MOD PACK PERFORMANCE STATUS:

8.0 beta - Currently this pack is NOT compatible with diplomacy 8.0 beta. I will work on compatibility concerns the closer we get to 8.0 launch. If you wish to participate in the beta, you should not subscribe to this pack as of yet.


Installation Instructions:
1) Remove ALL mods that you are currently subscribed to in the workshop.

2) Subscribe and download this mod pack.

3) (optional) download and install UI Extensions and HUD at Nexus. Highly recommended, will solve some issues not yet fixed with workshop mods

4) Go blow stuff up (responsibly, of course). Charlie would probably be into that. (However, I think charlie is a dog. Or was, or never was. No clue bud, lets move on.)

About Mod Pack:
This pack contains more Sectors, ships and other surprises that you will find in time. It's designed for both entrepreneurial and combat focused players alike. Sectors with populated worlds have a dedicated defense fleet. Should be more protected against a possible Xenon offensive. Thanks to a number of mods, the AI is smarter, makes better choices with fighting and load outs. Fighters also can make a difference as well. large fighter formations can prove to be problematic and can overwhelm even the best protected capital ships.

If you wish to add to the experience, you can head over to the optional mods tab and add some sectors or whatever you like. All the mods in that section have been tested and work well with this pack.

This is a beefy mod pack. You should have a good rig to play it. Be sure to unsubscribe from all mods before subscribing to this mod pack. Feel free to get rid of what you don't like. Just make sure you know what you are doing. This mod pack is designed for long plays by keeping performance in mind while increasing quantity and quality of modded ships.

The design concept behind this pack is not to cram this pack full of whatever mods i find is cool, but rather, mods that can complement each other and work together (and not against each other). The goal is to make a world larger and more immersive for us, the players of this fantastic game. the goal is to have it run smooth as ice on as many rigs as possible.

Please follow instructions listed on the update log to make sure your game runs properly. If you run into issues, please come back and check the update log. This pack is updated frequently and should you find the issue in the update log, instructions will follow on how to fix it. Please report any issues you are having in the discussions tab. Even if you don't know what is causing it, I'll help once i see your message.



Non-VRO Mod Pack:
If you use this mod pack, don't add VRO mods to it. No VRO version exists. Just my personal preference. VRO has a rebalance formula that just doesn't make sense to me. In my mod pack, the fighters still make a difference and capital ships are better. This will make for some serious epic battles. If you add VRO mods, the ships will be very unbalanced (like my mental state).

Performance Benchmark guide:

Assuming you have a relatively recent and decent CPU and graphics card, this is a basic 'blanket' guide on what to do depending on the memory of your computer:

32 gigs of ram and above:

Enjoy! You should be fine. Regardless. long term games will suffer with some performance issues. Depending on your other specs tho, you should be fine with only making small adjustments to settings in the long run.

16-32 gigs

You should be fine for most of your game (depending on your play style). The longer the game goes and the more ships that populate the world, you may need to start adjusting your settings. Keep a realistic idea on how you want your game to run while keeping the limitations of your computer in mind.

8 up to 16 gigs
Use the Pup version instead.

The Pup mod does not contain all of the modded ships and modded systems as the parent pack. You can add what you wish, just be careful not to add too much, as your computer may struggle. The two mod packs are identical except for the missing ships and systems. The thrill of Charlie isn't real mod pack still awaits you once you start in the Pup pack.
