 Dec, 2024 @ 5:34pm
Best mod ever I love it
Queen Victoria's Top Guy 16 Nov, 2024 @ 10:35pm
Honestly greatest mod in the workshop next to the big D4 Overhaul. Do you have any plans to get back to it and expand it further? Perhaps more tax related stuff that meshes with everything?

Hey @Amsey07! I'm a History student in Brazil and a lot of inspiration came when I was reading Guido Mantega's "Economia Política Brasileira" (Brazilian Economic Politics) in my Economic History class. It's a fantastic compendium of theory and historical policy from an economist that would become a developmentalism finance minister over here. This is mostly for the capital flows and the IDL mechanics, which are very central to the mod; and for these I drew also from Gunther Frank's Capitalism and Underdevelopment in Latin America. I'm very interested in the field of study of industrial economics and picked up various sources over the years to build into what basically grew into my worldview but I'd say these two books are what the mod orbits around.

Hey just want to say I absolutely love this mod, keep up the good work
Amsey07 17 Oct, 2024 @ 11:03pm
I'm a political science and economics student and I find this mod utterly fascinating, with the mods content getting at alot of somewhat hinted at concepts and themes that are not fully elucidated by most popular as well as academic economists. I think the authors take on the IDL, capital flows, "real vs illusory economic activity and their determinants" as expressed through the crafted situations is a really cool (and fairly reflective of reality), and has served me once or twice in real world conversations as a frame of mind to think through. Mod author, if you're out there, tell me some of your detailed academic inspiration for this mod, I would love to pick your brain.
Plexus 11 Feb, 2024 @ 8:58am
I still love this mod.
• I think the Mars Program should affect the tech industry like the Space Program does
• Rare Earth Extraction should assist the Extraction Industry
• Climate Warning System also ought to bump the Tech Industry
• I'd love to see this mod fix the Luddite Riots because the devs won't.

I like the new Industries but i dont understand, why those do not lower your unemployment. Is there a reason for this or is this an oversigth?
VFacure  [author] 7 Jan, 2024 @ 8:59am
@KONGV0 Thank you!
KONGV0 6 Jan, 2024 @ 11:48pm
@VFacure, Hi. I really like your mod since it fulfill the content of the dull original. So I've made a Chinese Translation of your VF's IE mod.
Here's link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3133702006
I wish u can use it as Chinese Translation of your mod, which will be my pleasure.
Happy New Year!

In the Urban remodeling program why does adjusting the slider to the left upsets conservatives and middle income? the issue is on whether or not city planning should emphasize walkable or car-centric designs.
Tyralieus 6 Nov, 2023 @ 5:31pm
Love the additions, Just wanna suggest cooperative industries being added into the game as a sort of middle ground to private ownership and complete nationalization.
VFacure  [author] 4 Nov, 2023 @ 9:50pm
@Plexus Hey, I loved your suggestions! Seems like you really got the gist of the mod. I'll try implementing them in the next couple of weeks.

@riderz I really was wondering how I could move the player towards either Liberal or Protectionist Industrialization and besides the subsidies and tax cuts and price controls (to leverage the Market Distortion Index) could really seal the deal. since the meta is currently emulating Ordoliberal policies. Come to think of it, the main difference between China and Argentina is that China has the explosive GDP growth to sustain such a distorted market, while Argentina has pretty much stagnated economically. Maybe I could implement make price controls and other leftist economic gizmos, then make them increase MDI but create other ways to lower MDI, such as making GDP and Population lower MDI and implementing a decent Interest Rate mechanic. Something to think about in my spare time.
Plexus 2 Nov, 2023 @ 12:21pm
May I also suggest that Food Stamps contribute to Agricultural Economy, considering it assures the purchase of produce?

Another point in this amazing mod is that the added policies have a huge impact on causing the bureaucracy situation.

Barring rebalancing, I might suggest that high industrial automation and technological sovereignty combined with robotics grants and tech grants may contribute to a high inertia situation such as AI-Assisted Administration, which reflects the use of automation to cut through government paperwork and deliberation to enable faster civil services. That might be more fun.
Plexus 28 Oct, 2023 @ 3:04pm
I love this mod it's so cool, it's so awesome.

What I will say is there's so much here now that Cultural Industries are begging to be explored. A low-crime, good environment nation that does:
• Depaving urban remodelling
• Active collectivisation agriarian reform
• Opera house art subsidies
• Egalitarian society
• Endangered species
• All with legalized sex work, narcotics and gambling is a tourist' dream

You pair all that with real cultural concepts like support for the film industry, as well as a real policy specifically for the Consumer Goods Industry like Highstreet Tax Levies would create a place that would dominate the tourism industry and have a significant economic effect.

