Great Mod!
The one thing I wanted to say though, it that while the Offer, Request, and Offer/Request Truce concubine seem to work as expected, it seems that I am unable to elevate concubines if they were previously married. In addition, I do not see an option to legitimize the children of concubines, even ones that I have the option to elevate, though I think this probably has to do with my religion having the "No Bastards" doctrine, thus removing the option to legitimize.
Neil 3 Jun @ 8:25pm
Seconding Sledjer recommendation. Notepad++'s "replace in files" function makes this easy and really helps with compatablity.
AffordableHostage 30 May @ 1:09am
How should this mod be placed, first or last of the mod list? Is it found to be incompatible with certain mods?
Sledjer 16 May @ 10:35pm
Hey is there a chance you could replace the doctrine/tradition triggers for your interactions to instead use the allowed_concubines trigger? That would allow more compatibility with mods that change or add relevant doctrines.
WTID 9 May @ 11:35am
clearly you are not playing as nomad think your mod broke something like i cant have concubine
HeirandtheSpare 8 May @ 8:40am
Thank you for the update! I love this mod!
Wumeng 7 May @ 11:43pm
update please
ACE  [author] 12 Apr @ 5:55am
@SwiftUmbra It should say why, unless you don't even pass the basic requirements (both your religion and the recipient's have to allow concubinage). That said, I'm not sure that has anything to do with my mod, as I haven't touched the vanilla offer_concubine interaction.
SwiftUmbra 11 Apr @ 10:12am
Hey so are there requirements to being able to offer concubines? For some reason my character can't offer one but another character in the game can.

Do you plan to update this mod? x2

@Ranger What you use as your inspiration is none of my business, so sure.

@ACE Would it be okay to use some of this code as inspiration for my own mod?

my children have a -30 opinion of me for being children of a concubine despite their mother being my wife. Possible bug from this mod?

+2

Adding to this, my current character wasn't a child of a concubine, nor his children were, yet his children were having this big opinion penalty towards my character (their father).

I noticed I've been getting a lot of random AI asking to take women in my court as concubines or offering women in their courts as my concubines. Is that a recent addition? I don't mind it in theory, but is there any chance you could adjust the frequency? It gets a little spammy
MrHiDie 18 Oct, 2024 @ 1:10pm
For some reason the children of concubines dont show that the concubine is the mother, just the ruler. Also the concubines dont show that they are concubines
Ranger 16 Oct, 2024 @ 1:02pm
@Ace Do the children of concubines get claims on your titles when you do so a bunch of tiny pretenders can cause chaos for you legitimate children after you die? If not they really should as there are instances historically of the children of concubines being pretenders to thrones.

radwilly1 11 Oct, 2024 @ 2:30pm
@ACE this is an awesome mod. I think a feature that would go great with this mod is to remove the "bastard founder" trait that bastards get when they grow up. It's super unrealistic and really annoying.
Sledjer 30 Sep, 2024 @ 4:23pm
Would it be possible to add a find concubine interaction? Something similar to the find spouse interaction that opens up a list of eligible characters who either are in your court or whose liege would accept a request concubine interaction?
Ēarendel 25 Sep, 2024 @ 6:59am
A patch for harem too? Would be nice to see both systems work together. Concubines would then be able to compete on who gets elevated
CrUsHeR 25 Sep, 2024 @ 6:54am
Thanks, good to know.

The mod certainly made concubinage more fun, so you just have the handful of "real" heirs needing titles, but can produce as many dynasty members as you want.

Or just take a concubine because you like her looks. Without jeopardizing your whole succession over it.
ACE  [author] 25 Sep, 2024 @ 6:40am
@CrUsHeR They understand it perfectly fine, they just don't want an heir of the wrong sex, as this mostly just happens in such cases. That said, they'll try to legitimise children who are their friends, as well as elevate concubines who are either their lovers or friends, provided they don't have a better relationship with their spouse.

