I've got an update, hoping it helps you or those who want to have a leaner experience (i am back at 100+ FPS). I pinpointed that the increased lag, especially in early game was due to too many fleets and ships
I removed the following mods:
AI War Jobs: adds 2/5 fleets per empire
Faction Support fleet Spawn by Inhabited Planets: add a fleet per inhabithed planet (i guess that's a bunch)
More AI economy ships: adds hundred of ships traveling around
NPC invasion tweaks: Removed it because it has some incompatibilities with faction enhancer War module mod
Uncharted skies like i mentioned before but maybe that one actually had not that much impact
Lastly i found that the bailout mod is upb Bail and you can configure details in options to avoid so many free ships everywhere.
That's it, thanks again for the awesome collection
I believe the thing that costs the most is also the insane amount of wrecks my miners and explorers seem to find all day long, like about one every 30 seconds. Do you know if any of your collection mods is making way more claimable ships or more wrecks ?
Thanks for your question, and I do appreciate you giving my pack a shot.
So you and I have similar rigs. The main difference is you have more memory than I. With that said, I get similar fps, around 40.
It's just the nature of having a large pack. It should remain at around 40 for the duration of the game.
Charlie isn't real (CIR) is one of the largest packs for x4. If you wish to have fps around 100 with CIR, it will take some effort to knock down some of the mods to get it where you want it. Ships and sector mods add to the strain. If this is a no go for you, I'd highly recommend the pup pack and work your way up with adding more and see how it goes. The pup pack is CIR without the ships and systems.
I am planing on another optimization round after the beta release candidate is finally released.
It's probably overdue.
Thanks again for contacting me with your concerns, I will of course be willing to help further, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Great collection, thanks for curating it. Really looking forward to playing more, however i have quite some performance issues with the FPS dropping as low as 40 while usually i run at 100+.
Only got this collection, no optional mods.
CPU: 12900k, GPU:4090, RAM: 128Go
Any idea of a mod that could be the culprit ?
