I really like the idea of dynamic tribes that expand and warfare that changes the map - but I agree, it should probably have a weighted randomized timing - too much too quick should then experience longer peace - not more than say a dozen changes per year averaged on a world map. Really only works with multiple factions expanding

Unfortunately I keep getting the red error messages :(
Is anybody else having this still? I tried this DL through steam and your LL download but both give me those 4 red lines on startup. Can these just be ignored?

30th of May 2025, reporting from the fields: totally love the idea, BUT even with disabled spread setting this stuff keep spreading like cancer (Wish I was building 40 members strong colonies THAT fast...) and I personally don't mind it, more stuff to raid, but they keep taking over my allies! To whom am I supposed to sell all these wounderfull organs and slaves?
Love the mod, but it breaks whole purpose of Rimworld. It's not a warcrime if it is not profitable.

@A homeless orphan Yes they can be ignored. I think I duplicated the trader in an XML file somewhere. It's only a warning. I will see if I can fix this and upload a revised variation soon.

@Xanthiras - I tried to replicate this a moment ago but the switch correctly worked for me... Puzzling.
@Campin Carl - I just uploaded a fix for that & Amazons should visit player colonies now
@Artaon Probably not - I'd recommend - Rimsential Total Control Continued
@win-trojan I imagine it will work in conjunction with RimWar but the Amazons won't hold back.

Tried this mod but Amazons kept taking over bases on the map even with that option (as well as their creating new bases) disabled in mod settings. They also did it quite fast too, half of the bases on world map were amazons a couple weeks after game start.

Is this mod compatible with custom xenotypes? I've tried xenotype spawn editor and total control to get some variety for the amazons but they only spawn as baseliners. Is that intended?

Looks good, but I wonder about compatibility with RimWar because some mechanics looks similar(like spawning settlemts) and that potentially may lead to conflicts. Are someone tried to use these mods together?

@ZX Zero At present they mostly utilise bows, battons, axes and maces in combat. They have some bionics but mostly bionics ears and spines. I would describe them as tribal but they possess the capability to use poisons/neurotoxins. The mod is still undergoing some changes.

I'm in the process of adding new melee weapons and removing the bionics implants all together.

So this faction is tribal, industrial or ultratec? if i use a tech limiter they will normally spaw without the bionics?

As for titles maybe not as extensive as the empire, could be something like kinswoman -> warrior -> huntress -> Amazon or something like that if you want to make the titles more of an acceptance to the amazon culture instead of royalty

Sorry for the late answer but some permits that could be added would first be the basic ones: military help (as far as I know there are not a lot of "ranks" of fighters in this mod but you could maybe choose the quality of the material of weapons and armor, like the lowest rank help uses wooden bows and plain leather armor while the highest could use the amazon great bow and thrumbo leather armor), the workers would be men slaves that you can work to dead (unlike the workers from the empire and to balance it as to not make them free permanent workers they actually expect you to work them to death and will reduce goodwill if they stay alive for too long) and if you add more items maybe make them only obtainable through permits?

Okay it seems to be a incompatibility with the hermaphrodite gene mod. I went through and turned every single male character female reset the Amazon to have a neutral affinity and then I started losing affinity again.

Okay so I'm not quite sure what's going on I have one male in my colony and it is set to if there is more than two they start getting unhappy. But I'm just losing allied points with them. I'm not entirely sure but I think I have a theory as to why this is happening.

1. I have a gene mod installed that adds a hermaphrodite gene. Most if not all of my pawn have this Gene. If this is the issue then that means that mod has a compatibility issue with the Amazon.

2. I have more than probably eight males in an outpost sending me resource. If this is the case then it means it still detects them despite the fact they're technically removed from the game.

I will have a better idea on what's causing this if that Outpost gets attacked or if I get the chance to get on and pull them out and replace them with women. But for now that's all the information I have.

I get an error relating to night vision goggles when I have this activated - do Amazons have those? Or do I need to go digging for a mod conflict to track this one?

@Sera - I have added several new scalar mod options and Amazon tribes will now gradually become hostile to the player colony if they have a variable maximum threshold of males in the colony. And possessing more than 2 females will result in the Amazon tribes beginning to befriend the player colony. Prisoners are not included.

The interval at which the relationship grows or decays is variable and can be set in the Rimworld main menu. Options -> Mod options

The next goal is to overhaul the weapons and debuffs.

@Sera That's a great idea, I was attempting to make the Amazon faction friendly if your settlement is composed of females or has a female leader. I'll see if I can update the mod.

cool but I always use female pawn. Why would they be attacking me? because competition? then why are they not trying as hard to kill me? makes more since to have 2 factions. amazon and barbarian. both are powerful but your leader changes your ally. a female leader means amazon are 100% your ally no questions asked but the barbarian hate you full stop. Male leader means the barbarian are your ally no questions asked but the amazon hate you without question.

Love the idea, but it would really benefit from a scaling option IMO. Four colonists plus one child vs 31 Amazons on a low tech medieval run? The only chance would be traps everywhere and I don't enjoy killboxes. I'll keep it in mind, but not when low tech.

So I like this idea but the default hostile is odd. more so to my colony of only females. Maybe if possible make it so every female you have is a plus 5 gain every male is -5 gain (unless slave they they are +5). if your leader is female it's +20 if your leader is male its -40. This way it's less they are really just savage bandits for the sake of savage bandit and is more of the group of female supremacists.

@FrankenApple - Thanks for reporting those issues

I've just corrected those bugs and updated the mod. The Amazons should now appear wearing some dark green clothing. I might need to give them a bit more cash for apparel.

Furthermore, only base liners should spawn in future raids. But modded races can still appear unless altered with external mods.

There is a bug thread now too.

Still a lot more testing required...

Something weird is going on with the faction. I booted up a test map and generated a raid from them. They're all naked, weaponless cyborgs of both genders, and there's a bunch of neanderthals and genies in the mix even though hovering over the faction says that they're supposed to be 100% baseliners.