I realise the above response is probably not what you wanted to hear. What I could do however, is make them more likely to elevate/legitimise in cases where there exists no eligible heir and the spouse is infertile, so I'll do exactly that.
CrUsHeR 24 Sep, 2024 @ 6:07pm
Well, the mod is pretty neat for the human player.

But the AI doesn't seem to understand that it needs to have an heir from a legit wife, or elevate the concubine.

Too many AIs having "game over" when their courtiers or vassals inherit instead of the concubine's children.
Ēarendel 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:00am
Would it be possible to receive a compatibility patch with harem mod? Both offer unique features that I think if combined would make the ultimate system for concubinage. This mod offers unique features for inheritance, while harem mod offers favor and events system, both could play along well.
cuomo860 18 Jul, 2024 @ 11:29am
They are compatched in my Super Compatch... you can pull the needed files from there. The marriage_interactions specifically. The rest should be fine. If not, load LMF after for best results.
BigCoom 18 Jul, 2024 @ 8:47am
@RayRay6Feet6Inches Thus far I haven't been able to get them to work together. I did a repair on my files and replaced the mods entirely but they still would work for me. That is just my experience.
RayRay6Feet6Inches 30 Jun, 2024 @ 2:16pm
@Tyrion Lannister does this mod conflict with LMF or did you find a way around that?
CrusadeExterminator 31 May, 2024 @ 4:38am
great mod
Cripto 28 May, 2024 @ 4:44am
great mod should be made apart of the game, you have make a great improvement on simple but over looked mechanic
BigCoom 27 May, 2024 @ 7:31am
And that's with just this mod and LMF enabled with swapped spots for the order
BigCoom 27 May, 2024 @ 7:21am
this mod seems to be incompatible with love marriage family
CrUsHeR 28 Apr, 2024 @ 6:37pm
Great mod.

One suggestion: Implement the "Take Concubine" mod functionality.
Makes it similar to CK2, where you can request concubines from other courts.

Also it would be nice if there was an option to let prisoners turned to concubines keep their titles? Maybe a decision to choose whether concubines keep titles or not.
Ēarendel 19 Apr, 2024 @ 5:23pm
It is pretty funny, but if you grant your concubine a title and then they have a strong hook on you, you can't dismiss them as a concubine. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Them being able to leave concubinage, since then they would become free to secure their own dynasty interests.
fisto the robo 19 Apr, 2024 @ 3:50am
Nice, implementation of nun concubinage.
i think youre missing clan house modifiers from the newest ck3 patches in some files.
ACE  [author] 18 Apr, 2024 @ 4:00am
@Lord Rizen With the latest update you can now force nuns into concubinage, if their faith is considered hostile or worse.
Lord Rizen 2 Apr, 2024 @ 5:19pm
You could also integrate Nun Concubines. In current vanilla nuns and monks can not be forced into concubinage. Ex. Norse raider captures French nun in raid, and tries to make her a concubine. French nun - The lord says no. French raider - Understood, have a good day.
Jayzee 8 Mar, 2024 @ 7:25pm
THANKS FOR THE MOD! Any chance you can make a separate mod for "Force Marriages"? So that you can marry wedded prisoners.
Restricted Uncle 27 Feb, 2024 @ 6:46pm
For some reason when I have this mod on my characters have 0% fertillity
ACE  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 2:05am
That's probably a vanilla bug, like if she got pregnant before Rurik died then he is automatically flagged as the father. Kinda odd though how the child is still a member of your house. Anyways, my mod doesn't touch upon that code (as can be seen in the description, in the overwrites section).
RULERofSTARS 22 Jan, 2024 @ 10:15pm
too many discords :S
I romanced Ingrid Bjornsdottir and murdered Rurik, then made Ingrid my concubine. She gave birth soon after to Rurik's child who is actually mine, I can see by the traits and she's a member of my house. I am even getting Your first child... events. There is also no expose secret option for Ingrid.
I'm pretty sure none of my other mods are causing it, but I'm no expert. I do have the Elven Destiny mod? Like I say I'm no expert.
Cool mod though, thanks :)
