You should start with a few heroes and have options to gain others, similar to progressive gc.

How do I access heros in the FTGU Galactic Conquest? Other factions seem to have them but I cant figure out how to acess mine.

is it possible to add clone officers such as howzer wilco and mayday im want to a have like howzer be on ryloth and wilco be on sereno and maydya be soemwhere cold since idk the planet they he was on and mayne if it is possible could you add the bad batch

@maximilian1994 The closest might be Commander Deviss, who has red armor markings. You get him after Commander Bly dies (or advanced option), but he is still part of the yellow 327th legion.

I think there's one Hutt hero missing, Tanda the Hutt from the Rimward historical GC. He doesn't show in the Hutts' roster for the sandbox gcs

@Köstlich Download the workshop files with SteamCMD. Merge or overwrite the Data folders into a single folder to run.

I heard most of the workshop mods only work on the Steam version because of the official patches. It happens to be 65% off right now.

He should be in the ground leaders category in the story tab. He doesn't participate in battles.

Yeah, it was a crash to desktop with no error message. The save is older then the last hotfix for FotR but that update didn't cause any issues. It started crashing only after your update. It seems to work now after you reverted it, so thank you. :GalacticEmpire:

It seems the last update is not save compatible. I was able to play yesterday but today after loading my save the game crashes after couple of minutes no matter what I do.

largest map in customs not tried smaller maps so maybe its only on the 168 planet map? brand new game and they get yeeted out after everything gets loaded in. everyone else stays in thought just those 3 individually

so i found a work around. if i use the combined characters obi/ani and ani/ash separate then rehire them by their selves they stay, but loading in with all three individually they get removed.

obi wan ashoka and anakin keep getting removed from my selection. i loaded base fotr and they stayed, unsub and resub to mod and they still get removed + verifying the file.

If Coruscant is not owned, they will spawn at a random planet that you own (Chandrila in this case). It will default to another list if the file contains a syntax error (missing commas, brackets, or quotation marks). I just validated that the example does work to spawn the 4 CIS heroes spawn on Chandrila.
For Era 5, you should edit FTGU_EraFiveStartSet.lua and double check the syntax is consistent.

I'm having issues now where it just spawns the starter heroes of the current faction instead of the ones I put. I put the code exactly how you did but my starter planet for FTGU is Chandrila not coruscant does that make a difference in the code? also do I just run it off infinite FTGU GC or the sandbox version GC

gotcha yeah the clone fighter squads like oddball and stuff though I'm putting them on the map Squadron seems to be working for space but I'll check out those as well thank you

_Squadron might work to spawn them on the map. Note that the fighter system is completely different. The proper way is to edit [1] and [2], but don't bother if you can spawn them instead (way easier).

figured it out thank you but one more thing for fighter squads do I do _Squadron at the end or just the squad name for example do I put Nas_Ghent or Nas_Ghent_Squadron

Each hero unit name needs to be entered manually. Use the "team" variant for ground heroes. Here is an example where the Republic gets 4 CIS heroes, and the CIS gets 5 Republic heroes, which should work if you copy paste it. Just expand on the list to add more, and don't forget the commas.

Another way is to change the era specific lists of starting heroes. The ones for FTGU are at [1] and the ones for progressive GC are at [2]. Add XML names in those lists to spawn the heroes you want per faction. "Empire" is Republic and "Rebel" is CIS.

yeah I tried that but I like to play in single planet mode and every time I choose my settings in the setup it glitches out the heroes and gives me like 8 planets idk how to fix it. Is there some way to do it through the XML files?

@Hauntngs That might be possible to setup in Custom GC. While it's targeted to advanced users, almost anything in the setup can be customized to make your dream GC scenario.

@david Perhaps it was related to the most recent FotR update that had to be merged.

looks like you did update it? but what is with the bug (idk if only i had it ) that after week 20 or 25 all of my units and heros was reset an the game was normal just without the mod

Nice, sounds like it's working.
My heroes do respawn when killed even if they are not on the upper right part of the screen with the timer, just needed to wait a cycle or two for most to pop back up

The FotR version uses a different technique compared to the TR version and does not have the same options. Test if any respawn after 10 cycles.
I was using this mod and it did not let me set the heroes to respawn (i used the compatibility steam mod list you provided and added the go through shields for bombs mod too). If it matters I was playing as the Hutts and did not see the sandbox option is what i am meaning
