Hi my arcane crafting table doesn't have any bills associated with it at all. Can this be because of this mod?

To everyone complaining about the hay to straw issue - just go to the mod folder and go to 1.5/Patches/Medieval Overhaul, open up Straw_Poor_Nutrition.xml. On the 5th item, you'll see a PatchOperationReplace to turn StrawProcess to DriedHay. Press Enter below and above the entire operation (the line before <Operation Class... and the line after </Operation>) and on the line right above the operation, put "<!--" (minus the quotes) and on the line after the operation, put "-->"

It'll keep the code in case you mess it up, it just deactivates that operation. Don't forget to save the XML file after. You'll go back to drawing hay to straw. And if you have any questions, ask ChatGPT - I don't know shit about XML, that's what I did

Something about arbalests in your Combat Extended patch causes an error. Commenting out the last two operations in Insert_AmmoSets.xml made it go away.

I feel the change of straw for dried hay should be something that people should be able to set via the mod options.

"Straw is now a byproduct from processing grains into flour" - This is ridicolous, it's messes up a gameplay completely now you can't build any buildings that require straw because you get "dried hay" which is useless, straw is not a byproduct of processing grains in real life, why would you put that in a mod wtf :dirtytp:

Not sure if this is a bug, but I can't get straw, even when crushing stuff for flour. I just get hay. It's all hay. Straw is impossible to get. Hay dries into more hay. I find a lot of this useful, but maybe change how you have straw be handled?

Try updating your version of MO Patches. It appears you have updated MO but not this one. Certain things were moved to the main mod.

I'm sorry Hugslib is still acting up. I'll keep trying to get a full log. Here is the error:

Thanks I was able to find the code that was causing the error and take it out for now. I'm getting an error with the Processor Framework update though. I will get a log when I get home. Hugslib doesn't like me right now and I have to go to work.

@Scarlet I see what is going on. The patch is no longer needed from the looks in the Tribal Medicine and that error is harmless. I will get it removed during the next update.

@Alt The reason that this is not compatible with "Medieval Overhaul Misc. Patches" is that they patch MO things to match VE things. This one prioritizes MO and because it does the patches conflict too much.

Ferny was given permission to utilize some of my patches. I do not have any plans to make this mod compatible with theirs.

Progression: Agriculture says it's incompatible with this mod. I wonder if this mod could be rebuilt to make it compatible? (with this mod and ferny's other mods)

FYI:

If you find that your Adaptive Storage Primitive buildings become unusable, it's a bad interaction between this mod and ferny's mods. You can delete or comment out the contents of:
steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2730497766\1.5\Patches\AdaptivePrimitiveStorage_Patches.xml
oh, yeah let me also remind you that to get dried hay you need to use the drying rack of course!

for those that have a problem with using straw, I found a "fix" that pretty much replaces the need for straw with dried hay in game. You need to navigate your mod's files to do it though, lemme post that here until the author actually fixes it! Essentially my fix just makes dried hay behave like straw, that's all. (you can check if it works by trying to make the straw floor, not it will ask for 2 dried hay instead :) )

Here is the thing I did:
I found the mod in my steam files, here is the path to get to the mod: (see next comment)

You need to open this file with something like notepad++, then find any reference to "DankPyon_DriedHay" and replace it with "DankPyon_Straw"

FAIR WARNING: any dried hay you already had will simply dissapear, now its called "dried hay" but it's actually straw. ALSO: I have not fully tested this fix for any stability issues, only loaded a save to see that it works! beware of that! make backups!

Okay, this is a little strange but... If I build the soup pot from the production menu, my options are limited to stews. But if I spawn the soup pot from dev mode (ie. spawn thing), the soup pot contains all the soups. There may be some sort of strange overlap going on... user beware.

Does anyone know how to cook the soups? The soup pot can cook all of the stews, but there are no options for soups. Is this a mod conflict somehow?

I find it strange that this mod adds support for Apothecary's plants and clothes. But completely ignores everything else. Like charcoal, charcoal kiln, charcoal smithy, etc. Also, why it is not compatible with Medieval Overhaul Misc. Patches? What is the reason for that? That mod adds comparability for mods that this one is not. I find this strange too...

Another minor suggestion: maybe try to make traders sell BasicComponents? It is a bit weird that they always come with some Components but not their basic counterparts..

Even disabling the removal of excess plants and reloading the save doesn't allow me to plant corn.
