I don't recall if frames will get damaged, I don't believe so but I could probably make it an option. I could also add options for the rest of the things you mention but I'm not sure if it should be enabled by default as I think it will be tedious for many if something was breaking every half second somewhere on a larger base :p
But when I get some time to look into things I'll definitely see to adding more options so people can play the way they want to

What about other structures like Frames (iron and steel) as well as furniture, exposed wiring, etc? Do they take damage, and if so can their damage chance be controlled?

Another thing I can mention as I'm not sure how commonly known it is, the mod does work with double walls. So if you put walls on both the inside and outside of the wall structure it will only damage the outer wall until that one breaks before starting to damage the inner wall. So using double walls can add an extra layer of security to avoid breaches from storm damage :D

As to your first questions regarding separation of settings I will have to do some more research into how to detect those kinds of differences as I am currently checking on prefab name which is shared by many different types and doesn't (always) include metadata such as the material (iron, steel, composite, etc)
For the same reason there is currently no difference for shuttered windows if they're closed or not.

Regarding blast doors and different types of walls and doors I do believe they too have different damage values so inherently blast doors will survive longer than normal doors even with the same damage chance.

But I will investigate further to see if I can separate the settings further

So all in all the numbers, unfortunately, do not translate to anything specific. The damage is based on a random check and the numbers in the configuration file is basically the maximum range of the random check. So it's basically the chance of pulling a 0 from 0 and up to the configured number.

This also means that if you happen to be really unlucky you could theoretically, albeit improbably, have some items last much shorter than others. This also goes the other way of course.

So in essence, higher number means lower chance to take a hit and vice versa.

The default damage chance is 10 but the amount of damage they take on each hit is different from item to item so even though the chance is the same the time they will survive may be different

In the wall damage, is there any way you can separate the settings for iron and steel wall damage? Also would it be possible to have separate categories to blast doors and regular doors? And would it be possible to add a setting for foundation damage?

Also, a few questions: What to the numbers in the cfg mean. Like what % does 600 vs 40 actually translate to? Also do shuttered windows behave differently than regular windows or open shutter windows?

I think this storm mod finally gives practical purpose to the shutter window. Gonna love programming my IC to slam those shutters shut while blaring STORM INCOMING ring ring and an obnoxious amount of strobe lights

our Europa playthrough is gonna be fun (default values are deadly, my values are suicide >:)

im trying to use BepInEx to install this onto a dedicated server. should the GameData folder with the dont.remove file be blank and no config.json? i cant find an option to use it. when the server boots BepInEx says that it's filtered out (rocketstation.exe)

You could always recycle the damaged stuff and make new ones :D

It should work on any planet that has storms although personally I only tested the balancing on mars so I don't have data on how it plays on other planets. I believe with just this mod the experience should be pretty much the same on any planet with storms as it doesn't distinguish between type of storm.
It should effect most things that makes sense, it will not damage frames though

The issue was Configuration Manager, had to unsubscribe from that and the mods seem to work!

I've been trying to set up the "modpack" I'd like to do my next run with, wanted to use all 3 in your Deadly Collection, but all of them throws a lot of errors and crashes the session for me. Tried all 3 3 of them by itself, both under and above Core without any other mods. StationeersMods should be working. Any ideas?

Hi there, I see an issue with the change you made to drop the items on all inventories. When I die and respawn on a temporary suit I'm not able to see the tanks or batteries of it, but if I drop that suit on the ground and wait.. the suit despawns and all those tanks and batteries are left behind. The idea to have the harder respawn is to not have free stuff coming from respawn suits

Alright, I updated it to effect all inventories, if there are any issues I'll see if I need to be more selective of which items it should be enabled for but I don't see any immediate issues with this approach

Yea, I don't know if I should change default behavior.
I guess I can make a configuration for that as well and have it be false by default. Then people can choose if they want ALL inventories to drop their contents when broken.

Its just disabled for Lander by default, so all crates will disappear.

It's added. Worn items will now drop inventory items when destroyed. It's on by default but can be toggled off in config

I do plan to make contents drop when destruction happens but it will require some more tinkering :D

May also add switch, will content drop upon destruction or not.