An example of preferential consumer policy displayed in a deplorably British context here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/thousands-of-small-shops-across-the-country-getting-new-tax-breaks
riderz 26 Oct, 2023 @ 5:27pm
more monetary related policies would be awesome, not many mods add those, things like price controls which would lower inflation and please socialists but reduce foreign investments and business confidence, and overall more money printing measures to make it go brrr

more left-wing populist policies like different state-owned enterprises and plenty of subsidies

obv im not a leftist but i find these fun to rp as an average argentinian politician
VFacure  [author] 21 Oct, 2023 @ 10:57am
I hadn't thought of it like that but the Zapatista movement is a prime example of what I meant with Organized Crime increasing with bad land distribution. The Phillipines and India have Maoist paramilitary organizations with the same purpose too.
VFacure  [author] 21 Oct, 2023 @ 10:54am
The second stance is what I meant, yes. The first one not so much. Organized Crime should be reflecting the militias that form to challenge landowners and are manned by small farmers that are screwed by irregular land distribution. Brazil has the MST (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landless_Workers%27_Movement) , but most latin american and asian nations that favour landowners have a few of these militias. Peru's land-reform militias were very sucessfull in helping former President's Castillo's power bid, for example. The point is showing that rural crime happens anyway, and It's more organized as the land model is more verticalized.

I guess defrontation would mean "border confrontation"? As in when a border meets another border. No such word in English I'd guess.
Tundra C. 19 Oct, 2023 @ 7:21pm
So basically , its about the effects of private armies fielded by landowners in their haciendas that carry out extra legal means if land reform favors large properties.

When it's the other way around, this violence is perpetrated by the inhabitants of those land due to jealously guarding even the smallest bit of land they have.

am i wrong about this^? Please let me know.

I searched for the word "defrontation" and google suggeted it that i mean "deforestation" and i got articles about deforestation in Brazil.
VFacure  [author] 19 Oct, 2023 @ 10:08am
@Tundra C. This is supposed to relate to ownership-related rural crime. My justification for it is that a legal model favouring large properties incentives the institution of extra-legal land reform organizations that partake in violence (such as MST in Brazil, which is my main driving example) which would be organized crime while legal models favouring small properties solve that problem but increase the sheer amount of defrontations between neighbours by increasing total rural population and decreasing average farm size, which increases instances of defrontation-related murders and general violence over small claims, something that's very common in the american deep south, for example.
Tundra C. 18 Oct, 2023 @ 5:16am
How does agrarian reform laws affect organized crime?
VFacure  [author] 17 Oct, 2023 @ 5:41pm
Updated!
VFacure  [author] 17 Oct, 2023 @ 5:13pm
@riderz Infraestructural Profusion was giving triple the happiness it was supposed to. Oopsie! I've also tweaked some TWE values so I think it's fixed for good.
VFacure  [author] 17 Oct, 2023 @ 4:23pm
@Dáire Thanks!

@riderz I wonder the same thing myself. I'm pretty sure all my simvalues harm popularity at 0% and gradually less until they do no harm but don't do any good at 100%. Tax-Welfare Equity is a great example of that. Maybe it's IDL Standing increasing income, and that might increase happiness under the rug? Something to ponder.
riderz 16 Oct, 2023 @ 6:04pm
cool mod, pretty realistic and makes taxes actually hurtful to some degree, idk why but i find i always start my games with like 80% approval with this mod on
Blessèd 31 Aug, 2023 @ 11:18pm
I love how you implemented a turnover tax. It's something I've wanted forever in the game and even tried to make, but you did an amazing job overall with this mod. Definately one of my favorites.

It work well now, no problem.
omoureau76 3 Aug, 2023 @ 4:27pm
It doesn't show up in the mods for me, is it a bug ?
Zozie 28 Jul, 2023 @ 8:42am
Merci !
AleXxito 18 Jul, 2023 @ 4:47am
Thanks!
VFacure  [author] 17 Jul, 2023 @ 10:02pm
@AleXxito To further address this, it has been solved that this was actually breaking Corporate Tax, so it should be fixed now.
VFacure  [author] 16 Jul, 2023 @ 12:03pm
@AleXxito It adds a lot of income sources to compensate and the reason for the deficit is the Foreign Equities Acquisiton policy which costs 2 PP to set to zero at game start. Also, setting it to zero increases inflation which increases trade balance, which means emergency-state economies are easier to deal with now.
AleXxito 16 Jul, 2023 @ 4:07am
This mod creates a big deficit in all countries and it makes Spain start in an emergency state, hopefully it will be solved
Atterdag 15 Jul, 2023 @ 8:40pm
Cool and interesting mod, what's the future plans for the current mod pack?
AlmanDorf 11 Jul, 2023 @ 9:40pm
Good to hear that, thanks for the fast response
VFacure  [author] 11 Jul, 2023 @ 8:50pm
@GermanEistee Yes! It works fine, since I tried to make this mod interact with as much sim values and policies in vanilla as possible. It doesn't work too well with D4 in my opinion because it also adds a lot of public opinion debuffs and I did the same with IDL and Services Participation.
AlmanDorf 11 Jul, 2023 @ 8:32pm
Very cool and much needed mod! A modpack would be nice, can you play this with Democracy 4+ and/or the PARAdoxiBLE mod collection, considering that it affects the base game?
cwdemopoli 10 Jul, 2023 @ 11:26pm
Thank you for the hard work you put into this. Wishing you all the luck and blessings moving forward!
nafak 10 Jul, 2023 @ 7:52am
Been waiting for something like this
Zander 9 Jul, 2023 @ 11:54am
Very cool Mod, I think Industries should be into split there state and private variance to match the main game :Cadet_hoi:
